Great Pedal !!!

By Rod from WV on July 12, 2023 Music Background: Just for fun !

I already own several pretty good overdrive/distortion pedals so I didn't have to have this one. This pedal just adds that special sound I was looking for. Whether you want just a tinge of breakup or full bore distortion this pedal can do it ! I use it inline after my other overdrive pedals and adjust each one to my liking . I usually play through two amps spread apart in stereo and the sound I get with this pedal setup is right on the mark ! If you are considering this pedal, go for it ! I know people have different tastes but I really like it !!!

Immediately Impressed, Love It!

By Wes Barber from Kingwood, TX on April 17, 2023

I have never been so immediately impressed with an overdrive pedal before. As soon as I plugged this into the chain, set all knobs to 12 o'clock as a starting point, and engaged it, I was very happy with what this pedal was producing. Usually an overdrive needs some time to find that "sweet spot" but this whole pedal is a sweet spot. I turned knobs to experiment and was very pleased with every tone I was getting. I bought this to try out because I was having trouble finding a good drive tone with my Jazzmaster (Squier Classic Vibe). The other drive pedals I have just didn't play well with the JM. I went with this because it had more EQ options than many other drives at this price point and I thought that would help tame the JM. It's perfect with the JM and does exactly what I hoped. This has a very natural overdrive tone and it maintains this at low or high drive settings. The pedal is also very clean and I don't notice much noise when engaged and idle, compared to other drives I have used. Also, this is a very affordable drive and TC Electronic is always quality, based on my previous experience with the brand's other pedals. I am using this in a chain going into a UAFX Woodrow and it sounds great with the Woodrow.

Fixes my solid state modeling amp and makes it sound great!

By Sweetwater Customer on November 4, 2022

I use the MojoMojo on my Fender G-DEC Junior and it helps to make the amp sound warmer, richer and fuller. The MojoMojo when dialed in right adds a very slight and suttle low mid thickness, hard to explain. I find its not a "set it and forget it" type of pedal (i.e. Tube screamer), for each amp setting I have to dial it in or it will sound muddy but with a little tweaking between the amp settings and the pedal settings (usually level settings rather than tone knobs) I can get them matched tonally and sonically, bass tone knob is usually set pretty low. I use low output humbuckers and it works great with these. I can get nice overdrive without changing the amps overall characteristic sound.

Perfect overdrive pedal!

By Tony from Plainview on July 11, 2022 Music Background: Hobbyist, live gigs, classic rock 70s 80s 90s

This is absolutely perfect overdrive for bass players. I can add great overdrive to my tone and power without getting fuzzy or too distorted. It really helps the bass cut through the mix in a large band with two guitarists. It sounds awesome for guitarists also.

Classic OD/Boost Pedal

By James from Naperville on May 24, 2022 Music Background: Bedroom player

It's always value priced because it has been around for soooo long! What a great pedal if you are looking for some OD or just boosting the treble or bass. The Level controls the volume, and the Drive has a gritty sound when dialing it up for play. A really nice pedal especially for a board if you are on a budget. This isn't a budget pedal though. My Sweetwater Engineer, Nick Huskins, says it's a can't miss pedal and he was right. Enjoy!

This is a Must Buy

I like this pedal a lot! Great sounds and great price!
What else needs to be said.

Best overdrive pedal

By Sven from Valdosta, GA on February 9, 2022 Music Background: guitar, piano, vocals

I love the muddy tube overdrive it can give, very responsive to volume. I can hear the difference with my volume pedal before it, great for modern indie rock and even old zeppelin style overdrive.

Best overdrive for the money

By Daniel from Ohio on January 29, 2022

Decided to add another overdrive pedal to my chain. Saw this MojoMojo pedal, read the specs, decided to try it, especially because it was on sale. This pedal not only sounds good on its own, but works well with other OD pedals (e.g., Ibanez TS). If you're in the market for an OD pedal, at this price point you can't go wrong.

$ Well Spent!

By Sweetwater Customer on January 27, 2022

This is the fourth TC Electronic pedal I've purchased in the last year & I'm blown away at the quality of pedals they produce for so little $$$! The MojoMojo is no exception! Been playing since 1979 & I've owned numerous overdrives over the years. This is a great little overdrive that's sensitive & reactive to your pick attack & sounds very similar to my 59 Bassman reissue cranked up, but I can still stand to be in the same room with it. I don't normally write reviews, but I was so pleased with this pedal I had to do it. I run this after my Tumnus Deluxe & holy smoking amps those two pedals together are going to be good buddy's. Stacked with the Tumnus with the gain on each at about 10 o'clock, it takes the nasally qualities out of the Klon sound & it's like you get a totally different third overdrive on the board. Very pleased with the pedal & of course no complaints with Sweetwater. It was on my porch in two days!!!

Nice little overdrive pedal.

Best cheap overdrive out there.

By Jasco from Nashville on December 2, 2021

Cool sounding bluesy overdrive for a good price. Has it's own unique flavor - not a tubescreamer clone. I could play a whole night of blues-rock with just this pedal. Best overdrive deal out there with the possible exception of the boss sd1.

