Fender Vintera Mod 50's Stratocaster Roasted Maple Neck Reviews

Genuine Fender Vintera Mod '50s Roasted Maple Stratocaster Guitar Neck with Roasted Maple Fingerboard, 9.5" Radius, and Soft "V" Profile

The Fender Roasted Maple Vintera Mod '50s Stratocaster Neck may just be the upgrade your Strat is clamoring for. Roasted until it reaches optimal dryness and beauty, this maple neck is more resistant to humidity shifts and temperature changes than non-roasted necks. The '50s-era Soft "V" profile gives this neck a handfeel that's straight out of the old school, with plenty of wood in the palm and yet clearance enough for thumb-over players. Together with its 9.5" fretboard radius and 21 medium-jumbo frets, the Fender Roasted Maple Vintera Mod '50s Stratocaster Neck has something for all eras of Fender fans.

A great partscaster neck

By Wayne from Alabama
Music Background: Hobbyist

I purchased this neck for a Hardtail partscaster build. All I had to do was replace the unfinished bone nut with a Graphtec nut and install it. This neck feels better than my American Pro Strat's neck due to the soft V profile. This profile is perfect for thumb over playing. While I do enjoy the Jumbo frets on my Professional, the mediums that come on this neck feel great. I'm also a sucker for 21 fret necks, they just look better to my eyes. The roasted maple is a plus too. The neck is silky smooth and is extremely stable.

Great neck

By Scott from Lincoln, NE

This roasted maple neck turned my CV 50's strat into a serious guitar. I love the soft-V neck on my Baja tele but never liked the neck shape on my strat, so the solution to improving my strat was to upgrade the neck (thanks Leo!). The roasted maple is beautiful and the satin finish on the back feels great. From my perspective, you just can't beat the Fender soft-v shape. The peg holes were a little too large for my Gotoh staggered tuner bushings, so they needed to be shimmed. I took it to a tech for the installation of tuners, string tree, nut filing, and final set up. The only original parts remaining on this CV 50's strat are the body and the bridge/claw. It was a pretty good guitar out of the box, but now I think it is great. The neck is not cheap, but it is very good. Thanks, as always, to Ben Robinson.
