studio Monior Stands
Good product. Strong and sturdy support for my studio monitors. Comes with Allen wrench for quick and easy assembly. And fast delivery. I received mine the next day. Unbelievable! Highly recommend these stands.
Nice stands
Easy to assemble. Well made stands
They are nice but a little too small for my Yamaha hs8’s
The stands are nice. They may work with smaller less heavier monitors.
I got these as part of a bundle for the hs8's and they aren't big enough to support it without worrying about them topping over…too top heavy. Wobbles with the air from my fan alone. I used carpet spikes and leveled with a leveler. Odd choice for that bundle but what can you do?
Bought these in a bundle to hold up some Adam audio T7V's.
Great stands that are very sturdy. Footpads can be swapped for carpet friendly spikes, though I kept them stock for my hardwood. The T7V's fit well on the pads and don't look small on them. The stands can easily support a heavier, larger speaker. Easy assembly, good packaging.
Great speaker stands!
These stands are solidly built, very adjustable and They hold my preSonus Eres five speakers beautifully. They are rock solid as I work with them. The only negative would be they are not made to tilt your speakers forward at all. They can only sit flat. That was a bit of a disappointment at first but it may be that perfectly flat speakers are the best position anyway. I still have a lot to learn in that area but I am very happy with these stands!
Monitor Stands
Very sturdy. Well built, should last forever. Holds my Adam T8V's nicely. I'm sure they would work with a 10 inch monitor as well. They could be packed better for shipping. Not damaged, but parts had shifted in shipment and box had been re-taped
Quality and stability
This is the first on-stage product in a long time. The guitar stands I've purchased in the past have served me well and these stands are easy to set up, they swivel nicely and are very stable. Highly recommend! Thank you Nate for another great recommendation!
Great
Used these before in another studio and never had a problem. Small footprint!
Sturdy and good quality. Only knock was the pre-fabbed hole wasn't fully drilled out on one stand.
Great value for the money. Only complaint is that one of the stands didn't have the pre-drilled hole in it so I had to improvise.
Monitor stands
Very good product
Perfect Stands!
I am very glad I bought these stands. I am currently working out of my wife's office and these stands work great with my new studio monitors. They are well built and sturdy but small enough that I can easily stow them away in the closet once I am done working. Using the adjustable height, I was able to get my studio monitors right at ear level. Highly recommend!
Great product but can defective
Solid stands. They do everything I need them to do. Very sturdy/stable and super easy to put together. However, the piece that holds the pin was broken on one of my stands right out of the box. Not a huge deal as I just connected the pin to the adjustment knob, but still broken and a little disappointing nonetheless. I'm sure sweetwater would send me another one if I filed a complaint, but seems more trouble than it's worth. They still work perfectly fine.
Simple product for a simple need.
I bought the most inexpensive option. My studio is for work, not for show. These work.
simple and good
my budget for monitor stands is low. I just needed something solid, adjustable, and stable. these stands were perfect for my needs and also very easy to assemble. i use them for my Focal Alpha 50s, which are on the heavier side. no stability problems at all.
Perfect Speaker Stands
Purchased these for the rear speakers of a home entertainment system. Very well built, balanced and stable at any height. I highly recommended these speaker stands for any speaker application.
well made good price
solid and functional. I use on stage with my key setup to put KRK Rockit to put stereo monitors in front of me
Impressed for the price but could benefit from some improvement
They are a great set of stands. Very sturdy. The only complaints I have is that one of the threads when assembling the stand seemed like it wasn't cut right and the screw went in pretty tight. Everything did assemble properly and quickly though. The second criticism I have is that, for my studio, it would have been nice if the stand adjusted down lower. Like, 3-4" or more lower. I was able to use isolators to tilt the speakers to get proper listener alignment with the tweeters but it would have been better to just lower the stand. Overall though, I'm satisfied with the result and would recommend them. Just be cautious and take measurements for height, especially if you have large speakers.
Great for 5" studio monitors
I received these as part of a black Friday deal, to combine them with a pair of 5" Focal studio monitors.
The stands came well packaged and were easy enough to assemble with minimal parts to put together.
The base is fairly large to ensure minimal issues maintaining balance, and I've had no issues (so far) with the stands integrity in supporting relatively heavy speakers.
In short, work as advertised and I feel confident that they will last for a reasonable amount of time.
Stands
Solid stands. Solid construction. Feel my monitors are safe in them. Wish they were able to go a little lower but I found a way to make them work in my space.
Too High For Seated Monitoring
buy them
i had other sets but these are it.
These are great!
I love these stands.. they look great and are very well made.
Great Stands
I bought these stands with a package deal that consisted of the Rokit 5s and they are great. I currently have them set up in my bedroom on carpet and they are extremely sturdy. Great build quality and easy to assemble!
Just what I needed
These stands are perfect for placing the Klipsch speakers I purchased for my new record player. Easy to put together which is good because there are no instructions. No idea what some of the parts are for and wasn't obvious where to put them so hopefully they don't come crashing down. I love the triangle base - helps fit them under furniture.
Works great
I bought this second hand but it's great. At first my monitors felt wonky and I thought that the washer that was on mine was put there on purpose by Proline but it wasn't. That's what lead me here, looking for pictures of the way it's supposed to be. I read that people purchase the washer in order to hold heavier monitors sturdy. So, what I did was place the washer underneath the shelf to keep it sturdy and fit my monitors on top. It worked, so I would suggest trying it if you're having to use excess padding, etc to keep the monitors flush with the surface.
A Little Clunky and Wobbly, But...
As the title suggests, these are a little wobbly when they are set up. I am currently using these as stands for KRK Monitors and they do the trick just fine, but they definitely wobble around if they are touched, even with the leveling feet adjusted properly. Might just be my floor though, so don't quote me on anything.
Buy something else !
