So far so good. Quick bluetooth pairing.

By Randy C. from LONG BEACH, CA

Building a mini studio in my living room with a ProRak LS840 desk, Tascam DP-32SD recorder/mixer and iPad directly hooked up to JBL 305P monitors. When both the Tascam and iPad are on the overall volume of the JBLs is lower. I figured sending both to a mixer first would solve the problem, and I needed to fill up some of the rack spaces of the LS840 anyways. After looking over rackmount mixers, I was immediately attracted to the bluetooth feature of the Alesis, which would allow me to connect my iPhone (which doesn't have a jack) and provide more freedom to move about in the living room/studio as well as eliminate a lot of ugly exposed wiring. After waiting a few weeks for the backorder the mixer arrived and I hooked it up unmounted to see if it would work before committing it to the rack. I turned on my iPhone and the mixer and went to BT settings and right away the mixer showed up on the bluetooth list. I clicked pair and it took less than 30 seconds to connect. Music streamed wonderfully thru the speakers and I was able to practice playing my bass with total freedom. I mounted the mixer in the rack and hooked up the Tascam and iPad (although I realized I no longer need to have the iPad hooked up anymore since I have the iPhone connected with BT) to the other two stereo channels and everything works like it should. Great!

My only criticism is that the knobs and sliders are a bit loosey goosey and piggly wiggly. I know its a bit OCD, but after having rock solid knobbery on my Mesa TT-800 and Quilter BB-800 amps the loose knobs on the Alesis make it feel cheap. But then again, the MultiMix10 is priced competitively and the bluetooth is great.

Absolutely Home Studio Perfect!

By Padre M. from Virginia
Music Background: 46 years of Guitar, Keyboards, Sax, Flute, and vocals

Got this recently from SW and it is PERFECT for home recording! I have several Keyboards and this allows me to have them all connected and mixed ready to go into my UA Apollo in stereo. This is great to not have to switch cables every time I change instruments. The Bluetooth channel is perfect for playback from my Mac Pro after recording in Logic. I use the two front access of channels 1-2 for guitar input from my UA OX for quick changes in amps/guitars. At a GREAT price! VERY PLEASED!

Solid little mixer

By Rich M. from In Space
Music Background: Rock Ninja

It's quiet, and operates smoothly. Tucked in the rack, it only eats up 3 spaces. The fader for stereo channels #9/10 control the "EXT Input" level as well as the Bluetooth.(nice) The meters are quite accurate.

I use it solely as a monitor matrix, for guitar, bass, keys, and an electonic drum kit. A feed from the DAW, and (since I'm not using FXin it), I use the Aux-return as another stereo input for a laptop. Vocals are done with outboard pres, so I can't speak about how good the preamps are in it. Main Outs, and Monitor Outs feed different sets of studio monitors, while the two sends feed three(2x linked) 15" 2-ways. Does exactly what I need it to. The only thing I wish it did have was have more sends, instead of the eq which I have no real use for.

Alesis Multimix 10 Review

By Deadmonstarr from CA USA
Music Background: All-around musical bad***

A good solid rack-mounted mixer overall, but here are some drawbacks:

1) Bluetooth channels 9/10 don't have jacks to be used by any other means other than Bluetooth. My HP Envy 14 Beats Edition Laptop with Bluetooth cannot be recognized even though it is Bluetooth compatible. My HTC Evo Android phone has no problem, but this is useless to me for any serious application. That means I've only got 8 channels that are useful to me.

2) Only one stereo 1/4" TRS output. No XLR, No RCA, just one output

Other than that, it's a solid unit with really clean sound and a sturdy casing
