You get what you pay for.
1st off. This neck came "done". No need to have a luthier finish the neck. The feel of the neck is awsome. Dosnt feel like a finish on it. Roasted maple can got raw without any real failures of performance. Frets are dressed and crowded perfect. The edges are rolled. A very nice feel to the neck. It's drilled for Fender Locking tuners. They dropped right in! When i installed the neck, it went right into the neck pocket of a 1996 Fender EC Strat. Perfect fit.
This is a great neck for replacement. The price will keep Some people away, but if you want "American" Fender necks. You're gonna pay. I saved up for it! Well worth the wait.