Ordered a set of these, the clips near the adjustment knobs were broken on both stands. Arrived in tore up box.
Sturdy Stands
I am very happy with these stands. They are very sturdy and I have no concerns on the wellbeing of my monitors. I feel comfortable recommending these to my friends.
Good quality
Easy assembly had no fitment issues
Perfect for small monitors
Good value
Simple /Rock Solid Stands
Easy to put together, heavy duty, very stable. Look and work great!
They Do What They Do
These things are of great build quality, and well... they hold your speakers. That's what they do. No idea why there are similar products being sold that are 150-250 each. Get these. 0 complaints.
Welds break so easy
Have you ever put together one of those superduper cheap metal desks or bed frames from China? Where the screws inevitably cross thread because they are so cheaply made? Well this is that.
The threads inside had welding spatter all in them, so some of the screws wouldn't thread until I picked those all out. The one thread that was clean, yeah the screw cross threaded, by hand, because they're misshapen and barely fit the screw.
After finally getting it solid and ready to go, I cleaned my space out for these, set the speaker on top, and bam… the welds snap holding the shelf on top and the speaker took a tumble.
These should be removed from sweetwater and only sold for $40 for the pair.
Save your money.
Work Great - Stable -Easy to Assemble
In under 20 minutes, I had both stands assembled and properly positioned for the monitors. They are very stable.
Versatile, sturdy, and well-designed
Very useful in home studio. These monitor stands put your speakers exactly where you want them and stay put. Very unlikely to tip, they also have safety pins for added security. The surface is padded so isolators aren't needed. And you don't have to put your monitors on your desk, which steals room and inevitably is going to put them too close together.
These stands give the options I need using the Auratone monitors
I bought these stands to go with the Auratone monitors I bought at the same time. The purpose of both the stands and monitors is to hear (in a near-field manner) tracks from any point in my studio away from the console -- either for me or for other musicians.
These stands are easy to move, but very sturdy, and the Auratones fit with enough room to spare on top of the platforms. The height adjustability will be something I don't use often but I'm glad to have that feature.
Stand
I bought these stands as part of a package. When I got them they came packaged great. They are easy to assemble. One problem I had was the very last pin foot I was putting on ( its always the last peice ) wouldnt screw in. There was a blob of weld on the threads. I needed the pin because they are on a rug. I let Zach know about it and he got ahold of Stephanie and in the next 24 hours I had 2 not 1 new stands. All the way from Fort Wayne Ind. To NJ over night. Stephanie told me to keep the other ones as parts, they are great. Zach and Stephanie went above and beyond, they are awesome! Oh by the way the stands are great. Cant go wrong with sweetwater.
Perfect near field speaker stands
I had been looking to raising my near field speakers to the proper height for a long time.
I finally found them at Sweetwater.
Solid build, adjustable height (very important!) cool looking and made in the USA.
It is amazing how much more you hear when your speakers are at the right height!
Waste of money at any price!
The cheap spot weld on the threaded insert to screw the tube to the base failed sending one of my monitors crashing to the ground. Shoddy engineering. Spend more money on something better or build your own.
Great Stands!
I got these to support my PreSonus Sceptre S8 monitors and they are great. Easy to adjust, really sturdy, and on carpet no less! Can't say enough about them.
Great monitor stands
These stands are great space savers, good quality, easy to setup too, nice adjustable heights as well!
Great Purchase
For years I have had my Studio Monitors on either side of my Computer screen right on my Desktop. Finally took a leap of faith and bought these monitor stands. Finallly, some elbow room on the desk top, Love em! Solid construction and perfect fit.
Screw on bottom longer than rubber pads, unstable and scratch floor
Screw in the middle on bottom is longer than the rubber pads to hold it on hard floor....
Can't go wrong
I love being able to quickly adjust the height on the fly. Speakers sound best at ear level. I play through a Helix hooked up to studio monitors. I normally play standing and am 6' tall and can adjust these to ear level. When I'm sitting listening to a mix or recordings, I lower them. Glad I bought these for sure. Also, my desk is small, so I needed stands and enjoy the isolation these provide and being able to properly place the speakers for best results. These are solid. Great quality.
Monitor stands rock
These monitor stands are perfect - easily adjustable, very sturdy, even on a floor that is not solid. The one thing I feel could be improved is the levelers - these should be longer.
It'll Stand by you.
Stands, they do what they're supposed to. Haven't had a chance to really drive my monitors to see what kind of damage they can handle but overall they seem solid and I'd feel comfortable leaving $300 dollar monitors on them.
Wobbly
Barely even used these and they're already wobbly. Tried tightening everything down but it's just built poorly.
As expected
Great sturdy stand. The base was a bit large for my use but it was an easy fix. I like the included pieces for use on a rug
Well thought out and easy to assemble and adjust
Effective and useful
I am very much a hobbyist; not a professional. I'm using these stands with some JBL studio monitors to annoy my roommate with various digital audios. I wanted the monitors off of my desk to afford more space for office clutter and these were well priced to accommodate that goal. They were very easy to put together and seem sturdy. I haven't really thought about them since assembly and set up, which is probably a good thing.
There is not a built in way to physically attach the speaker/monitor to the stand. This is not a problem for me as I have neither children nor dog nor cat present in my home to apply random lateral forces to objects that I own. This may, however, be something to consider for yourself.
Just what i needed
Good weight and material finish.
The minimum height is too tall for optimal placement. Measure before buying!
This is a solidly built product, generally worth the money. Except that for some reason, the minimum adjustable height is too high for my monitors. Monitors should be placed so the tweeters are level with your ears, and at their shortest, these put the tweeters a good 8" too high. Granted, these are large monitors (ADAM Audio 8" T Series) but an adjustable stand should allow for that... and I don't know why these should have to go any taller than their minimum height.
