Oasis OH-1 Guitar Humidifier
Oasis OH-1 Guitar Humidifier Reviews
Because tap and bottled water contain dissolved minerals that can clog the humidifier's liner, it is recommended that you use distilled water with this product.
need regular attention
the oasis does a decent job if you keep it monitored. i'm a luthier & seen several of these that were used by lazy clients. if left dry too long the waterproof membrane will fail & it will leak. i tried one & gave it away. you also need to be careful when filling it. if you overfill it the gel beads will be washed out.
needs constant monitoring
It's ok for a guitar that's played regularly. It needed a top up just 3 days after installing in a case that was already at 41% humidity. For guitars that are stored I prefer the D'Adarrio humidipak system as it's good for several months. They should also give buyers a warning about overfilling. The first time I filled it I overfilled it slightly & when the water overflowed several of the gel beads spilled out.
USE OH-6
I give this two stars becuse you are putting WATER in your instrument!
I use OH-6 which I clip on the inside of my guitar cases. One near headstock and one oppsite cut away. Case stays closes and between 46 and 52%
The OH-3 kit has one of these but I need two (and like a different hydrometer)
