Free To Move Around and Great Sound
I've tried several less expensive IEM systems, and none of them performed well enough that I could make the switch for the long haul. The Shure PSM 300 is an excellent upgrade and works great for me so far! It's nice to have my own stereo mix while simultaneously playing guitar and vocal.
good thing!
I like it a lot, very quality, long stable range, for its price I very recommend it
Does the job
We use this as a companion to another identical set for our vocalists at our church. Works great!
Perfect
I play at church every week and have various gigs throughout the month. I use this for the pure purpose of being individually wireless for my IEMs.
I initially bought the xvive system and found that the sound quality was not as good as I would have liked. Being a keyboard player, I run most things I do in stereo and the xvive only runs mono.
This Shure system, although a little pricey, works like a dream and I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing that I would say is bad about it is the lack of instruction out of the box. Obviously a quick Google search and this is not a problem. It did, though, take me a few more minutes to set everything up because of this.
Thanks Josh and Sweetwater for all the help!
Great piece of equipment!
I'm using my Shure PSM300 for djing, switched to in-ear monitors a while back. I use them with my AM Pro30 from Westone.
It's light, I take it in my backpack, super easy to set up and the scan feature works like a charm. Highly recommended.
The only negative: batteries used for in-ear wireless systems last 2 to 3 hours. I recently bought some Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA, and my last gig lasted 5 hours, and the batteries were still halfway.
Nice
Very good is a nice product
Its a radio
It done did the thing it says it was supposed to. By some sort of witchery it makes sounds get to my ears when I'm not close or physically connected to the source. Amazing!
Great IEM Unit!
Easily rack mounted. I used the included hardware to place the antenna on the front of the transmitter. Ranch lid still has plenty of room to close. Crystal clear reception thanks to scan function. Metal body pack worth the additional money. Highly recommend!
Shure is awesome!
Have had no trouble with this unit. However, it’s a hungry little guy! The receiver eats through double A’s like a rat through cheese! Worth it for the quality!
WIRELESS IN EAR
I used this transmitter and receiver for the first time this weekend, and had no issues with it, no drops and a steady signal. About 4 weeks prior to this I had purchased the w40 in ears, they compliment the system just fine.
Excellent IEM system
The Shure PSM300 System delivers very clear audio. I recently purchased an additional system to add to my existing PSM300 dual IEM system that I"ve had for a while. I have had no reliability issues. Finding open frequencies is very easy to do. In addition, the metal body receivers are tough enough to have withstood being dropped on stage and even on concrete without any damage other than minor scratching to the paint. Sound is crystal clear. The Shure 215 ear buds work very well and deliver good quality sound for basic use, but I still prefer multi-driver ear buds at least for my purposes. I use the system in Mix Mode setting. That way, two separate aux sends can go to a single transmitter. In that configuration, two body pack receivers with different monitor sends can be used with one receiver. I have found that the body pack receivers do use batteries rather quickly compared to another major brand of IEM that my band"s touring production company uses, but it"s not a big enough difference to make this an issue. I highly recommend the Shure PSM300 P3TRA215CL.
Great Monitor
Great IEM. For an old guy on stage whose hearing is not a good as it used to be, this system puts everything up close and personal and I can set the volume to a level that works for me.
Clear and Sturdy.
We upgrade our super cheap eBay-bought system to this! Everyone on our worship team was so excited and shocked at how clear these are. The body packs are so sturdy and they connected very easily. We highly recommend them!
EZ
I'm a drummer and I'm getting old. I was needing a monitor solution that allowed me to bring the volume levels that my ears were exposed to down. The unit was very easy to set up and sync and the sound quality is very good. I bought the Shure SE 425 earbuds to go with this and the low end is tight and focused while the high end isn't splitting my head in half. I wish I had something like this 20 years ago.
Amazing!
I have had some other lower end in ear systems and this one blows them all away! Well worth the money. Simple to set up. The rack ears are included and the front mounting antenna option is a great addition. Signal is clear, and loud.
Solid
We use these for our praise band and they just work. Shure's reputation holds.
The initial setup isn't bad at all, and we've never had to "re-train" one even after a power outage. The sound has been reliably clean. The "entry level" earbuds work fine for most, though our bassist and drummer prefer to use headphones for better bass response. The buds have held up well too; I've had mine for a few years and have no issues. We haven't tried the higher-end buds with multiple drivers yet.
The range is good; I've wandered to the far end of the building and still had reception (a bit spotty, but the transmitter is buried amongst my guitar rig so I'm not surprised). We've had no problem with channel bleed, even with five of these, seven cordless mics, and a bunch of other airwave-littering gizmos in the sanctuary.
Shure PSM 300
I've been looking into purchasing these for a long time and I finally pulled the trigger on these last fall and every time I use them I ask myself why I waited so long. I use these in Church, bars, weddings, and everywhere else I play. I will never play without them again. I highly recommend the Shure PSM 300 system!
Shure PSM300 P3TRA215CL-G20
Love this product..a lot of bang for your buck. Signal transmission is outstanding, very easy to set up. Awesome 2 yr warranty from Sweetwater!
