Hummingbird Original
Great guitar, very happy with this purchase. The mahogany body paired with Sitka top produces a classic Gibson tone. Short scale, rosewood fingerboard, and round neck profile make it very playable. If you have played Gibson electrics or acoustics it will feel like an old friend. Nice balance of low, mid, and high frequencies and equal volume across all strings. Good volume and sustain, single notes in the upper registers really ring out nicely. Baggs Element VTC (volume, tone, compression) does a nice job of accurately producing the acoustic tone when amplified. It does not sound boxy like some under saddle pickups. Gibson Bozeman did a great job building this guitar and with Sweetwater's inspection process it came to me in perfect condition, set up and ready to play with no adjustments needed. Service from my rep Bart Amburn, and from Sweetwater in general was, as always, excellent. Ordered late on a Tuesday and was in my hands Friday morning. This Hummingbird from Gibson's original collection is beautiful without being gaudy. Gotoh tuners seems really solid and the guitar stays in tune well.

Wow
These guitar sounds so pristine and when you plug them in and it sounds even better there is a slight hum when plugged in but that's to be expected. The only reason why I didn't give it a full five stars is because one of my tuning keys was bent but Sweetwater was excellent with their service and sent me a replacement ASAP I pop them in good as new
Beautiful Bird
I didn't care for a natural finish on guitar. But this one is really appealing and casts an exciting spell to pick it up when seen. The round profile neck, isn't to thick and not much at all of difference between the slim taper neck of the Southern Jumbo Original and J45 Standard.. When strummed Mine isn't as loud as the Southern Jumbo, but is more mellow. Phosphor Bronze strings on the Hummingbird, Nickle Bronze on the Jumbo.. The strings isn't the deciding factor between the two. Hummingbird is just more mellow.. I did have it set up. Nut filed, saddle shaved and neck relief set. The Gibson spec. card that came with original set up measurments was wrong. With all being said. The Hummingbird Original, is a great looking and sounding guitar. But one and let it cast it's spell on you to..
