Perfect Actually

By David from AL on February 19, 2024 Music Background: Jack of all, master of none

Not sure about the previous review but the quality of build destroys Genos 2's plastic boat (unless there's a flood and you need rescuing) and the dual players provide you 179,000 possible statistical combinations of the 600 styles. The sound quality is unmatched and it does seamless sound transition not to mention the style crossfade. It never ceases to impress me and the capacitive touch is so precise you can actually DJ from the touch screen in real time seamlessly switching and mixing is mind blowing. Genos which I had previously and now G2 can't do either dual styles or seamless switching and is more expensive. PA5x already has the ambient w/round robin drums so G2 is only playing catchup. No capacitive touchscreen on G2 either and not adjustable. G2 also copying the improved Reverb on the Korg (besides HDMI & other features). Forget copying the Korg just go buy the real deal. For studio grade appearance and impressive quality like a work of art centerpiece that's all in the PA5x. True G2 is lighter but then if you break it you are out $.The fun and unlimited feature/quality factor without annoying sound cut-off award goes to Korg PA5x. I don't have the PA4x so I can't comment on that comparison.

Riddled with issues

By Joseph goldman from New Jersey on July 14, 2023 Music Background: Keyboardist

Hi, I am a KORG pa 4x user for a while now ,and before that had a KORG pa900, I bought a pa 5X right when it was released, exited for this new product as I was very happy the older KORG pa 4x.
Now its been a year and two updates since it was released and sorry to say a disappointment is an understatement as was when I got it, it was barely usable, freezing constantly ,it was a nightmare to use, it took KORG almost six months two release the first update, which made it playable, only it was missing a bunch of features that the older pa 4X had for example the entire style edit menu is a shadow of what was capable on the older pa 4X, around six months later (two days before i wrote this review) they released the second update, which added "some" of the missing features even so there are still some things missing and found some functions to be very laggy for example the transpose and octave buttons sometimes not even picking up the input if pressed to fast.
Over all this is A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT coming from a company like KORG and honestly not worth the insane price
Thanks hope this is helpful
