Best, Most Versatile Noise Reducer
I've used multiple different noise reducers over the years, and there are several really good ones out there. But this one has four different modes and an LED readout, and pairs perfectly with my Boss SD-1W. It kills the noise and doesn't alter my tone at all. Highly recommended!
This worked EXCELLENT for me and my VH4
I really like having a good noise gate on my high gain rigs. My Diezel VH4 is a tone monster and doesn't have a built in noise gate. I run this after my tuner and it's BOSS lol. Both the gate and reduction modes work great for me. I can even use my Gibson LP special (noisy P90 pickups) with high gain without a problem. Very cool!

Amazing
Over the years I've tried sever noise suppressors. All had various issues. Being too slow or cutting off portions of the notes being played. I saw a video on YouTube and thought here we go again but it's worth a shot. I do a lot of recording by putting microphones on the amp I'm playing through. The resulting recording generally has me using various plugins to remove the noise. No more. This noise suppressor works. This is the first suppressor to exceed expectations. This is the real deal.

Talk about cutting the noise out. Boss you did it right this time. All I can say get one and you will not regret it. Especially if you tried everything to get rid of that noisy interference's. This bad boy will do the trick. With out killing your sound. Super clean and rocking with clarity.
Early Days but I’m Impressed! Totally transparent and lightning fast
Saw the video demo on the Studio Rats' YouTube and came immediately to Sweetwater to order this thing. It arrived today and in my wildly noisy home studio I could not believe how transparently it operates - you don't hear or feel the gate working at all. Super light picking opens up the gate so fast it feels like it wasn't closed in the first place.
I'm using the "gate" mode because it feels the most natural while still suppressing literally all of the noise.
At $, this pedal isn't exactly cheap, but if you really have noisy gear (especially single coils with drive pedals, a dirty amp, etc.), this pedal is the business!
No improvement over NS2
Note - this pedal does its job, however in my experience not an improvement over NS2 … make sound more tinny on Gate channel no matter how i adjusted the setting. Noise reduction is a bit more fancy than the original NS2 but same effect at the end IMO. The only practical purpose i found is to reduce noise on my solo channel in conjunction with my Boss EQ pedal so the sound is crisper with the gate … you do lose some "feel" and higher notes may get cut off a bit too early but improved live performances for sure. So 4starz in my book - if i had a chance to test before purchase i probably wouldn't invest in it … but more than adequate for many playing styles!
