I am enjoying these speakers so much. They sound true and have enough volume where I am thinking about using them playing out live.

I just received and set-up a replacement for these monitors because the initial pair wasn't powering-up. So Sweetwater exchanged them. So this is my second review on these. No issues that I can tell with these. They sound great for near-field speakers. I my Nord piano 5 in a home set-up so these are great. They look great and attach easily to the piano. Dylan at sweetwater was great through the process. I have bought several items from them and this was the first time using has any issues and glad these were resolved to my satisfaction. I have come across complaints on the Nord forum about static and hiss from these but one thing I did was upgrade the cables to Mogami gold and I don't have any unwanted noise even when they are on standby: total silence. I haven't had any issues with my Nord piano which is two years old aside from the triple pedal which broke at the connection to the sustain output earlier this year and since these are pricey I just opted to buy a single Nord sustain pedal.

I'm currently on my second pair. I bought the first pair and it only took about 3-4 weeks before the speakers starting making an interesting buzzing sound, particularly the right one. I let SweetWater know right away and they sent me a new pair right away becuase they have phenomenal customer service. I tried just replacing the right one from the new set that that was even worse. Terrible buzzing and scratching sound when they were linked together. So after that I put the two new speakers together and they worked great for about 4 months. Now, I'm back to the right speaker buzzing again.

The buzzing is not constant when powered on. It only happens for certain notes. The first pair buzzed the worse when playing E4, and a few notes around the same frequency. This second pair has the worst buzz for F#4. It's almost as if something flimsy inside is coming unglued after use. I have never turned the speakers up to full volume either, maybe 3/4 Max when playing. Once I started using the strings sounds, that seems to make the issues come forth.

For the price, I don't think this should be happening just a few months into use. While they do sound amazing in the beginning, if you're in a sound-proofed studio, you'll surely start to notice the buzzing. Nord forums seem to have the same issues arising.

I'm past the SweetWater return window, so this means I'd have to go directly through Nord to address this issue, which will surely be a pain as I've also read through the forums.

Perhaps you should consider a more reliable speaker for your amazing Nord keyboards.

! As most have already said, they sound great and they attach (to my Piano 5) easily. They have surprisingly good bass and a nice "woody" resonance. I've used them as stage monitors and also will try them solo this weekend in a small venue where I will be accompanying a vocalist. In either case, our jazz duo/trio is not very loud, so they do fine. One clarification - this listing says that they come with "2 stereo pairs of TRS cables"; however, they do not. The cable plugs are the TS type. There is no need for TRS cables (i.e., plugs) in this application, which has separate right and left TS input jacks. The monitors and brackets are top-notch and solid; the cables... pretty meh for such an expensive set. You'd think they would be Mogami/Neutrik at this price point. At least the plugs all are the right angle type (except for the power cord!). Okay, so I was able to put in my gripes about the price (like all good nord owners do), but I admit that I'm glad I bought them and would recommend them to anyone in a playing situation like mine (in any home setting, they will be more than adequate). No, I didn't buy the case. My wife found a perfect, small, nicely padded, wheeled cooler, which fits them perfectly and even has an outside pocket for the brackets like the nord version does. She's also making a pair of nice, cuddly, plush covers for them to help preserve their legendary "je ne sais quoi"!

I've been a professional musician for over 45 years . I got the V2s back in September. After a month, I wrote a complimentary review . I thought the were good but not great . I thought they were a little pricey when compared to other speakers . I played my music for listening through them and was not really impressed. In my review I said that Nord CLAIMED they were tuned for Nord piano sounds. I was somewhat skeptical of that claim . After nine months , I must say they have a WONDERFUL sound. I bought some " better" speakers for music listening . I played the Nord through them and they didn't sound as good , for the Nord ,as the V2s. I guess their engineers know what their doing!
They have a very warm , woody sound like a real grand . Aesthetically, they match the grand and look beautiful. They sit in the perfect position for monitoring the piano .

For my Nord Stage 3 using the monitors RCA Sub Out does not give my Sub enough signal.
Changes were needed. I routed my A&H board out to inputs on my Yamaha HS8S 150W studio sub and then sub out to the Nord Monitors. Wow huge improvement, lots of bass and headroom for such a small system. My other system is QSC K8.2s with EV12" powered sub for more power. Very happy with both.

The V2 monitor system sound good and are well thought out . The are near field monitors. When mounted , they are in the PERFECT spot for monitoring the piano sounds . They match color of the piano and were designed (or so they claim ) to enhance the piano , sound of the keyboard . They volume at max is about the volume of a large grand . I think they are a bit pricey but since they are designed with acrostic and appearance in mind , one could say they are worth it . I did change the cables provided ( which looked cheap and low grade ) with PREMIUM cakes . It made a noticeable Change.
Premium cables are NOT MUMBO JUMBO!

I purchased these along with my Nord Stage 388 and WOW! Impressive low end (for the size) and very responsive on top.

We purchased these for our Nord Grand and it is a wonderful experience playing the instrument with the monitors. We transport the keyboard weekly, and it is not difficult to set up the monitors and attach them to the piano. I only wish they did not charge so much for the case for the monitors. It would be nice to have it, but there is no way we are paying $ for a simple case like that. We are using another bag that cost less than $20 and probably works just as well. I also wish they had allowed for a through XLR right and left output to go to the house system. If you are going to use the monitors in a live situation you will want to purchase a stereo direct box. I'm sure that most people use stage monitors in a live situation and don't bother with the Nord Monitors, but we prefer to use them.

I have a Nord Piano 4 and when I received the Piano Monitors it was a bit of a disappointment that the bolts included didn't fit on the back of my piano. *(they were slightly wider in size) I've got in touch with Sweetwater and Nord and receive and email back from Nord, were they recognised the issue and would send me the right ones.
The sound you get from the monitors is slightly "narrower" in the spectrum compared to my previous speakers and the Nord monitors give the Piano a little bit of an "electronic-fake" sound that is NOT A DEAL BREAKER but may require adapting to your preferences. (at least mine) after some days I got used to them and love the placement attached to the piano and how they sound and feel.
