The Montecito Tenor Acoustic-electric Ukulele from Fender is a well-balanced instrument inspired by the luxurious SoCal vibes of Montecito Beach. Countless celebrities call Montecito home, and it’s a name that perfectly encapsulates the Fender Montecito's premium hardware and sonorous acacia wood body. Acacia wood is exceptionally responsive; it ebbs and flows with an expressive dynamic response lets the music shine. In terms of playability, the Montecito’s comfortable tenor profile is great match for acacia. The tenor is a slight step up from smaller soprano and concert sizes, so it speaks with a slightly bigger voice and enhanced bass that make the most of this premium tonewood. A 19-fret walnut fingerboard offers slightly wider string spacing which makes the Montecito a good choice for fingerpicking, strumming, or artists with bigger hands and fingers. Plus, its neck is built from sturdy resonant nato wood, with a modern “C” profile for easy fretting in any position.

Rich sound
I own many ukuleles and when I heard the sound of the Fender Montecito, I wanted to buy it immediately, it is nice and loud even before you plug it in. I love the classic Fender headstock and overall the looks and feel are incredible. The built in tuner and preamp work easily and have nice clarity. The only thing I did differently was I bought a Kala hard case. It comes with a gig bag with a Fender logo, but I wanted more protection. Once again the sound of this ukulele is most beautiful and I added a Low G string for even more richness. Fender builds a great ukulele.
