Schecter Omen Elite-7 Multiscale 7-string Electric Guitar - Charcoal Reviews
From the neck to the pickups to the scale length, the Schecter Omen Elite-7 Multiscale electric guitar is an axe designed to fully harness its 7-string potential! The core of this instrument is its 25.5–27-inch scale length, allowing for even the lowest drop-tuned chug with ideal string tension and intonation across the entire fingerboard. On the skinny side, the Omen Elite-7’s fast thin “C” profile is all but guaranteed to up your speed, while the rosewood fingerboard’s 24 jumbo frets and flat 16-inch radius are perfect for modern metal technicality. Finally, the gorgeous burl-topped mahogany body is loaded with two of Schecter’s Diamond Heretic humbuckers, a pair of pickups fully optimized for brutal 7-string riffage, cutting lead tones, and sparkling cleans with endless articulation.

Awesome Riffer
You are looking at a great riff monster for the price. You really can't beat it for multiscale 7 Strings. If you want to chug out some nasty Drop G/ Drop F even riffs, then you are in luck. The pickups are super clear and expressive, but also hold up to distortion very well. The neck has an awesome satin feel, which I love for sliding riffs or solos, so my hand doesn't get stuck on the neck. The body hugs you well, and it is more beautiful in person. The painted top is jaw dropping, but the exposed wood back is even better. It's like a sensory experience holding this guitar, with the contrasting feels. My only minor complaint is the tuners are a little unresponsive, but you are going to find much better at this price. Schecter has really outdone themselves with this guitar.
Nice new gun for the arsenal
I bought this to go the other way. UP!
And it immediately added some color to a recording I was working on. I ordered custom gauge strings from StringJoy (50-40-30-20-15-10-8) to move up the scale, rather than down. I tuned the standard E-A-D-G-B-A. Then I went to G# for string 1. It worked perfectly for my song, "Paradise" (link below).
It's lovely, and very light, despite the body being mahogany, which is a very dense wood. The intonation was spot on, even with the altered tuning. The neck is great, tonal choice options are not quite as wide as similar guitars I own.
