Pearl P2052C Eliminator Redline Chain Drive Double Bass Drum Pedal Reviews
Fans of the original Eliminator have even more to love in the Eliminator Redline. Pearl took everything that made the PowerShifter Eliminator a legend - speed, response, throw, and an interchangeable cam system - and "redlined" it for top performance. Each of the Redline's four cams is redesigned to let drummers customize their playing experience even further. Cams snap into place on the fly and are color coded for quick identification. The Redline borrows the Demon Drive's NiNja skateboard bearings with micro-polished steel balls for reduced friction and lightning speed. Pearl's QuadBeater gets an update as well: the business end is slightly reduced and now incorporates an anti-vibration Control Core, which allows all four playing surfaces to flex for reduced vibrations and better performance.

THE BEST UPGRADE TO AN ALREADY AWESOME PRODUCT!
In the past, I've used the Pearl Eliminator Series Double Bass Pedals. I always thought they were the best.
I was wrong, the newly upgraded Redline Series Eliminator Pedals are now the best. I prefer the black cams but at least I can switch them to something different I choose. These pedals are built well and have a great feel. You won't be disappointed!
Fast and Aggressive
Great pedal with a lot to offer. From the different modules to the different axis points makes for a great pedal for any foot.
Pearl Eliminator Redline Review
I absolutely love this pedal so much. This is by far the best kick pedal I have ever used!
Awesome pedals
The action is crazy smooth! Because these pedals gives drummers more options than most other brands of pedals,it's gonna take me a few sessions to find the setting that feels and performs the best for me, but the black cam and the spring settings straight out of the box felt good.
I can say for sure that Pearl wasn't kidding about the red cam;that cam is for the heels-up stompers. Hulk drummers would love that cam! This pedal is solid.
Excellent
This pedal is smooth and steady. Excellent quality and playability.
Best pedals I've ever owned!
Played with all the cams, and played around with the new beater. Absolutely LOVE THIS PEDAL! Found out I'm a blue cam guy. Smoothest pedal out there without Absolutely murdering your budget! Recommend the chain drive!
Amazing!!
Wish I could give it 6 stars to be honest. It is very smooth and responsive! I love how adjustable it is and I just love the look of the pedal.
I don't just play one genre of music. One day im in the mood for cranking out some blast beats, the next day I wanna do some nice and chill smooth jazz. And all the adjustable features of the pedal help me make the switch between genres so much easier!!
It's a great pedal and I recommend it to anyone!!
Pearl eliminator red line and Sweetwater.
First off, Sweetwater is the bomb. Places my first order 6 weeks ago and since then have ordered a bunch of sh&t. Every order perfect and on time every time. The best customer service is not having to deal with customer service because every order is dead nuts on.
As far as the Pearl eliminator? By far the best peddle I've ever played. Played it right out of the box with a slight adjustment to one spring. Perfect from the start. I love this pedal. Well worth the money.
One of the best on the market
I bought these after learning Danny Carey of TOOL used them, but I had no idea they were this good. The build quality is superb and they are beautiful. I bought a pair of Trick PRO 1Vs after, and went back to these, that's how good they are. I play them now with Danmar felt beaters and a Trick Drive Shaft and I can't imagine a better pedal for me. For the money, these rival any boutique pedals on the market, can confirm.
Pearl Double Pedal
It's a great pedal for sure! I've used Pearl pedals for years. They don't disappoint.
Smoothest Pedal I've Owned
I've been playing drums for over 35 years and I've tried many other pedals. This pedal is very smooth and has great response. I prefer this pedal over the Tama Speed Cobra. Don't bother spending a ton of money to get great pedals, you will get your monies worth from these and they will work for any genre/style of music.
Ridiculously comfortable speedy and smooth
It's not just the look it's the feel. The minute you take these out of the awesome Pearl tour bag, you end up putting it together right away. First it's the look then it's the feel these are very smooth and speedy double kick. I was the hugest iron cobra fan by Tama and I can feel a difference in these for the money this is worth it extremely diverse.
