This is THE castanet machine for any school program and ensemble, seriously, this is it. No strings. Easy tension. Solid base. Absolutely nothing to break, stop working, or have to fix. It's more expensive, but it's a lifetime instrument. Nothing finer until you get into finer woods / handles vs machines / very specific percussion needs.