So, be sure to check on the dimensions and plan accordingly. If these will work for you, they are well built. But the design is distinctly flawed in this regard, and I found them unacceptable as a result.
GET THESE. PERIOD
These are SUPER solid. good design! and don't move! I put my speakers on them for the first time last night and I can't believe how simply elevating them on these makes such a big difference. no complaints, I love these!
Great stands, good price
These are great stands at a reasonable price. Makes all the difference having the monitors right where you want them.
Great stands!
Great stands! Maybe a little pricey but worth it.
On stage studio monitor stands
Very durable and easily adjustable. Perfectly designed to fit my jbl monitors and the padding holds them securely in space. Will definitely buy more in the future
Good stands
The stands are sturdy, adjust and move easily, and are stable enough if positioned correctly. I use angled iso pads under the monitors which pitch the weight slightly forward. The cleats work well on thick pile carpets.
Great overall
Everything is great. My only issue was after assembly one of the upright pieces was not straight. Just bent it a little, then back to making hits haha
Great stands for the price, but the instructions could be easier.
Great stands, got them as a bundle with the 305p mk 2 Pair. Took me about 20 mins to put em together, could probably done it in 5 mins if the instructions were labeled better. Comes with alternate feet for carpet/misc flooring
Great stands!
I purchased these to hold Kali Audio LP8 monitors and they are perfect!
Amazing
Amazing speaker stands perfect fit for my Kali LP-6's. Only issue I had was one of the screw holes was too small for the screw it needed by thanks to my dad and his tools that wasn't an issues.
SMS6000 P studio Monitor Stands
These stands are easy to assemble and very well built. I have no complaints. Perfect fit for my Paradigm Mini Monitor bookshelf speakers.
Good for the price
These are easy to set up, cheap as all get out, and could survive a nuclear blast. They'll show up with minor scuffs, rough edges, and subpar aesthetics, but they are highly functional and utilitarian. I never think about them, and that's how I like it.
Perfect
I wanted to get speaker stands that clamped to my desk but could not find any that fit mine. I bought these instead and they are perfect. Easy assembly, sturdy and very adjustable.
Great
These are solid gear and great for my control room not taking up much space but good for placement on where I need my monitors and freeing up desk space for me. Thank you sweetwater!
Sturdy
These stands are sturdy and easy to assemble.
What a relief!
I have limited real estate on my desk. I needed a second display monitor and there was no way to fit them. I didn't want to build shelves for my reference monitors and was thrilled find these well prices stands. They were easy to assemble and a perfect solution.
They work -- but the bottom is terribly designed.
These stands successfully hold up monitors, which is what they are designed for. However, the bottom of the stands are sharp metal triangles at the perfect height for baby-toe scalping.
A few moments ago, I jammed my poor baby toe into one of my stands -- it literally tore skin off. As I sat on the ground, clutching the remains of my little beaut, a vision of a stand-free set up came to me like a gift from God.
So I'm tossing these bad bois and building a big desk to put the stands on. Hopefully my toe recovers, but beware, potential buyers.
Monitor stands
These stands are nice and sturdy for what I need them for perfect for my room.
Excellent product
These are sturdy and well made. There's a solid clutch for continuous adjustment, along with a series of holes and a pin to lock at various heights. Easy to assemble, but be careful not to cross-thread the bolts like me! (Fortunately, a little filing straightened things out.)
The only improvement I could think of would be an ability to tilt the top plate, and maybe a lip on the front of the plate. But that can be easily accomplished with a foam wedge.
Well worth the price.
Serves the purpose
Great price and functionally adequate. Not an art piece, but they get the job done.
Great Value Stands - with a slight modification
The first monitors I had on these stands were the JBL 305's and so weight/stabiltiy was not an issue. This year, however, I upgraded to the Presonus E66's - which at 23 pounds each caused them to lean slightly. To correct the issue, I placed a single 3/8" X 1.5" washer under the original washer (see photo). At the local Ace Hardware, they called this a "Thick Fender Washer", PN 45840-J at $.85 each. It made a wonderful improvement in the straightness and stability for minimal investment. I'm very pleased with these stands now!
Great monitor stands!
Great value for money. Very sturdy and stable. Easy to adjust. Also quick and easy to set up. I would recommend these monitor stands to anyone!
Best budget stands!
Excellent and speedy service as always from Sweetwater! These are really good monitor stands for the price! I would definitely recommend these stands to anyone on a budget!!!
Great for the price
They were the perfect size for my KRK 5inch monitors. I love the adjustable pegs that came with them, so uneven surfaces will never be a problem. Also they are easy to assemble and tear down when in a hurry. I did notice however a clanking of metal on metal coming from within the shaft where the inner adjustable rod meets the inside of the outer rod. This only occurs when the whole unit is being rocked back and forth. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. Other than that, I was not disappointed in my purchase.
Great stands for the money
I've got a lot of On-Stage equipment - and it all performs admirably. These monitor stands are well-constructed and do the job nicely. I have no doubt they'll last forever. You can pay $500 or more for a fancy set of stands, but these are a good value and get the job done.
Excellent stands for corners
With the triangular bases these stands work perfectly in wedged areas between two desks or tables where you have your Keyboard and computer. Sturdy, easy to assemble. Adjustable height pole has safety pin for added security.
Problem resolved
I received email from support to replace a slightly defective part and they are shipping it to me.
I had rated Sweetwater 3 stars -> upgrading to 5.
They have been great to me, and specially my rep, CJ.
Thanks,
Mark
Monitors and stands.
The monitor stands seem like a nice sturdy design but your factory forgot to thread the hold on the bottom of one of the poles. I called and spoke to my rep who said somebody would call me but I haven't been called yet. It's only been a day so far. I have faith.
Good stands for the pricepoint
These do their job well. The construction is sound but not real clean.
