Solidbody Electric Guitar with Alder Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, and 2 Single-coil Pickups - Aquatone Blue

Fender’s Player II Mustang represents a modernized reimagining of the brand’s short-scale alternative icon, elevating the alternative style and sound of the original with enhanced performance and playability. It all starts with a slim slab body comprised of alder and a 6-saddle hardtail bridge that forgoes the tremolo unit of the original for a more stable and secure feel. Two angled Player series Alnico V single-coil Mustang pickups grant you the chiming highs, firm bass, and snappy short-scale pop that have made the Mustang a standard-issue 6-string among grunge, alternative, and indie-rock guitarists for decades. Hop on over to the opposite end to be rewarded with a fast-playing Modern “C” neck profile, a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, and medium-jumbo frets — a formidable fretboard formula that’s sure to please players of all stripes with slick bends and effortless chording. Wrap it all up with Fender ClassicGear tuners and an array of all-new colors unearthed from the Fender archives, and the Fender Player II Mustang is a stage-ready short-scale that’s sure to make a splash!

Oh Yea!!

By Mike D. from Rockwall, TX

Love the look, and color. I bought this to recreate a '66 I used to own. Played great out of the box. Changed pickups to SD stacks, new pots, and locking tuners. it's now my go to. Thanks to my sales professional, Toni. She did a lot from the initial order, through the transformation.

This is the Fender Mustang I’ve been waiting for!

By Lloyd R. from Colver, PA

I've always loved the Mustang body shape, but never cared for the pickup selectors and out of phase options on other models. I'm not a tremolo user either. This guitar has all the aspects I want in a Mustang and none of the bells and whistles that I don't. It's just a simple hard tail rock machine that plays and feels great. It looks and feels like a much higher end instrument. I liked my Aquatone blue Mustang so much that I also bought the Hialaya yellow one. It stays in tune very well. I used it at its first gig just last weekend with great results . If you're thinking about getting one, do it now!

Buy it while you can

By James T. from Cortland, NY
Music Background: Just love to play

I have had this guitar for 3 days. I can't put it down. It's absolutely beautiful finish wise, rolled fretboard is perfect. Frets are dressed very well. Sounds great. It's flawless in every aspect. I'm not a professional player but it plays equally as good as my Ultra Strat, my pro 2 Strat and Tele and my 51 Tele. For $ this is a steal.

sounds great

By Michael D. from Rockwall, TX
Music Background: retired and still jamming'

Right out of the box, it sounds great. I had planned to have it set-up by my local luthier. NO NEED. It plays good, action is good, and it's beautiful to boot. Another great buy from Sweetwater. Toni (my personal salesperson) came through again.