Great investment
I find that the more variety that is available to me on the drum set just encourages me to practice more more. This is a fine piece of machinery that I would recommend to anyone
Muy buenos
Son cómodos versátiles fácil de ensamblar y tienen desde ser muy pesados hasta relativamente liviano y dan un sonido constante y robusto
Redlines for death metal, and everything else. (YOU DONT NEED AXIS PEDALS KIDS)
So I've been playing some insane fast death metal stuff for the past decade (check out Oppressor God on youtube or bandcamp to see what im talking about).. anyways I've been through a lot of pedals and experimentation.
PDP Double Pedal w/iron cobra beaters (no adjustments)
Pearl Demon Drives (Started falling apart after about 5 years...too light feeling, but very smooth)
Trick Bigfoot's (didnt really feel right and after about 3 years of endless tweaking I gave up on them)
Now I'm on Pearl Redline Eliminators (Smooth, powerful and plenty of adjustments.) Im currently using them with the blue cams, belt drives, spring tension almost all the way out and trick pro1v beaters at about 30 degrees or 7.5" inches away from the head, and a trick driveshaft(mandatory). Loads of power, long throw, and still plenty fast. Comfortable swivel technique up to 235 bpm, switch to double strokes up to 280 bpm and this pedal keeps up just fine. As well as gives me the dynamic range for any genere to top it off. Its really an amazing pedal.
Listen to me... you don't need,Tricks, or axis, or czarci kopyto pedals for metal (while they are all great in their own right..) These are industry standard for a reason.
Fairly priced, abundant parts, smooth, powerful, adjustable, and they just FEEL right...I cant explain it. With the trick driveshaft and the beater weight of your choice, you have a winning combo.
Reliable Eliminators
This is the third set of Pearl Eliminators I've purchased over the past several years. One set goes on the studio's kit, one on my Ludwig acoustic kit, and the third on my Roland TD-50 V-Drums. All three sets play the same so there's no adjustment required when making the transition from the rehearsal kit to the studio kit to the stage kit. These pedals are reliable, road-worthy, and have a consistent feel from one set to the next.
One of the best
I can't really top Nick D'Virgilio but let me point out a few important things.
1). You don't need the more costly Demon drive. This has a more conventional (not acquired) feel, and it costs HUNDREDS less.
2) There is no human alive that can exceed the limits of these pedals.
3) If you already have the excellent P-2002 power shifter, these are not a "Must have". . They are a refinement of an already excellent pedal for the same price.
4) They feel as smooth as DW9002, but not as light as Tama speed cobra or Sonor.
These are superb any way you cut it, top notch with a great number of adjustments. They can play any genre perfectly, though for jazzers I'd recommend the belt drive with a "round" cam.
BUY IT! WORTH EVERY PENNY!
I must say this is one of the most smoothest pedal in the market today. Been using is for a week now and i feel great with this pedal, super light and fast! Ive tried the demon drive pedal and compared with this it felt similar to me there are some noticeable difference of course because the other one was a direct drive system. If your looking for a pedal with smoother feel and light weight, try this pedal and it will blow your mind and feel1
Pearl Eliminator Redline Double Bass Drum Pedal - Chain Drive
The pedals are everything you would wish for. Adjustable, fast, and smooth, The only thing that would make it better would be my left foot not sucking, but it's getting better!
Terribly built
Bought this pedal about a year ago through Sweetwater. I've been barely drumming since then, just wanted to get back into it since Covid.
Started recording today and the spring for the right pedal snapped and shot a piece of it into my arm. Glad it didn't hit my eye. Thank god it cost almost $. Don't spend your money on this garbage. Pulled out my iron cobra from 2012 to finish recording after I cleaned myself up. Don't buy this pedal. It's made to break
Disappointing
It was a decent pedal, the springs aren't silent when they're loose, which is how I like them.
Also the slave action was pathetically restricted.
My 17 year old original power shifter double is mechanically superior to this.
The old spring linkage is completely silent
And the slave pedal has a nice free rocking motion to it