Small piece broke off during shipping
They're good stands, overall. The stands have a small plastic part to hold the plug when at the lowest setting so you're not using it, but it arrived broken. The stands were partially wrapped in cardboard, but the cardboard wasn't covering that part of the stand, so I guess they hit something in shipping that caused it to break. The other stand arrived perfectly, however, and it's not that big of a deal. I don't mind letting the plugs hang loose, but I thought people should be award of this.
Exactly what my monitors needed
Overall quality and build was good. It was easy to assemble and set up. These are holding my Kali Audio LP6's on hardwood floors. I have the monitors on isolation foam on top of the stand platforms. No instability or unwanted vibration from the stands.
The improvements to the soundstage were dramatically improved. I have no regrets whatsoever buying these.
monitors stands
The stands with being adjustable I got my monitors setup right where I want them very happy them.
OnStage Rocks
Great solid near field monitor stands.
Great value
Far and away the sturdiest speaker stands I have ever used. I have seen a couple of comments about how they could topple if bumped into hard enough, but unless speaker stand bases are either bolted to the floor or extremely large and heavily weighted, that is unavoidable. Height range is great, large platforms for the speakers, and (almost) all components are what I would call industrial grade. I dinged them half a star because the cable management system could be improved. The two little plastic clips that come with each stand are not up to the standards set by the rest of the stand components.
No complaints
I've been using these for my mackie monitors, works great. I bought them on sale. They are sturdy, adjust easy, and you can put the monitors in the sweet spot pretty easy.
Stand up Deal!
Easy to install and work exactly as expected. Thanks to the suggestions based on my needs and budget. They never steer me wrong.
Check out how they compliment my small home studio.
And the adjustable height is perfect for isolating and hearing the sound.
Does just what you’d need it to
This is a robust stand, very sturdy and gets quite tall. I love the triangular base, provides great support especially with the carpet spikes provided.
If I had to harp on one thing I wish that that the stand had more cable management options. Two small clips are provided to pin cables to the stand but they really only clip one cable per clip.
Overall great stand and I'd highly recommend it!
Great stands!
It's a well built stand which definitely does its purpose. Sweetwater was great as always in terms of shipping and customer service.
Work great for my small monitors at low height
Assembly was easy. No issues regarding quality of manufacture.
I have small 6.5" self powered monitors, at desk height, the lowest height setting on these stands. Just given the single post design they're bound to sway a tiny bit if poked or nudged. That's just the design. That won't be a significant problem for me, but if it is for you I'd probably reconsider raising the stand to its highest position. I'd be concerned about tipping, but maybe the manufacturer has considered that.
I like the base design. A tripod base is difficult to snug up to a desk or other furniture but these bases make it very easy to move things around and position.
Reasonably Priced, Exactly What I Needed
These things are solid and stable - fully supporting my KRK Rokit 7 G4 monitors. I have hard flooring everywhere so had no need for the carpet spikes, but it seems like they would be very useful if needed.
Good quality, but take up a bit of room
These are fantastic stands for the most part. The assembly took maybe about 10 minutes for the pair, they stay in place, and plenty of room on the stands for larger monitors. The one and only potential downside to these, is the base on each stand is a wide triangular shape. As of right now, this isn't an issue for me, but this could pose an obstruction to some home setups, so do be aware of allowing room for a wider base with these.
On-Stage Monitor Stands
I’m using the SMS6000-P stands with my new JBL LSR305s. They are sturdy, stable and adjust to the right height for my home studio. Great price for the pair, but I got them on sale making the value even greater.
Super Awesome
simple to use and works great!
SAVE YOURSELF 2 pairs have broken and my monitors crashed to the ground
I have owned 2 different sets of these because they’re cheap and highly suggested but I have had them snap at the base twice now. The first time my main monitors where on them and it broke one of the corners on it. The second time I could stand the risk of my mains being on them again so I put my small Rokit 5s on them and still yet again one side snapped at the base sending my monitor crashing to the ground. I guess spend the extra $ for a decent pair to save hundreds of dollars in damage due to poor construction.
Work well
I purchased a pair of these last month. They were easy to assemble. The stands came with small carpet spikes that keep the stands from moving. Height adjustments are easy to make. The padding on the top of the stand seems to stop rattles and unwanted noises.
Sways a lot, not for heavy monitors
These monitor stands are not particularly sturdy and sway a lot, especially on carpet. I wouldn't use these with heavy monitors.
Solid Monitor Stands
I use them for my JBL 8 inch monitors and they are perfect.
Great buy!!!
High quality stands and great service from sweetwater
Monitor stands
Solid all around; great price too
Review For Stands
These are terrific ! They do exactly what they should and the base doesn't get in the way of things in my home studio ! Very good investment !
Doin' what they should!
Good stands!---Put them in corners with speakers on them, they are solid as rocks!
These monitor stands work great
I just started building a small home setup and these stands have delivered. I'd read in other reviews that they weren't very stable and was a bit afraid of buying them, but after having tried them I can assure you that they work perfectly.
They also don't take too much space and look fantastic!
Great
These are far more heavy and stable than I expected, and the triangle bases -- coupled with the ability to raise/lower/twist the poles in the tiniest of increments -- allows for a lot of flexibility in how you position the speakers you put on these.
Rocking stands!
I love these stands, they are easy to set up (took me 5 min) and they look great with my set up. The Sweetwater team was also great following up on my order. Highly recommended these!
On Stage SMS6000-P Studio Monitior Stands & HS8's
I am writing this for those of you who have HS8's. The stands are definitely worth the money. They are built well and as advertised. The HS8's are big and a little wobbly on these stands but they work. Being able to reposition my monitors made a big improvement.. I did find that the HS8's were heavy enough to compress the 3 small rubber feet on the bottom of the monitor stands and the screw in the middle scratched my hardwood floor. I put furniture protectors on the 3 rubber feet on each stand which corrected that problem.
