Great Guitar for the Price
I love my schecter omen elite 7 (standard scale), I've played a number of 7 strings but this is the first I've owned. It's got a good sound, built like a tank, the neck is great (thin but not ibanez thin) and offers a lot of good bang for your buck. It's also beautiful. It didn't come out of the box perfect as the guitar detuned very quickly. I took the guitar into my local Guitar Center to check the neck/intonation and to also get it working in a drop f# tuning (first time I ever ventured dropping that low). After a bit of work everything seems to work great, it's not detuning quickly anymore. I'm going to pick up the Strinjoy 74 extra heavy set and see if that works better as using regular 8 string slinky's dont seem to make for super consistent tension. Overall for the price I think this thing is great, and with the 27" inch scale downtuning this bad boy is solid.