TC Electronics MojoMojo

By Christopher from Lafayette, IN. on November 19, 2021 Music Background: Local, professional musician

I was looking for some type of overdrive pedal to use on my pedalboard for shows where I didn't need my guitar amp (running straight into a pa). So far, I like using the Mojo even when I am using my amp! I compared the crunch channel on my Marshall amp to the distortion with the Mojo. The Mojo sounds really close to the Marshall! You can't beat the price either! As always, Sweetwater did a great job taking care of me! A good overdrive pedal at a great price!

Pairs nicely with Iridium

By Erik Guidotti from Pittsburgh, PA on May 4, 2021 Music Background: Freelancer

Im running an ampless rig with a Strymon Iridium, boss es5 flanger, dekay and chorus. I need so ething to put some hair on the round sound. I hve a TS and a Green Rhino. The Mojo blows them both away. Perfect Larry Carlton "Kid Charlemagne" tone.

Takes my Amp to Another level

By Russell from New Orleans, LA on April 19, 2021

I always wondered why some people place an overdrive in front of an amp so I gave it a shot with the Boss Blues pedal and it really didn't sound great. So after waiting for months for the Mojo Mojo to come back in stock I figured I take one last chance and WOW!
On my 5150 it really makes every channel better
It gives the green(clean)channel a slight breakup that sounds like an old school tube amp.
It adds a little more "oomph" to the blue channel and acts like a boost
(A trick Paul Gilbert did when he used this pedal years ago)
And the Red Channel which is the over the top distortion channel it really tightens it up.
The voicing switch and the separate treble and bass controls is what sets this apart from every green pedal type clone as they only have a global tone control. It allows you to tailor the sound more. So far I have only used it as a boost and to tighten up the distorted channels and it does a great job at not coloring the sound.
I can't wait to get a Strat and really push the green channel on the 5150 for that perfect blues tone.

Thanks to Sam Hillman my sales guy at Sweetwater for helping me out with this and keeping me posted when this thing came back in stock

TC Electronic MojoMojo is the BEST!

By Jonathan E. from Michigan on December 4, 2020 Music Background: Passion, Hobby, Musician

This is probably my most loved pedal on my pedalboard. It is always ON. It's easy to dial in a nice tone and just makes my overall sound better. This pedal is worth double the amount of its price tag. Get one and add a little Mojo to your tone!

I LIKE IT A LOT!

By Marty from St Paul, MN on November 4, 2020 Music Background: Semi-pro 40 years

I have actually owned this pedal before and I wish I wouldn't have sold it. So, now I have it again.
In my opinion, it's a "dark" overdrive. It works particularly well for specific songs I play that have a kind of swampy feel (in a good way). It's a nice complement to the Boss Blues Driver. I also have a J Rockett Touch overdrive. I use these pedals separately and in combinations and they all play nice together. I haven't found a one and done overdrive pedal, so I use several. I recommend the MojoMojo.

MOJOMOJO OD

By Jakob Willoughby from Cheviot, OH on October 28, 2020

I absolutely love this pedal. It enhances the tone of my Orange 35RT, and turns it from a solid state amp to a hot tube amp with just a click. You can dial in a lot of different sounds with the controls, I mainly use it to add a bit of crunch to my other effects as well as a lead boost. The options are really limitless with this thing... This is my second TC Electronic pedal and I will absolutely be getting more.

It also goes without saying that Sweetwater's customer service is fantastic. Zach is always very quick to respond and friendly, I feel like I could trust this guy with any question I'd ever have regarding my gear.

Excellent od pedal

By Tim from Fl on October 15, 2020 Music Background: Hobbyist and guitar enthusiast

This pedal has made me fall in love with my Marshall dsl 40cr.

Grab one now. Best money I have spent on a pedal since the dreamscape.

great OD- Can you have too may OD's?

By riley on September 10, 2020 Music Background: semi-pro hack

This box sounds great into every amp I've used. Little tube Fenders, any size Marshall or Vox, my Oranges...
I even have a Positive Grid Bias Mini- The MojoMojo sounds great in front of all of them. ( Full disclosure-- in front of everything on my board, there's an "always on" X-otic EP boost- set to about 9am).

Great OD pedal

By Scott Reynolds from Fort Worth, TX on June 20, 2020

I use this with my Marshall DSL40cr and it the tone using this with the "crunch" voicing of the classic gain channel is amazing! It really works well as a transparent overdrive, and the it colors the amp tone just beautifully. The bang for your buck with this pedal is outstanding!

Solid overdrive on any amp!

By Mark K on June 18, 2020

This thing gives me a stinging blues tone all the way to rich classic overdrive, even on my Blues Jr! Very nice and well made, love the easy access battery compartment.

Great Overdrive

By Sweetwater Customer on May 16, 2020

This pedal is awesome and affordable! It doesn't get face melting unless you push it through an overdriven amp or in conjunction with another pedal. It has a good subtle overdrive that I have been looking for and the bass knob makes this pedal even better. It works great when combined with other overdrive pedals to get more punch. I had a YJM308 overdrive that this replaced because I never liked the harsh/thin tone from that pedal.

