This is an honest review. Overall this guitar is completely average. It has some great highs and some considerable lows.

Pros:
Sounds amazing with EMGs
Neck profile feels great
Paint finish is flawless
Balance and weight very comfortable
Block inlays are superior

Cons:
Poor fit and finish
Low quality hardware and tuners
Very poor fretwork with very sharp fret ends
Lower quality maple neck and neck finish
Low quality bridge and saddles
Poor setup out of the box
Brass nut had sharp edges and burrs

Overall, this is your standard made in Indonesia quality instrument with a high class paint job and high quality pickups. This bass should literally be priced about half of what it's selling for. Don't believe the hype. Trust your instincts. For the same money you can buy a USA Fender or very high end Japanese or MIM basses that offers much better quality and value. I was really on the fence about returning this, but decided to keep it and perform a very extensive setup to include filing the nut and frets. Overall, at this price point the bass should be premium, it is not. If you buy it, just plan to invest some cash into a setup before it's gigable. It's not bad, it's just not worth the asking price.

I'M NOT GOING TO LIE TO YOU, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A PURPLE GUITAR. SO I DID SOME RESEARCH AND PULLED THE TRIGGER ON THIS ONE AND MAN I'M GLAD THAT I DID. I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED IT WOULDN'T BE VERSATILE BUT THOSE FEELINGS HAVE BEEN PUT TO REST. I'VE BEEN PLAYING THIS BASS FOR 2 WEEKS NOW AND I CAN GO FROM CALM TO AGGRESSIVE AS I PLEASE. THE VOLUME/VOLUME/TONE KNOBS WORK GREAT TOGETHER. SO LET'S TALK ABOUT THE BUILD QUALITY, IT'S TOP NOTCH. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS GUITAR. THE PAINT IS PERFECT THE SETUP IS SPOT-ON AND THE FEEL OF THIS GUITAR IS HOME TO ME, NO NECK DIVE. WHILE I'M TALKING ABOUT THE NECK IT'S ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER PLAYED. IT'S SILKY SMOOTH, FAST, SLIM BUT NOT TO SLIM. THE FRETBOARD HAS A 15.75" FLAT RADIUS AND IS EASY TO GET USED TO. LOVE THE PURPLE BLOCK INLAYS AND THE BLACK BINDING ON THE NECK IS WELL DONE. I'M SURE I FORGOT SOMETHING BUT I'LL END WITH THE PICKUPS. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND DEAD QUIET. LOVE THIS BASS!!!