Works very well
I am using these monitor stands for my Neumann KH 120. Easy to put together, very stable and solid. It comes with optional pins for use on a carpeted floor, and that is what I have been using. The height, including the degree of pin protrusion on the floor, is adjustable and quite flexible. Highly recommended with the use of Studio Monitor Isolation Kit.
Works great with my JBL LSR305 Mk IIs
Sturdy, steady: my two main criteria for any good monitor stands. These are great monitor stands, and easily accommodate a pair of JBL LSR305 Mk II powered monitors. Well-designed and unobtrusive, with a good feature set, this is the answer for a small home studio set up. Cable management is a plus, as is the adjustable height (and locking feature).
Monitor Stands
Excellent, easy to assemble and use. Perfect setup for any studio! Includes glides and optional adjustable pins for use on carpet.
Bit too high
Very easy to put together and seem to hold my JBL LSR308's with no issue. Adjusting them seems to be pretty easy also. They don't tilt though.
I'm not too happy about the lowest height on these, I'm 5'8" and sitting in my chair, my monitors are a bit too high for a "proper" listening position. Not sure if maybe my chair is too low or I'm just too short. Will have to figure something out.
Perfect
Great stability and holds monitors perfectly.
Great stand
Works great and easy to setup
Excellent stands
Excellent quality and design - very well built. I Like the wide range of adjustments Great value for such a low price.
Sturdy Stands
Great stamds -=- I am very happy -- for the proce, cannot be beat.
Great stands!
I just picked up a new set of monitors and discovered my mixing desk wasn"t going to handle two pairs effectively. So I looked for the cheapest stands I could find. BAM! Sweetwater deal... Sold! Put them together in 3 minutes, placed them along side my desk, stuck the monitors on them, good to go. No reason to buy the high dollar ones when these are great. I have a small office room converted for my studio with regular carpet on the floor. These are very stable in my room.
Solid
High build quality. The nonslip material on top lets your monitors sit high without much worries. The included leveling attachment feets are useful, especially the carpet spikes. Adjusting them is a little difficult, but it's no big deal.
The only thing I could ask for is a tilt function, and a way to physically attach the monitors to the plate. At this price however, (72$ for pair at this time) it's a real value I couldn't pass up. My poor monitors haven't had a proper stand for years, and these have helped free up a lot of desk space.
out-STAND-ing!
These were perfect for my home studio: inexpensive, adjustable, and sturdy.
My only complaint would be minor: there is no way to secure the speaker . With drunk musicians, earthquakes, and tremors a reality here in Los Angeles, there is nothing included to add that wee kiss o' security. Guess I will have to buy my own velcro strips!
Otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase.
And,as always, more than satisfied with Sweetwaters prices and services.
Good stands
These are perfect for a home studio. Decent quality. I'd be a bit nervous in a stage environment without strapping the monitors to the stands.
Very flexible uses for these
I've purchased several products from On-Stage Stands in the past, and I've never been disappointed. I'm using both of these to hold a 30" TV monitor for my project studio. I wanted to have a large screen view of Cubase, and these are ideal for holding the monitor. I really like the fact that they are height-adjustable. Perhaps in the future I will wall-mount the TV and then use these as monitor speaker stands. Solid, flexible, and excellent price point.
Great NFM Stands
These stand are very stable even on carpet area with the included levelers especially for carpet. Nicely built and include lock pins.
Sold stand. Consider base shape.
I have four of these to support 8" JBL monitors. They are fine, though at times, I'd have preferred to have a stand with a rectangular base narrower than the width of the triangle base on these stands. If you have floor space, they are great.
SMS6000-P MONITOR STANDS
No need to buy those expensive stands. This is all you will need. Great Stands!
Great stands but tall
The stands are great as they do what they are supposed to; however, I guess 36" is a bit tall for my setup. I don't feel like my monitors are at the perfect listening level. I could lift my chair just a bit more, but then it will not fit under my desk which pushes the keyboard and mouse just a few more inches, causing me to slouch over. I would have personally liked a 31", but these are nice stands.
Monitor Stands
They nice and sturdy.I like them with my 8in Presonus.Heavy base triangle. The monitors sit nicely on the top plate. Its all good.If you need monitor stands,,,get um:-)
Fan of the Stands
This is my second set of stands and I will prolly get one more. Easy to assemble & work great. Perfect for my home studio monitors and I just put some in my living room for surround sound!
Stands Tall
They work great at any height. Of course, that's what I expected fromm Sweetwater!
Great build
Very sturdy, solid build. Would have like the platform for the monitors to be a bit wider. But they're still great.
What I expected
A little expensive to my taste but solid quality
Value
Great Value
Had to cut the tubes...
So, I'm a pretty short guy, 5'5" and the lowest setting on these stands were simply too tall for setting my speakers at an optimal listening level in which the tweaters should match the height of my ear holes (using Yamaha HS8s). Luckily, I'm mechanically-inclined and I hacksawed about 4 inches from the bottom of the inside tube to get the height I needed. I'm also not entirely sold on the stability overall as it's a little too wobbly for my comfort. For the time being, it does what I need it to do but I'll definitely have to upgrade to a more sturdy, and lower, stand.
i love these stand
i don't have a big space in my small studio and i need my speakers high, this on is perfect. just as it is on the picture. i definitelyrecommend it
studio monitor stands
These are OK . Hard to get level and properly balanced.
As Described
I absolutely have nothing negative to say about these pair of stands. Extremely sturdy and affordable. I highly recommend these for anyone's studio setup.
SMS6000-P Studio Monitor Stand
Very happy with the stands. They are exactly what they say they are, studio stands. I took them out for a gig and they made me a little nervous, but in my home studio they are perfect.