Great "BANG FOR YOUR BUCK" OD pedal.

By david j Zukauskas from MA on April 6, 2020

I recently bought this pedal based of off the reviews from other customers. This OD sounds very good to my ear. I prefer this over the other oveerdrive pedal i have that is twice the cost. Sweetwaters service is great as always.

What a great addition to my pedal board. It really rounds out the mix with my six other pedals. The name says it all and the small size is nice too. As always, the Sweetwater service and efficiency is second to none.

Vintage tube amp polisher!

By Nathan from Illinois on March 6, 2020 Music Background: Player, Tech

Let me explain. I own a 1967 Supro with only a master, bass, and treble control. This pedal set just like I have it pictured is Zeppelin 1, and no one can change my mind. Followed by a HOF in the chain and that's all you need. No this will not get you into metal territory. This really makes "gain-less" tube amps shine. Thank you TC for such an affordable, quality pedal! I also hooked this to a solid state affordable amp, and it sounds very good on the clean channels, but with less headroom.

Such a great all purpose amp enhancer pedal

By artzeal from Seattle, WA on December 15, 2019

Probably my favorite thing about this pedal that no other pedal I have can seem to accomplish is that it can boost very smoothly for legato leads, and it can also keep the crunch: It maintains the nuances of guitar volume and tone adjustments. This pedal is useful over it's entire gain range and isn't limited by a fixed color or transient character: sounds like guitar and amp.

This is absolutely my favorite overdrive pedal in front of a clean amp, as it can make any and all of the nuanced adjustments (and with any guitar) to get a variety of light to moderate distortion tones: fatter treble, a beefier crunch, a leash on Tele bridge Pickup so it will bite just right. It adjusts the EQ in a way that enhances the innate character of the guitar and amp.

It seems to play well with other distortion pedals. You'll still want a Tube Screamer, DS-1, Dark Matter or whatever you favor for the distinctive qualities they offer: but if I only had one pedal: the MojoMojo is it.

Such versatility especially for the price!

By Sweetwater Customer on December 8, 2019

These pedals from TC Electronic are phenomenal and that's putting it lightly! For 50 dollars brand new you're probably thinking "Alright if it's that cheap it probably sounds like crap". Let me tell you something this is by far the best pedal I've ever used and it sounds even better knowing it only cost me 50 bucks brand new! Such versatility is packed into this pedal. With 4 knobs on it plus the voice switch, it's a great way to experiment. Anything from giving your bluesy tone more punch and power or just cranking the drive up all the way for more harder rock! Buy this pedal now, you will not be disappointed!

All that Mojo!

By Ben Taylor on November 18, 2019

I bought this for a whopping $60 CDN and like many, it was after seeing Paul Gilbert's video. Well this pedal goes well beyond that. It is a multi function overdrive pedal that is so close to the x3 priced Fulltone OCD it hurts. In fact I'd argue the Mojomojo is a little sweeter.

I'm running into a Mesa Stiletto Deuce II, mainly with the Crunch and Tite modes as a clean boost. It adds thick, warm overdrive boost, perfect for lead lines or even just heavier hard rock tones. The Crunch mode on my amp is very similar to a JMP/JCM, so the Mojomojo really helps give it depth and punch!

Running it into the clean channel, and pushing up the drive on the Mojomojo gives fantastic, warm tube overdrive that really drips with tone. It's very sweet and loves both single coils and humbuckers. Both my Les Paul and Telecaster are comfortably at home with this pedal.

I should also add that it has way less noise than an OCD, but with all the same functionality. This pedal should cost twice what it does new, easily. I'm so glad I tried it, and so should you!

Can't Beat It!

By Austin Ferguson from Greenville, NC on November 6, 2019

I was looking for a transparent overdrive and decided to give this pedal a try (after a TON of research). To put it simply, the pedal has blown me away and I couldn't be happier with it. There's plenty of drive on tap and at the end of the spectrum you can get some really heavy crunch tones. Most importantly, it cleans up extremely well when you roll back the volume knob on the guitar (you could leave the pedal on permanently and ride the volume if you wanted). The construction is very solid and the pedal is better looking in person. Overall, you can't beat this pedal for the money... I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a full-sounding transparent overdrive.

What a pedal!

By Dave from Virginia on October 30, 2019 Music Background: Country, Country Rock

I am thrilled with this pedal. Right out of the box it had the overdrive sound I was hoping for. Very sweet, with tube-like sound and sensitivity. And what a bargain- I would expect this to cost three times what I paid. With two tone controls, the spectrum of sounds is awesome. Go MojoMojo!

