These Do Seem To Accomplish What D'Addario Claims On My Guitar
Tried these on my Martin Rosewood/Adi dread. I'd previously found PB's somewhat dark/lacking clarity in the mids and while 80/20's provided clarity, they also imparted a distinctly "brassy" timbre that over time, I grew to increasingly dislike. The Nickel Bronze strings are very well balanced in terms of bass/treble and offer the clarity I've been seeking without any overtly metallic overtones. I've only had them on the guitar for about a week (I generally play about 3 hours a day) so I can't comment on longevity but there are positive comments by online reviewers regarding this aspect. They are expensive but the sound works for my guitar, so I'll most likely continue buying them.