A little uneven
These stand are sturdy and can hold my 8" JBLs with no problem. The only issue I have with them is one of the stands is about 1" taller than the other.
Monitor stands
Perfect height for standing desk.
SMS6000-P Studio Monitor Stand (pair)
Highly recommended for studio monitor separation, placement and isolation from desk. I love these very rugged and functional stands. They were easy to assemble. Thanks Sweetwater.
Great stands at a very affordable price
I've become a big fan of On-Stage products. I'm using these with Mackie MR6 speakers and they are a perfect match. Good build quality and I especially like the lock pin for safety while also keeping the stands at the exact same height. Very stable even on carpet.
Best for the $
Way way way more solid than I expected. Top platform occasionally needs re-tightened
Awesomely sturdy stands
You really feel a sense of how massive and sturdy these stands are when you pull them out of the box and set them up. They are dense and heavy, solid metal, stable, so I rest assured that they will hold up my monitors. And that they do. They do they're job so well, and they look so good! Minimal and functional design. Love them.
God is good! its a blessing
Great (love them)
On-Stage Monitor Stands.
Studio Monitor Stands
These stands support my JBL 305 monitors (which I purchased through Sweetwater of course) without any problem or concerns at all. I personally really like that the feet on the bottom of the stands securely hold into carpeting. I finally have my monitors off of my desk, and can feel really good about having them set on these very solid stands. For $100 for the pair, how can you beat that?!
Perfect for a Standing Desk
I'm about 5'10" and have a standing desk. They work perfect with KRK V6. Light a sturdy male for easy/quick/safe adjustments. Didn't come with instructions but if you can change a flat tire, these are a 2 minute assembly (1-minute each). If you can't change a flat tire and have purchased these, then complain about and they will magically assemble themselves.... or call AAA.
Monitor stand
Love them great
great value
For the money these stands are excellent value.
Great Product
I received these pair of monitor stands quickly from Sweetwater. They are very well made and were a snap to assemble. I have had them for shot time, and they are great. I like the locking pin feature also. No complaints
Good enough
Used to support studio monitors. The do sway a little. Macki 824's are heavy. Had to trim about two inches off the inner tube to get the tweeters down to ear level. Easy hack saw task. They aren't going to fall down but if I had a large curious cat in the house, I would have second thoughts.
Monitor stands....exactly what I was looking for!
These monitor stands are for anyone needing to either save space at home for the studio or use for live shows....very easy to set up and breakdown..sturdy construction, simplicity for user..I personally use them for home recording, but I can see the application for road shows and gigs easily.
I don't think that they can support huge monitors, however if you use 5"-6" monitors at home they are great! So experiment and know that you can definitely tweak the parameters with some creativity! I found them easily on the website and knew what I was looking for from the beginning! Thanks and I hope this helps someone!
Solid "budget" stands!
Pairs perfectly with my KRK Rokit 6's. Quick assembly time with a heavy base to eliminate tipping worries. The triangle base design makes it easy for positioning between my desk and walls.
You Get what you pay for
These (like much of On-Stage Stand's products) are poorly built, poorly thought out, and pieced together by parts which seem like they were never intended to work together. The rubber feet that arrive installed cant elevate the stands more than an 8th of an inch, and the metal spikes I recieved in addition (in case you had to level your speaker stands like most people), did not fit or thread correctly into the bottom of the stands. A complete pain.
Would not suggest to anyone, nor will I purchase any more products by On Stage Stands.
perfect for my studio speakers
It is just what I wanted....
Unstable
Stands are completely unstable for holding BM15AS. Triangular base is a terrible design.
SMS6000-P studio monitor stands
Exactly as advertised: Position your studio monitors at correct height and with the carpet points anchor them to the floor.
Perfect stands
These were exactly what I needed for my small home studio space, simple to assemble and very sturdy without taking up the entire floor
Not bad, but
I bought these stands used in a package deal. The previous owner had over-tightened to bolt from the base into the tube. This caused the base to "cave in" slightly and made the stands very unstable. I think they would have been better off to add an internal sleeve or reinforce the base to prevent this from happening.
I add a fender washer to each base and this did help but I think a tripod style base would work much better.
yea yea
These stands are boss levels! Exactly what I needed to hear my speakers correctly>)
On-Stage Stands SMS6000-P Studio Monitor Stand (pair
These are very good stands I have 5 in use now.
On-Stage Stands SM S6000
We needed to add some near field monitors in a couple of 5.1 studios. With no console mount plates these stands fit snug right next to the desk and adjust to perfect height. They are at a great price point from Sweetwater and will hold a good weight. Although we had to buy them in pairs and we only need an odd number for the L-C-R front monitors.
On Stage Monitor Stands
Incredibly solid especially for the low price.
great stands for the money
good look, easy assemble
Awesome
Purchased online and received it almost instantly as described. These speaker stands are sturdy and cosmetically nice. I love sweet water and will plan on doing all my business with them!
Very useful
I have a pair of these stands in my home studio. They work great for holding monitors and more. I've also used them as temporary stands for rack-mount gear to put it at a convenient height for manipulating knobs. I've used the pair as a keyboard stand--perfect height for keys while standing. I've used one to hold my small-format mixer. If you remove the shelf, the pole is the perfect diameter for a small pole-mount speaker.
Remember this important caveat: Because of the small base and high center of gravity, these stands should only be used on a solid, level, surface. If you put them on a riser or wobbly floor, put sandbags on the base to help prevent tipping.
Does the Job
These stands hit it right on the head. Stable. Solid. Good max height with excellent variance. Stable platform that your monitors basically stick to. Easy to put together.
Cheap, but gets the job done...
Keep in mind, the rating system here has a 3 star rating as "Really Good". Since these are just average in quality, I should have given them a 2, but they offer a good design, just cheap materials.