Real mojo

By Stan from PA on August 29, 2019 Music Background: Guitar enthusiast for 41 years

Great sound from a extremely quite true bypass pedal, playing thru a USA blues deluxe with 57 les Paul, sound is big, bold, crisp or creamy. All at your fingertips, I have never been fond of this amps #2 channel till now, even with bright switch on, brings a strat to life, and can tame the wild chime of a tele, I never turn it off, adjust the drive and go

Could be just the Mojo you're looking for

By Geo from Santa Rosa, CA on August 12, 2019 Music Background: Rock, Country, Americana guitarist

I was looking for a second overdrive to pair with a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive and the MojoMojo gave some nice added dirt to my tone. What I really like about it is how it responds to my picking attack - going easy on the strings I get a nice taste of added warmth, and when playing more aggressively adds extra breakup and grittiness. Overall it adds a subtle tastiness and color without being too in your face - good mojo indeed!

The MM also excels with acoustic guitar, adding clarity and tonal balance.

Great Pedal for the $$

By B from Texas on July 27, 2019 Music Background: Begginner Guitarist

For the price this is a great pedal. Very versitile and adjustable. Not a huge difference between the two voices but it is noticable and most overdrive pedals I've seen at this price point don't have that feature. Solid construction.

mojo magic

By Roger j from Travelers Rest SC on July 14, 2019 Music Background: 35 years guitarist

I received my mojo mojo pedal about a week ago and haven't used it a lot yet, but in the limited time I have used it the pedal has proved it's worth and then some. If fattening up your tone with sweet fuzzy notes for less than fifty dollars sounds like a good idea to you then you had better get on this band wagon. Love it, love it, love it. Now as for Sweetwater. It really is hard to give someone credit for a device that is pre-packaged by another company and they really don't have any effect on the quality of the product. So, all there is to talk about here is the shipping. These guys are the best company bar none that I have bought from. Joe James called me very soon after the order was placed to tell me the pedal was on back order and that it might be two weeks before I would receive it. Less than a week later UPS pulls into my drive with it. If anybody has any experience with logistics they know how hard that is to accomplish, with a back ordered product the shipping usually takes much longer than expected.
The bag of candy. This is important guys so listen up. The way to a woman's heart is through a bag of Sweetwater candy. Don't touch the candy, here lies your path to more cool equipment in the future. The candy always goes to your wife, regardless of how much you want that bit-o-honey keep your pickin' fingers off of it! Get her addicted and reap the rewards. Thanks Sweetwater.

MojoMojo Pedal

By Brian Keneson from Texas on July 10, 2019

Great Pedal. Not a heavy overdriven sound, more of a warm clear overdrive with good tone options. Plays well with other pedals (ie..Triangle Big Muff Pi, Tone City Sweet Cream to name a few.) As usual great doing business with Sweetwater & my personal sales engineer Aaron.

Can't beat this for the price, really feels tube-like

By RichieZ from Florida on June 20, 2019

I added this to my Blues Jr IV and it just sounds great. With everything set to 12 o'clock, it is on the warmer side of overdrives I've tried and heard... but if I find it too warm for a certain application, it's easily brightened up with the bass and treble knobs. I run an EBMM Valentine thru it... which has a snappy bridge and super thick neck pickup (brighter when split) and this handles all positions very well. It really does react very dynamically and tube like to guitar volume as well as intensity of picking and strumming. I actually ran it thru my Amplug 2 Clean last night and it sounded great there too. It's also built very well, as expected with the "Ditto" people making it. I have found the voice switch is very subtle... and could probably stand to be more dramatic... so, again, I end up adjusting the bass and treble knobs to taste. Overall... it's quite extraordinary... actually even for twice that.

TC Dream Machine

By Anthony from CA on November 11, 2018 Music Background: Professional musician

TC Electronic has captured that crying sound that Eric Clapton has on his 335 guitar. Very much like the Wampler tweed 57 pedal but even warmer. It's very simple to operate and can dial in just the right amount of overdrive you need to express the nuances of any guitar. I've used it on all my guitars including the acoustic electrics in my arsenal and it enhances and warms the tone of both my solid state amp and my tube amp. For the price it's definitely an addition any guitarist can afford and can't afford not to have.

MojoMojo Is ExcellentExcellent

By Dan in Ohio from Central Ohio on October 25, 2018 Music Background: Amateur But Improving Rapidly

Returning to guitar playing after a 40-year layoff, I had a lot of catching up to do, including the confusing world of pedals. I'm not a gigging musician (yet) and play primarily for myself. But I'm a sucker for good tone and my Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Pro sounds great right out of the box. However, there are songs that require a bit of a raw boost to hit that sweet spot. A friend of mine who's in a band sold me an overdrive pedal for a decent price but it juat didn't move me. After researching the TC Electronics MojoMojo Overdrive pedal, I decided to give it a shot. For the reasonable price, what do you have to lose?
As it turns out, you gain a fantastic, meaty tone at an amazingly low cost. It's built tough, the 9v battery compartment is easy to access, the controls are easy to use and work beautifully. I absolutely LOVE this pedal. I've become a huge fan of TC Electronics gear (I also own a Ditto Looper). Their stuff is affordable, well-made, stout and it just flat out works! It adds just enough dirt to bring out a little volume and breakup without getting too distorted. It's just what I wanted. And Sweetwater, as always, provides incredible service and free shipping. You cannot go wrong. Highly recommended!!

