Love this Guitar...
Unique and very satisfying guitar
This is a really nice practice guitar. (It may also be a good performing guitar but since I no longer perform, you'll have to read another's review about that.) Works for both classical and steel-string styles but the low string tension and wide nut makes it particularly good for fingerstyle and blues. A classical player will find the neck to be uncomfortably long at first but you'll adapt over time, and the low-volume body is very comfortable. It is quiet but not super-quiet unplugged--there's definitely enough volume to hear the natural notes of the guitar (not at all like playing a Tele unplugged). If a door is closed between you and someone, they won't hear you playing fingerstyle, but someone in the same room can hear it loud and clear.

I play mainly fingerstyle and Classical, but like to rock out with the urge to merge sometimes.
The Godin — plus a couple of FX pedals and my Fishman Loud, I can do it all. I keep a little VOX modeling amp in the closet, too.

This acoustic guitar is just amazing!!
I always record my songs using different channels for getting the acoustic and electric versions and of course the acoustic recording is always much better in everything I did using my other guitars. However for my surprise the electric version of Godin's recording is just amazing and better than all the other acoustic ones I did before in other acoustic guitars. I am very glad with this instrument!!

This is a great guitar. First, it is well constructed with outstanding tone woods. It has a neck that is more like a classical guitar than an electric guitar. It has superb electronics. It sounds awesome through the acoustic amp that I use. I play classical guitar and use it mostly for weddings. I have had many compliments from people who say the sound is not overbearing. I have played other brands such as Cordoba at this price level, and in my humble opinion, this is the best guitar for the money.

Love this Guitar. Feels great and the sound is much richer then the video. I thought it came with the fisher electronics, but still sounds great. Sweetwater was great as always. Had it on a truck three hours after I ordered it. What can I say Love Sweetwater.
Godin MultiAc Encore
I was looking for a Gibson Chet Atkins CE model, especially for the electronics and body style. This is as close as I could fine. Body style is not as full as the CE styles, this resembles a Fender Telecaster size guitar.
The electronics on this model is really good. You can achieve a lot of variations of sound from the selection faders. I would think anyone would be satisfied with Godin's choice's for this guitar, it did me, and I'm a jerry reed/chet atkins type of guitarist....wanna be !
The only thing I changed, was the front guitar button your strap attaches to. I moved it to the area where the neck bolts onto the body underneath the guitar. This brings the guitar a little further forward, and doesn't crowd your neck with the strap.
It's well built, has it's own sound, and sounds very good on my Jazz 40. All from good 'ole sweetwater

the guitar is very good and well constructed. how ever mine doesn't have the Spanish classical sound, to me sound s like an empty can with strings. it's much lighter than my regular classical guitar and I like that and easer to manage. i'm going to keep it along with my other collection. the nylon strings make it very confortable to play, just doesn't have the Spanish classical sound that I thought.

I've been playing guitar professionally for over 40 years. I love the feel and responsiveness of this guitar. The REALLY big problem is the 60 cycle hum. I've tried just about every way to eliminate it. The email response from Godin was that - no, these guitars are not grounded....???!!!

I love the look, the feeling I have with the neck and the balance between treble and bass strings . It is a real pleasure to play it ... but at my opinion this guitar could be even better with a tuner, a led that tells you when you need to change the battery . The knobs to adjust volume etc. hurt your hand, the treble strings in many occasions slips off the neck when you play it and you have to keep that in mind when you play ... and for me the weakest point : treble strings sound more like a banjo than a classical guitar ... but it is OK I record with it and when I play on stage I am the only one that notices the banjo sound
Sounds like plastic
Godin is a very hit-or-miss guitar company in my opinion. Some of their guitars I've played are just wonderful, but the Multiac... WHY OH WHY? I suppose the best thing about it is the MIDI capabilities, but if you're looking for something that sounds like a real classical guitar, you're not going to find it here. So glad I was able to sell this thing for most of what I paid for it.
Godin Nylon String MultiAc
I just received this guitar after ordering it online a few days ago. Out of the box....it seemed like a decent guitar. I tuned it up and played it for a few minutes. It felt comfortable....the neck was a decent width for a nylon string guitar. It sounded ok acoustically(although it is not an acoustic guitar per se). So I plugged it in(it's designed to be played amplified)....and boy....what a huge disappointment. No matter how I adjusted the faders....it sounded like a cheap plastic toy. One of the other reviewers said..."it sounds like an empty can with strings on it". He was right. And what a shame. At this price point....if this guitar sounded like a real nylon string guitar....it would be a steal. But unfortunately....nowadays....at this price point....you will probably not see a good sounding, quality made guitar. And that's too bad! But to sum it up....if you're looking for a good sounding nylon string guitar for recording or live performance....look elsewhere. And expect to pay quite a bit more for the real thing. Nice try Godin....but no cigar....:~(