Other than that, they work for placing your monitors on. Again, nice features. It's difficult to find quality stuff these days it seems.
Great little stands for not much..euq
I have made my own wooden stands before, bought ready made wooden, all not adjustable. These are the first adjustables I have owned and I think they are great. The speakers I have on them are the Dynaudio BM5 MkIIs at about 20lbs each, not very heavy. Also I don't tend to move them up and down a lot, they pretty much stay put. But the build and ease of adjustments has me sold. I have also bought other On-Stage equipment, a large music stand and a couple of desk mic stands and am impressed with the quality vs price. Very good.
Great Stands
We have a set of JBL monitors not Nearfield but the stands work great with the JBL's and work well in our editing room at our church!! Good heavy stands with a lot of adjustment options.
Great and Ez to setup
Not sure why you would need any other monitor stand. These are easy to setup and the price is right. Recommended!
On-Stage SMS6000-P Monitor Stands
I needed a pair of monitor stands for a new set of Tannoys and these served my purpose well. That fit well in my small project studio and being fully adjustable,I was able to position my monitors at the perfect height and in the perfect location !!
Like a rock...
I bought a pair of these to use for my secondary studio set-up and as soon as I took them out of the box, I noticed that they're very heavy-duty. I have a pair of Event ASP8 monitors on them, and those speakers aren't exactly light. At first I was afraid they might wabble back and forth when someone walks across the floor, but that hasn't happened at all. At the lowest setting, they're at the perfect height for listening in while sitting at a desk or console with these particular speakers. I like them.
great stands
the perfect combination of stability and sound construction.
Standing Tall
The On-Stage SMS6000-P Studio Monitor Stands are great! They are tough, durable, and excellent for what I need. Because of the triangular base, the fit conveniently in the small amount of space I have in the front of the studio! Sweetwater expert Matt Adams referred me to these stands . His knowledge and professional courtesy is the reason I stay with Sweetwater Sound for all my audio needs!
Power Swithes On Back of Your Monitors?
Power Swithes On Back of Your Monitors? You can leave the height know loose and use the safety pip pin. So, you can easily rotate them each time to set your controls before powering on a keyboward etc. Well packed, easy to set up. Good Base. Best price on the web too.
Work Great
Really Great product for the price.. A lot sturdier than I thought they would be actually. Only complaint is I wish they had better quality pads on the three corners on bottom.. They come with carpet spikes but mine are set up on hard floor and it only has the cheap feeling plastic stubs in there.. Not a deal breaker I believe but could be improved. I have Yamaha HS80M monitors on these which have a decent weight and I have absolutely no concern for these stands holding them. No rocking back and forth, holds firm.. adjustable height is a bonus too..
Great, but no directions
Great, sturdy stands. I don't get why they wouldn't take the ten minutes to knock out a set of directions, but otherwise, you get what you're paying for.
P-Studio On Stage Stands
These stands are great for my needs. Thanks to the staff at Sweetwater for helping me decide which pair of stands would best serve my needs!!!
On-Stage Stands SMS6000-P (pair)
I use these for my studio monitors and they're perfect for this purpose.
Great Monitor Stands
These On-Stage Monitor Stands work really well for our small studio. They're holding a pair of Mackie MR8 monitors sitting on Auralex MoPads. The stands are sturdy (even on carpet) - assembled very easily -- look great -- and it's a big plus to be able to adjust them to just the right height.
Glad I got em'
Nice set of stands that I was able to assemble in 5 mins. I immediatley noticed the difference in my mix. I was able to dial in the vocals and it translated perfectly in the car and on other systems. This was an issue i was having a lot of trouble with before. These have me right in the sweetspot. Glad I got em'. I have a set of mopads on the way too. The reason i didnt give these a 5 is because the stands can be a little wobbley depending on how heavy your speakers are. I had to build up some confidence in them at 1st, but they hold up well.
Do what they are supposed to
I've had them for a few weeks now and they are great. The adjustable height is a good option that most more expansive models don't have. They also don't take too much space and are ideal for smaller studios. The only complaint I have is that the cable clips were in a bad shape and gave up easely, but it isn't a good enough reason to decide against buying this product. They are not the most stable things out there, but if you don't plan on having a football game in the studio there is nothing to worry about! You won't regret buying this item.
On-Stage Studio Monitor Stand
For the price, these stands are very well built. I use them for my keyboard and can turn the speakers inward for an excellent sound,
Like These Stands!
About 6 months ago I began looking for a nice pair of speaker stands for my Fostex near field monitors. I bought by mistake a lousey pair of stands not from SW. That will teach me! Anyway my recording buddy had a pair of these On-Stage SMS6000-P, and these are just wwhat I needed! Perfect! Very sturdy, adjustable...I could not be happier with these niice speaker stands! Thank you, SW!
Great Stands not just for Nearfield Monitors
Stands are very strong and easy to assemble I have KRK Rockit 5 monitors that I use on the stands.
On-Stage Stands - Good Value
Good value for the money. Using with Dynaudio BM-15s, a heavy monitor.
One of the little plastic cord retainers broke off during assembly. Would be nice On-Stage sent some extras. Overall very pleased with my purchase. Dan at Sweetwater was very helpful
Solid...for the money, with a few flaws.
For the money these are hard to beat.
A few things that could be improved:
1. The cable clips come out too easily. Why not use a screw mount for them? Surely it would only cost a few bucks more.
2. The 'feet' on the bottom also come out to easily and have no height adjustment to compensate for floor unevenness. Again, screw mounts would fix that (which I did by re-tapping the hole and using some feet I found online).
3. The padding of the feet isn't enough for good isolation. Solved by putting some rubber padding on the new feet I installed.
Minor points, easily fixed, though it would be great to see these kinds of improvements in a newer version for a few bucks more...
Important for the Home Studio. (And the price is good, too!)