TC Electronic MojoMojo

By Roberto from San Antonio, TX on October 6, 2018 Music Background: Guitar player, Studio Recording

Very happy with the TC MojoMojo Overdrive. After checking on several YouTube reviews and specially Mr. Paul Gilbert's video "review" I ordered without esitations and again I am very happy I did.
Valve-like overdrive or a nice clean boost that push your amp a little further, I use with a Carvin Quad X, Fender tube and a small Bugera. The pedal responds very well to playing dynamics and has a clarity that lets chords ring through with individual notes intact.
Bass and treble controls are sensitive and powerful, you can dial any sound color and the toggle switch keep the bottom end intact or give you a more leaner sound..
Thank you Sweetwater and a big THANK YOU for all the suggestions and help to my "Top notch" Sales Engineer Casey Gerlach!!

All The Best!

Good and warm

By Anthony Buchner from CA on August 8, 2018 Music Background: Guitar player

This is my favorite drive pedal on my board. The way I have it set is for very very low gain, and it make the clean tones have just a little bit more character and if I hit something hard it'll break up just a bit. Boosting in front will give it more of an even drive. However this is only how I use it and it can do a lot more than this. It can do a great transparent drive as well as borderline distortion. However it is naturally bass heavy. If you want a even transparent drive I'd actually turn the bass knob to nine o'clock. I keep it in the middle because I prefer a very warm tone. The voicing switch essentially boosted the mids and lows even more, and once again I have it on. One more use I have for it is boosting a warming up a distortion pedal. Just ride the volume knob and you should be good. Overall an outstanding pedal and for a great price

Clean sound, great price

By Sweetwater Customer from WA on July 12, 2018 Music Background: casual playing for 50+ years

I have plenty of distortion/fuzz pedals, but they all sound too noisy to me. Too much background hiss even turned down. An digital multi-effect pedals have an aliasing background noise. I wanted a smooth but forceful sound for lead breaks. Mojomojo does that. I can control the levels using the guitar volume knob, but I really like the sustain it has when fronted by a compressor (Helix). The base and treble controls let me dial in the tone I want. Very happy with this pedal.

Smooth and solid!

By Robert Ricks from Fryeburg, ME on July 2, 2018 Music Background: Former gigging musician. Currently an open mic hobbyist.

Great overdrive that enhances the touch sensitivity of my amp (Blues Cube Hot). I love the bass and treble control. Great as a clean boost as well. The best overdrive I've owned in 20+ years of playing!

Perfect with Greenbacks

By Michael McFarland from NW NJ on June 30, 2018 Music Background: soon to be good

I have twin Greenbacks which always sounded flat and dull. I could not figure out how to breath life into them. I thought long and hard about unloading them. I have at least five boutique ODs. For some reason this pedal breaths life into GBs making them sound crisp, full and pristine. The way I imagine they are built to sound. I would pay $299 for a pedal to do what this pedal does.

Mojomojo

By RJ Cass from Florida on June 29, 2018 Music Background: Been playing in roadhouse bands for over 30 years

At this price point this is an exceptional pedal using it like a warm clean boost mainly but it has lots of grit and stacks well with my keely fuzz also thinking about pickicking up another. TC electronics has some great pedals that won't break the bank.

Just right

By Chris. from California on June 1, 2018 Music Background: Jazz, Fusion, R&B, Meditaion and more.

I have been using a very clean amp with no distortion on board and was missing some body and playing feel. I was considering some of the more boutique OD's and seeing as distortion/OD isn't one of my top priorities I decided not to spend a lot on it. So, after returning some "Clon" OD's I listened to the "MojoMojo"
sound samples on Sweetwater and purchased one. This is it, exactly what I was missing in my sound, everything is good about this pedal, from the tone controls to the voice switch and the price. It's a very clean
unit, nothing taken from the sound just adds a nice feel and tube like over drive and as usual, Sweetwater customer care is top notch. Thanks!

Tone Control

By Brian from Placerville on May 8, 2018 Music Background: Hobbyist

I"m blown away with all my unique drives :) Soul Food, OCD, Timmy and the Mojo Mojo. If it"s good enough for Paul Gilbert it is certainly good enough for me. It"s smooth and nicely variable but what I love most is the separate bass and treble knobs rather than a single tone adjustment.

Unbelievable pedal... feels like I should be paying way more for this.

By Brad from Michigan on May 5, 2018

Not to bash any of the negative reviewers, but seriously, if you've got problems getting a great sound out of this pedal—either there's something wrong with your pedal, or IT'S NOT THE PEDAL. Because a working Mojo Mojo really blows my mind.

This thing nearly perfectly matches (like 90-95%) the Fulltone OCD and a lot of other pedals that are triple its price, but then it goes further and can just do more. Honestly, the Mojo feels drastically underpriced for what it can do. It's a world-class, versatile performer. Easily one of the best, most useful overdrive pedals I've ever owned or used or heard.

