The best voice over mic!

Great mic!!
I have nothing bad to say about this mic - the quality is amazing and is perfect for any video/film professional. My favorite part is that it has a pretty hot output so you don't have to have another preamp going into your recorder.
Big Bang for the Buck
This Shotgun mic is awesome and works wonderfully. It captures extremely clear sounds that are crisp to the ear and at a low cost.
So good I bought another!
This mic is absolutely amazing! I use it for video interviews mostly and it always sounds so clear. I bought a wireless lav at the same time as this, but I haven't even used it yet, because this is just so good. I've done video interviews indoors in quiet and loud settings, and outdoor in quiet and loud settings. Audio is always usable. in one interview there was a big diesel truck that parked right behind the guy I was interviewing and it just ran its engine the whole time. Even though I didn't have the best mic placement since I had this attached to my shoulder rig pointing toward the talent in "run and gun mode" instead of booming from above I was still able to hear and understand everything he was saying. The noise level bothered me, but it was still usable. I was trying to decided between this and the mk416, but after hearing them side by side I couldn't justify the the price of the mk416. I just purchased another ntg3 I like it so much! I do have to add a bit of presence in post that the mk416 seems to have naturally but for 2/3 the price I think I'm ok with adding some eq!
