A well made Mini Boom
After years of holding on to my flimsy old tripod stands with cracked plastic fittings and booms that wobbled, I decided to upgrade specifically for recording. This Mini Boom is well made, and balances nicely. I will be getting another two soon!
You can't beat old-school Atlas
Atlas has been around for a LONG time. This baby-boom is typical of their products. Except for the adjusting knobs, the Atlas is all metal. Yes, there are other all-metal baby-booms, but not heavy-duty metal like this. The counterweight is also heavier than other manufacturers'. Other baby-booms may be cheaper, but they don't have the build quality of this one. If you are a professional, don't waste your time on other brands. They will underperform in a professional studio or onstage environment. Go with the Atlas.