If you play electric guitars, and you don't own one of these, really... I'd encourage you to check it out. Like so many others have said, it really is too easy to get a great sound out of this little burgundy colored overdrive.

Hats off TC Electronics (who also make my favorite line of tuners—the Unitune clip and Polytune floor) for making such a great pedal at an unbelievable price.

MojoMojo Rocks!

By Troy from Michigan on April 29, 2018 Music Background: Playing since 1982ish

I gave this pedal try because it got great reviews, sounded good in the videos, and it wasn't 200 bucks or more like most other pedals out there. I play a 50w Ceriatone Overtone Special (Dumble clone) with an Eminence 12" Cannabis Rex speaker, and the MojoMojo sounds awesome through it! The MojoMojo is my new favorite OD, and I've used a lot of them since 1982 lol. It's got a great vibe! It's smooth and fat while still retaining some plexi-type edge. Great all around workhorse pedal, and it can be as transparent as you want it to be. A sweet OD for classic rock and blues and alternative and fusion and country alike.

Pull the trigger.

If you've been thinking about buying this pedal based on reviews here, or on youtube, just pull the trigger. It's the perfect od pedal. For the price, it's a no brainer. I've tested it with a 70s Fender Champ, which is known for its dirty sound when cranked. This pedal will give you pretty much the same tone at lower volume levels. I've also tested this with an 80s Peavey "amp in guitar case" with a 4" speaker...even on a 4" inch speaker with a solid state amp, this will give you a fatter, overdriven tone. I highly recommend this pedal for anyone who does any recording.

it's got the Mojo

By Bill Benard from Warren, MI on April 9, 2018

I was very impressed by the pedal. ...it sounds fantastic. EQ works well, nice range on the Gain but toggle switch did not make as much of tonal change than I thought it would have. The MojoMojo also works well with other pedals. Only thing I don't like about this pedal is the color.

Good News-Not a Distortion Peda

By William Smith from Winston Salem, NC on April 5, 2018

Overdrive sounds like dripping wet tubes, offering a touch of brightness and character to help your guitar get around the sizzling hi-hats and thump of the bass. The versatility of this pedal gives you bass and treble to help your fingers and ear cooperate beyond just a tone knob. The level control gives you boost when you need it, and a cut when you don't. The drive control is smooth and offers everything from a desert with slight saturation buried deep within the mix to a dripping grind of well saturated tubes. There is no tonal sacrifice, and if you feed back, it was probably on purpose.

Plays well with others.

By Bob Left from Illinois on March 29, 2018 Music Background: 40 years of rock.

I bought the pedal on a whim, after seeing a famous guitarist using one on a YouTube video. I regretted the decision instantly. I already have a metric S-ton of drive pedals. The last thing I needed was another one. Then It arrived. I've been trying to put together a fly rig for a while, and this turned out to be the magic ingredient that was missing. I plugged it in with all the controls at 12 o'clock, and didn't even touch it. Sounds great. Just the right amount of gain, a bit of compression, and the sustain! You could go an' 'ave a bite, you'll still be hearin' that one, It operates on a regular 9v battery or power supply, so it hooked up with my MXR ISO Brick flawlessly. It's also QUIET! Since I added this to my board, I was able to remove my noise gate! Now THAT alone is worth the price of admission. Creamy, smooth, liquid lead tones, great price, you pretty much can't go wrong. MUCH thanks to Aaron Reginold for helping me out. This guy has improved my life more than a psychiatrist! Once again, THANK YOU AARON REGINOLD!

Drive pedal

By Mel from Idaho on February 13, 2018 Music Background: PLaying for over 50 years, played semi-pro for years, now I play for fun.

Ordered the pedal, figured to get it the following Monday. Wrong! I got it the Friday right after ordering! Plugged it in, played with the settings, and got that tone I was looking for. Playing my Telecaster on the neck pickup on almost full bass gives such a fat , thick tone that just screams MOJO. Also play a Ibanez semi hollow custom, (not your usual artcore), and it just drips that tone we love.

Great tone!! From almost completely clean to just the right amount of dirty!! This is an awesome pedal!!

Great pedal

By Geno from Belleville, IL on January 1, 2018 Music Background: playing guitar for 30+ years.

Wow! ...are you kidding me!!!! I have owned/played several overdrives over the years and this is the best so far. I now prefer this pedal to my Fulltone OCD and my MXR GT-OD. I typically use it to add just a hint more gain on a overdriven amp (Marshall class 5, Marshall JVM, or a EVH 5150) but it also sounds good as a stand alone overdrive on a clean amp. This pedal could easily go for $100-200 if it was made by a more boutique pedal company and looked the part. Lets face it...it does have a weird name and a strange color choice for an overdrive pedal but it sounds SO GOOD.

TC electronics Mojo Mojo drive pedal

By Billy from Birmingham Alabama on December 30, 2017 Music Background: 35+ year musician bar bands jam bands Allman head.

