These are the best strings I've ever used hands down no questions asked. Pre stretched, more bendable than just about any other strings on the market.

Since trying these strings it's all I use on my show guitars. Sustain is great, and they last! First thing I do when adding a guitar is set it up and change the strings to NY/XL's!

Use these on all my guitars. Great stability, good sound, consistent from package to package. Expensive, yes. I cannot really say how long these last because I change strings often, but at least as long as the regular D'Addario XL strings. I probably log 20-30 hours on these strings between changes. I have never broken one of these and play a lot of blues and bend strings like crazy. Highly recommended and also the regular D'Addario XL strings are also fantastic, especially if you gig outdoors and/or change your strings a lot since they are cheaper. These NYXL super light strings sound full, warm, with a crisp high end. Very smooth playability for either hardpicking or fingerpicking.

I've played guitar since the 60's and once I tried these strings, they're all I use now. Great sound, feel and they last a good while. Definitely worth a try if you're exploring string options. I use them on Strats, btw.

NYXL are the best strings I've used, very noticeable sustain and clarity,worth the higher price, you won't be changing strings as often

I think these are the best strings I have ever used over the years.

These strings are incredible. They last me six months easily without any sound or playability degradation. The sound is phenomenal: full bit bright and lively. I normally use the 10s, but in guitars with longer scale these 9's produce a lower tension and are more playable to my taste.

Using these strings on all my guitars. Tone is great on single coils and humbuckers.

If you want a regular set of strings, get these. They consistently feel and sound great.

Whether your a beginner or a seasoned performer or even a studio musician, new strings sound better, crisper, and hold notes and tones longer. As for my own preference D'Addaro strings have been my choice for a very long time, over 50 years of playing. Suggestion, when changing to new strings, once you get them on grab each one and tug up on it, go ahead it won't break, then attach a tuner and then when tuning go a little past the correct pitch, then tune back down to your desired pitch. Don't worry their new strings, they'll stretch. Once all six/twelve or four are tuned, play it a little then re-tune a couple of times and then you should be set. As for D'Addaro Strings, I give them a 5 star all the way. Sweetwater inc. 5 star also. Fast delivery.

I have been jamming since the late 60,s. Tried many Guitars and string configurations. My ultimate guitar is a vintage 335 Gibson.I went from 11's to 10,s. It was still hard to bend and tough on my fingers.None of the brands would last. When I tried the NYXL 09142s, It was a match made in heaven!! So smooth,Great sustain,Bending ease,Last forever. Sings like a Blue Jay and I have not broke one yet! Thank You D'Addario. You hit a home run with this one! I just hate it took me 68 years to find this perfect combination.

So, I held off on paying the extra $ for these NYXL strings thinking that they are probably just repackaged regular ol' D'Addario strings in a a fancier box. After reading more reviews I took the plunge and bought a few pair. I haven't had them very long, so I cannot attest to the claim that they last really long, BUT I will tell you that they stay in tune better than the regulars. And they just really feel and sound awesome! So I'm hooked and will recommend you try and see for yourself. CIAO brothers

I usually use the D'Addario NYXL0940BT. I like them better because they are balanced. I purchased these because I could get 3 sets at a discounted price and I have 4 guitars to maintain. They last a long time and have superior stability over the other strings I've tried over the years. Some would argue there is not enough difference to notice the slight string gauge while playing, but I would argue there is. I will go back to 9-40's, but it will be awhile as these NYXL's do last around 4 month's for me and I am a daily player. Some would say these strings are too expensive (and I agree), but before NYXL's I use to change strings on a weekly basis, not a monthly basis! Also I want to mention my sales consultant at Sweetwater Adam. Awesome, need I say more! Service is great and he has shown over the years I can rely on him and Sweetwater for great service and support!

Nice bright strings I have these on my strat and Ibanez prestige and they sound amazing on both highly recommend

These stay in tune and last longer than most others, well worth the money. Once you stretch them properly, you are all set.

Put them on my Squier and they sound great. Have had them on for just a short few days but if initial impressions are true I'm going to love them. Everything I had been told about them is spot on it seems. Will update as I have more time with them. Thanks Sweetwater.

Great strings. I mainly use these on my Floyd Rose guitars and I have been really enjoying them. I find they last about 3 times longer from fresh to stink on my guitar. When new I notice a bit more brightness to this string than normal XL strings. They also seem to clean up a bit nicer than XL. Tension feels about the same as XL too.

Excellent and thoroughly consistent and comfortable! Nate is the man!

The D'Addario are the best strings I have used. The tone and feel is great, had them on my Strat and Tele about 2 weeks love them, reminds me of the story of the 3 bears:

Ernie Ball Super Slinky's, smooth, but dull.
Fender Bullets, bright but rough.
D'Addario's, Just right, smooth and bright.

These are my go-to strings and are on all my guitars. They are reliable to keep their sound and I have not broken one yet. Sweetwater has the best deal on them so it’s a no brained who to go to or what strings to put on. Give them a try!

I had a set on and when came time to change my strings I switched to some Elixirs because I was given a free set I have since switched back these strings sound better and stay in tune waaaaay better on my Strat. I do believe I am going to keep using these since they work so well on my Strat

NYXL's are by far, in my opinion, the best sounding and most comfortable strings I had ever played. Been a Ernie Ball man since the 70's. These surpass EB Colbalt and Paradigm in sound and quality. That's hard to beat. Especially the Paradigm.

I am super impressed by these strings. They provide thick, chunky bottom for heavy rhythm, and great sustaining highs for leads -- and everything in between. Holy wow! They sound so good, that they make me WANT to practice! I strung up my Jackson Dinky Rev., Fender Strat, and Gibson Midtown Custom with these, and the strings sound amazing on every guitar. From now on, I won't use any strings but these. Excellent product, D'Addario! For once I can say this with great happiness... "Keep stringing me along!"

NYXL's are hands down the highest quality of string right now. It totally beats Ernie Ball. The "NYXL" has a significant difference compared to the regular D'Addario strings. Just try out the gauge you like and enjoy!!

These things are flat out amazing.
Hold tuning an exceptionally long time.
Bend the living daylights out of them
Dive bomb all day and night.
And they go right back to pitch.
Brite with great punch and increased sustain and harmonics.
Only downside is the price.

I bought a Gibson Flying V recently, and found that the strings would not stay in tune very well. So, having a set of locking Grover tuners on my Les Paul Standard that do stay in tune, I figured I'd have to upgrade. So I went to the music store looking for Grover locking tuners. The guy instead turned me onto these strings. I have to say I'm impressed. They do stay in tune better. So well, in fact, that I'm no longer considering buying locking tuners. I will definitely buy these strings again.

My daughter and I use these string in 9-42 or 9-46 every time we perform live. We've tried most everything including the new EB Paradigm and we still prefer these.

Great strings. Replaced the original set wfrom when I bought my Jackson with these. Always been a fan of D'Addario strings and these live up to it. A little more expensive than some strings, but I think they are worth it.