Fantastic in ears
Took me a long time to get some in ears. These are great. Its confusing but the pro edition gives you a better metal receiver and extra options that are really worth the $100 upgrade. Sound onstage is great and I won't blow my hearing too. If your serious about playing live I highly recommend them. Our whole band uses them. My advice, it takes a few gigs to get used to them. Also try different earpiece tips. The shure triple flange tips work very well (need to be wet before going in your ear) but try the other tips and experiment to what your most comfortable with. The triple flanges block out all ambient sound and you just hear the mix. Other tips let in more ambient sound (like the ones it comes with) and some people don't like that. If you gig a lot and do outdoor events you'll love these. At first I was skeptical about spending so much money for in ears but now I'm glad I did. I'm still experimenting with stereo vs mono/mix mode but everything is pretty easy to setup and use. I play better now that I hear everything clearer. Battery life is good I've been getting about 5-6hrs with 2 aa batteries. About 1.5 shows, I may start to use rechargeables soon. Everything seems pretty rugged and well made. No cheap plastic or anything.
SHURE G20
The very best of the best ! Very happy with the results, and so easy to set up !
And of course Sweetwater's service. None better !
Great easy to use IEM setup.
Overall, this is a really easy IEM system to use for a local performing musician like myself. It addresses all my performing needs being wireless and having a great sound for performing in loud bands without destroying my ears. I do wish the unit came with combination XLR/TRS inputs rather than just TRS only. Most stages don't really use TRS monitor sends, at least in my area, so I had to buy an adaptor to convert from XLR female to TRS male, but it works.
This monitor kicks Azz, love it, was a Huge improvement on stage over wedges just not a big fan of how the ear buds fit.
Just WOW
Just got 2 (3 more to come soon) integrated in my band and all I can say is WOW. Major upgrade from the Galaxy 1100. Feature set and sound quality is great.
My only complain is the earphones. They just don't fit as well as the westones. Could not get them to sit properly in my ears so can't say anything about the sound quality
Sweetwater, Brendan Murphy, Russ Gasper, thanks for your patience. I know i bothered you guys with all sort of questions but you were always willing to help.
Respect
Wireless Freedom!!

Haaa
Awesome!
Great Product, Fantastic Model, Incredible Choice
Extremely excited by this wireless monitor system. It’s the first one I’ve ever had, so this is more a review of the concept, than a comparison w other products. I’ve rehearsed with it for four or five days, and used it for one low volume gig. It looks and feels substantial and high quality. And it sounds fantastic! I’ve never heard myself so well!
That itself has a problem. It isn’t very forgiving! I stopped hearing my imagination, and began hearing what the speakers put out. I’ve got more to grow than I realized! Well, I needed to find that out; my audience already had!
I had some static initially, and some split second cuts in sound. I turned off everything in my house except PA, P3TRA, and lights. Still had it. Re-synching didn’t help either. Changed position of receiver from my belt to back pocket; taking antenna from resting against my back to suspended, and that helped some. Pretty sure I’ve tracked the issue down to a cheapy cable I’m using to take line level stereo 1/8 out on my PA, to mono 1/4 input on the P3TRA. By changing the way the cable hangs, the pops stopped and the static is minimized.
When I use just one side of the earbuds, it sounds great. (Non-dominant side, who’da thunk? That whole idea was from the leader of the band at church.) I can hear myself clearly and naturally. I could hear the audience just like normal. But when I use both sides, I notice a distinct change. I hear a proportional increase body vibration as opposed to monitor sound. The mix then changes, because perceived vocals ramp up compared to everything else. Running solo bud is fine, since I can still utilize the feedback free aspect of in ear monitors, and the stage mobility of wireless. But if I have to leave one ear open, it is not going to provide ear protection on high volume shows. Using the rubber inserts over the foam helped a tad, though those don’t help noise reduction as much, or I might try filling the free ear with open core musician ear plugs. I’ve done a bit of poking around online, and haven’t found anybody talking about this or how to get around it, besides having a full custom monitor mix.
I don’t have any troubles with fit or comfort, but then I’ve been using Shure foam in-ears at the gym for nine or ten years, and couldn’t be happier with them.
Salesman at my local music shop told me this was by far the best choice, at least compared to the lower level of P3. Many more variables to fiddle with, along w the metal receiver, for just $100 more. He thinks Shure will have troubles selling this, since it seems confusing compared to the other model.
Heavy Duty but...
Great system. RX is built like a tank and TX is also and it sounds fantastic but with AA batteries only lasts a few hours. Shure sells a lithium rechargeable battery that you have to buy a charger for also... For this price they should include a lithium battery. Kind of pricey for a battery and a plastic 1 amp charger.
Needs tweaking for me, lots of drop outs.
It seemed to work failry well right out of the gate for a few club shows. I did hear a some very quick dropouts every few minutes. I just did an outdoor show and it dropped out if I moved more than 15 feet from the unit. I did do a channel scan whan I got there. In its defense, I did not front mount the antenna in my rack case, but did have the back facing out toward me. I just front mounted the antenna, (extension and adapter included), so will check out a couple more shows. It also is very sensitive to movements and dropouts. Don't know if it's the antenna on the receiver, the earbuds or the earbud input.