I have been playing for 35+ years and have run the gamut on drive pedals(not to mention other gear)and just got my hands on a TC Electronics Mojo Mojo. Wow. I'm not going to say its the best because there are alto of fine pedals out there but wow! Up there with the OCD for sure. And it adds something,a certain roundness and bloom that is hard to define. Don't want to turn it off. And what a deal, not to mention top tier service as always from Sweetwater. Definitely adds....Mojo!

Tops Fulltone OCD in my book.

By Bradlii from Michigan on December 22, 2017

...this thing is a steal.

We were able to match our favorite setting on the Fulltone OCD like 90 - 95% of the way there, literally flipping back and forth between the two to try and tell the different. We were playing with a signature Gibson Les Paul into a Dual Rectifier with 4x12, so not exactly beginner gear.

In the end, we both agreed the Fulltone left us underwhelmed by comparison. No bashing them... Fulltone stuff is great, but between these overdrives, we felt much more of a draw toward the one that cost 1/3 the price. Maybe OCD is pursuing more of a vintage character, but we felt this little Mojo could do the best of it and then MORE of you want it.

Guacamole flambé

By Señor Longshanks from Taos, NM on December 16, 2017 Music Background: Pro with a day job

Start with the creamy richness of avocado. Add satisfying spices to give it dimension and punch. And then light the sonofagun on fire!

That's what MojoMojo does for my semi-hollowbody played through a super-clean amp. My solos jump out of the mix with two pistols blazing away and a knife gripped between smiling teeth.

I bow down in gratitude.

Rich Smooth Overdrive

By Steve Pirie from Milton, MA on September 13, 2017 Music Background: Retired Rock 'n' Roller

I own three other OD pedals, but this MojoMojo OD is, by far, the richest-sounding of the lot. With only Bass and Treble tone knobs, you might think the variety of tone would be limited, but it's not at all. The tone knobs are very responsive and working those two yields some great mid-range, too. When I use my Strat with bridge pu only, adding a little bass fattens up the tone remarkably well. Also, the Bass knob does not muffle the tone - it has a nice round, full, defined Bass tone.
The overdriven tone has some hair to it (call it smooth), not at all rough or overly gritty, so it's a great addition to a pedal board with other OD pedals.
When I considered the price, I figured I couldn't go wrong. But, the fact is, it's a great OD pedal with a character unlike others I have. Glad I bought it!

Perfect

By Scott Pray from DODGE CITY, KS on September 7, 2017

I was looking for an overdrive that wouldn't change the sound of my Fender Bassbreaker 45 and just sound over driven at the same level as when I am playing clean. I am so in love with this pedal, I can't believe it is so inexpensive. When it's on, it sounds just like my amp when I am pushing the tubes. It's amazingly perfect! I have never been happier with a pedal in my life!

What a Great Pedal!

By Jeff from Atlanta on August 31, 2017 Music Background: 10+ Years Guitar

I ordered this pedal because I liked the tone more than other overdrives online and I am glad I made the choice. Good for classic rock from Aerosmith to AC/DC to Boston. Watch the video of Paul Gilbert's demo. After that, check the price and get it!

The Perfect Fit

By daniel hoehne from east peoria, IL on August 4, 2017

Had been looking for an overdrive pedal for quite a while. Had tested about a dozen of them. Settled on the Mojomojo....spot on! It sounds great on its own but takes on a whole another range of colors when paired with the Dark Matter pedal. Zero noise, lots of latitude, exactly what I was looking for.

Death, Taxes and Overdrive Pedal Options

By Neal Rudnik from Chicagoland on July 17, 2017 Music Background: Weekend Cover Bander

Seems like Death, Taxes and now 'Plethora of Overdrive Pedals' are the only certainties in life. With so many options from every corner of the guitar market it’s hard to just to keep up. This pedal is like a breath of fresh air in my rig and the bass knob is everything I had hoped for. I can run it through a bunch of different amps and dial in 'my' tone fairly quickly. Got a small Blues Jr. and don’t like that 'boxyness' associated with smaller cabinets? Use a MojoMojo in front of it with the bass and treble at 2 O’clock. Already have a favorite overdrive and need a little extra boost to get you to 'windmill godlike shredding' solos? MojoMojo can get you there. Going to your local blues jam and don’t know what amp you’ll wind up playing on? Keep a MojoMojo close by. If I absolutely had to find a fault in this pedal, it would be the god-awful brown paintjob. For an extra $30 TC Electronics can dream up a 'MojoMojo Limited Edition' and offer another color and I’d still be like, 'Shut up and take my money!!'

…and for 50 bucks? Like many have said here, it’s a no brainer.

MojoMojo is a hit.

I have been looking for a pedal that actually sounds like a good tube amp turned up to the sweet spot for forty plus years. I have owned dozens many of which cost four or more times what this sells for. This one flat out delivers the goods. Nothing else I have tried delivers the blues and classic rock tones like this pedal. It is truly like adding a really great new channel to the amp of choice. It will never leave my board. Buy this.

Killer overdrive

By Steve Mueller from WI on May 7, 2017

Been playing over 40 years. This pedal is amazing! Very warm and reminiscent of a Marshall Plexi. The bass knob is the secret sauce. Doesn't replace the Tube Screamer on your pedal board, but gives you a warmer, less compressed sounding option.