If you're putting together a home studio, you know there's a thousand things to buy. Thinking that they wouldn't make that much difference, I held off buying monitor stands until I had pretty much everything in place.
I was wrong.
It turns out that elevating speakers makes a huge difference in the sound. (Which, I realize, is why the pros do it. ;-).
So - if you've put together a home studio and you've put off buying monitor stands, buy these! They're reasonably well made (for the price) and hold my Mackie monitors well.
Not bad for the money
I purchased these to hold a pair of M-Audio BX8a Deluxes. They do the job just fine. They were not quite as solid as I would have like but once set up they are dong well. The height justifiability was a big factor in my decision and has afforded me a versatile set of stands.
Pass these up, quality issues.
First, let me say Sweatwater is awesome and they take care of you with a problem...
... these stands being the problem.
It took 2 sets to get one working set. High quality metal, extremely poorly machined. The plastic bits are brittle and both sets came with broken plastic, damaged metal and I'm going to have to get a tap and die set to assemble the feet pegs correctly.
They are also a little wobbly, so good only for home studio use where you have no pets or children who will tip them over.
This will be the last On-Stage product I buy. But Sweetwater has my business forever. The quickly shipped replacements free of charge. I couldn't be happier with a company.
As for these stands - pass them up.
Just want I wanted
Everything I needed, no damage in shipping and they work great.
Sweet stands!!
Very nice and good quality stands!! The best for the prince range!! Very strong and holds up to 90lb each!! Best of all, you can adjust to the height you want!! Very recommended!! =)
rock solid
excellent for the price
these are rock solid...i have krk 8s on them and these could take two on each stand if need be!
well built, a choice or rubber pads or rounded spikes takes care of the floor covering.
they have large flat bases with a rubber mat to help with isolation and big enough height flexibility to handle any desk or listening position
bargain
Work perfectly - with 2 monitors on each stand
This does exactly what it should. On each monitor stand I have a KRK Rokit 10-3 (45 pounds) and a Alesis M1 active 620 (~20 pounds?) on top of the KRK (on Mopads).
The stands hold them without a problem. They were easy to setup and adjust.
solid as a rock
I bought a cheaper pair of stands that were useless, but these, man Id build a house on these! I have a piar of krk 8's on these and they are heavy....but I never worry about them...the have a choice of feet for carpet or wood, a huge plate to place your monitor on, a pad to help isolation, and a solid build...highly recommended
Great stands, Great price
I'm using these to hold a pair of Mackie 824's at 46" high. Works perfect for my needs. It is however, a controlled studio environment. Some weights placed on the bottom would be advisable if used someplace where any bumping is possible. Build quality is higher than I expected for the price, and Sweetwater always rocks.
close monitoring
They are perfect for close monitoring
a bit wobbly
The base isn't quite wide enough, nor is the top plate. This is especially evident on a thick padded carpet. Probably best if the stands were pre mounted to a board
Handy Stands
Purchased two sets to support speakers in two different control rooms. They do exactly what we wanted them to do, and the "look" fits the design of the room....this is a much better alternative to wall mounting.
Now the downside: The stock rubber feet (required for this install are not adjustable, so we had to shim the bases to get the stands level. This is certainly not a deal-breaker, but adjustable rubber feet would have been a nice touch.
They do the Job!
I would recommend these stands. They do what they're supposed to do - they hold speakers. They have a little bit of wobble on carpet, but are still pretty steady. These stands are also built well. I'd buy them again.
Better to hear you with
I know I should rate these 5 stars, but that's not my style; however I don't see how they could get much better? Definitely, these On-Stage Stands allow me to easily place my monitors for the most correct listening perspective! I thought they were easy to assemble, and the default height is the perfect level, when sitting in a standard office chair. I don't have any experience with them with the higher adjustments, but they should be alright; however at the highest height, depending on the weight of your speakers, they may be a little top heavy?
Not so much..
These are below average stands for a good price. They are a bit wobbly. I had major issues with knobs snapping. I cannot recommend this product unless it's quite literally all you can afford.
on stage stands
the stands are poorly constructed, and I would have a hard time even putting my computer speakers on the stands without having a nervous breakdown. they are unstable which would cause any speaker mounted it on them to move leading to an unreliable source for monitor mixing especially in smaller rooms where the sweet spot is so much smaller.
Little wobbly
Stands are ok, but a bit wobbly. Also, when assembled they are at different heights. Good for small budgets.
strong stands
these stands are great. plenty of adjustability , nice wide base for stability, and the plates at the top for holding monitors are the perfect size..only issue is the adjustable feet ..when removing the standard plastic flat feet and installing the pointed spikes that come with the stands you must be sure to remove any plastic that may still be on the threads in the base or you will strip the threads on the pointy spikes and or get them stuck..very hard to remove after....
Quite disappointed
I had major issues with these stands. Screws stripping. Handles breaking. Incomplete packages from the company (they had to send me 4 stands in total for me to be able to have 2 working stands). I'm not sure what the issue was. "On-Stage" stuff is usually decent. This was a massive downfall though.
Wretched.
Solid, stable, easy to adjust, quality metal
These things have been in my home and moved around a few times for about a year. The adjuster is solid, it has never slipped, even after I've twisted them to angle them towards me without loosening them. (That's probably not recommended, but it's as much abuse as I've put them through). Just in case, there are holes drilled through the top tube at regular intervals and a heavy pin hanging near the joint that goes through these holes. If the adjuster/clamp lets go, the pin will save your monitors from a nasty tumble.
I put Auralex pads on top of mine for additional audio isolation. These things are fantastic for use at home if you don't have room on your desk for your monitors.
Very Supportive
Robust, strong, heavy duty. Will withstand torture. Maybe not torture but everyday use on the road or in the studio without the worry of it falling apart and your speakers falling to the ground. Built to last and well made.
