Martin OM-28E Acoustic-electric Guitar - Natural Reviews

I saw a demo model on the website that was discounted due to heavy scratches, but more in my price range. My gear expert, Christophe Gerstle, was patient and thorough. We searched the photos online to see the scratches but they were unclear. Once I received the guitar the scratches were mostly invisible and the guitar looked brand new. The 25 point inspection and the additional 2 year warranty offered by Sweetwater sealed the deal.

I bought the guitar with the Fishman electronics since some places that I visit with an open mic, assumes that everyone has built in electronics and I have had to borrow a guitar to play. That being said, it does stand out as a straight acoustic guitar and the Fishman electronics seem to deliver acoustic quality sound. I need to play around with the settings to understand how the different settings sound since onboard electronics is still new to me. Overall this is an outstanding guitar and highly recommend it, even over the 000-28! I can't wait to bring it into the studio for my next CD later this summer!

If you come across any demo model don't hesitate to buy, it seems that Sweetwater over states any blemishes and certainly goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I will be bringing it to my local luthier to set up the guitar to my specifications but it is certainly playable as I received it.

I am very particular and did a LOT of research and study into tone woods, body size, feet lengths, bindings, pickups, bracing, the whole 9. Went to every guitar store in a 50 mile radius and played many many guitars, and could not shake the way the OM-28 felt, played, and sounded. Unfortunately(and actually fortunately) I wasn't able to purchase it at the time I played it, and had to get money together.

I got the money and every guitar shop was very very low on inventory due to manufacturing shut downs due to COVID, but sweetwater was able to get it the fastest and had the best reputation. I was extremely nervous to purchase a guitar I had never played, but it is absolutely flawless! It was everything I remembered and more. Sounds beautiful, plays smooth, and has a big personality. Sweetwater and Alex did a phenomenal job caring for, and checking the guitar when they received it, and got it to me quickly once Martin opened up manufacturing.

This guitar is amazing and the LR Baggs makes it shine on a sound system and have had no problems with feedback even when pickup is turn all the way away from under saddle pickup. Was also very pleased at how much body this guitar has, was kind of concerned not getting a d-28, but this was the right one for me. Happy camper here!

Purchased this guitar in May and is easily one of my favorites. Huge fan of the LR Baggs Anthem and Tom Maxwell was great in assisting me with this purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another guitar from Sweetwater

The guitar is flawless, a true work of art. The fit and finish is stunning. The sound right out of the box is fantastic and can't wait to get her broken in.

Received my guitar about 45 days ago. Michael from Sweetwater did every thing he could do to help me.
Being a Martin man now for 30 years I only have one problem. Martin is now using select hardwood for the neck. All of my other high end Martins have a mohogany neck and I feel is very much missed on this... guitar. Other than that the Sweetwater 55 point inspection and set up is excellent.