Unbeatable at any price

By Sweetwater Customer on April 15, 2017

On my amp's clean channel this thing delivers unbelievable overdrive sounds, from low gain tweed sound to high gain classic rock tone. Flip my amp to the gain channel with this pedal and unlock a whole new sonic palette that goes right through more modern gain sounds. With the four knobs I can find just about any sound I'm looking for. It can get a bit dark, especially on the neck pickup, to the point that it starts to overload my amp's speaker. That may be more a knock against my amp, but the voicing switch can help cut some of the bass frequencies if needed. It has a nice, solid feel to it and seems to be built like a tank. For $ this seems a no brainer.

By turning the drive up to 7 and keeping the volume at around 3 this thing gives you such a creamy lite overdrive that is that brownness that everyone is looking for. I use it going into Ampli tube 4...I turn down the gain of any amp in Ampli Tube 4 and use this pedal to feed said amp....unbelievable.

This peddle adds a beautiful edge to my Digitech GSP1101. (yes I cheat , I love to cheat).
What this pedal adds when placed in front of the modeler is an edge from very slight to over driven Fender Deluxe or Fender Twin and then some. That big muddy brown highly collectible dirt box on all those famous pedal boards can not compete with the Mojo Mojo sonically.
The sound of the Mojo Mojo stays clear and articulated never muddy or harsh, buzzy or shrill.
I purchased this stomp box along with the Dark Matter Distortion pedal. At this time I am working mostly with the Mojo Mojo and have only briefly explored the Dark Matter, The Dark Matter yielded good sounds when applied.
At the amazing price, free shipping great customer service, The words to describe doing business with Sweetwater Music transparent transactions per usual at Sweetwater Music.

No Lack Of Mojo Here

Double the mojo means you gt a great overdrive for your hard earned cash. I was looking for a second drive pedal that I could bring to an open mic without disconnecting my main overdrive from my pedal board every week. I was sold when I watched the video featuring Paul Gilbert, an amazing and entertaining guitarist with a wonderful sense of communication. All this sound for $50? Sold! When I received it, I immediately hooked it up to my Telecaster. The blues mojo is there in spades. It's so good, it has become a permanent fixture replacing the original pedal on my board. My original pedal was and still is good but the TC Electronics MojoMojo is what I want to hear when I play the blues! It's every bit as good as those OD pedals I lusted after before I latched on to this little beauty. This is it for natural overdriven amp sounds. Every time I switch it on I'm transported to a little juke joint on a hot sweaty night with the band cranking out the classic blues tunes and my Tele just pouring it's heart out thru my MojoMojo driven amp. I love it!

For half the money.!!!Love the bass and treble control.

By Richard Johnson from Indiana on July 9, 2016

This is a really good sounding pedal. with the drive knob at nine O clock, you get a nice punchy clean kind of tone. Crank the drive knob all the way for some nice saturated sustain. The active bass and treble works great as well. You don't need to spend $200 for a good overdrive pedal!

Why is this so cheap?

By TM on July 8, 2016

This is a pretty solid OD pedal. It hangs up there with lots of the boutique stuff. The fact that its 50 bucks is mind blowing. Its pretty chunky in the mid range, which I usually like. Very flexible, not over done like so many OD’s out there. You seriously can’t go wrong at this price. Get this and an EH Soul Food and you’ll have a great couple choices that you could also stack. And no one will know how little you spent until they look at your board.

Pray For Mojo

By jShred from Chicago on June 29, 2016 Music Background: Touring

Very subtle depending on your settings and placement. With some light adjustments and heavy noise gate action (front and loop) I have this sitting in front of the amp, and left on during my heavy gain channel rhythms. Why? I get just a bit more color out of my tone, and I don't have to crank my amp presence or go for screaming overdrive. (Screaming is a separate pedal.) If you are looking for tube screamer esque power, this probably isn't what you want. Cool coloration? For this price, super solid purchase.

"Sounds so nice you get to say it twice". Having the bass AND the treble is a great feature! I'm primarily a singer songwriter and do a lot of solo work. This unit can provide a subtle gain and sustain to enhance a solo over a loop and still maintain enough transparency not to compromise my overal sound. Remarkable investment for the dough.

This hits the spot!!!

Yup, blown away!!! This is exactly what I needed on my very small pedal board. Sounds incredible, no matter how you have it set. The bass and treble are very reactive and the voice switch helps as well!!! YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS $50 OVERDRIVE!!!!

Just What I Needed

By Erick M. from Glenpool, OK on May 1, 2016

I was looking for a complimentary pedal to provide clarity for my Outlaw Widow Maker distortion pedal and refined tone for my Fender Champion 20 amp which I use for home studio recordings. I got this based on the reviews, and this does the trick! You don't need a loud or high wattage amp to effectively use the MOJO. Great pedal for not only boost but also to make the distortion less saturated. This really helps make each chord and picked note distinct and crisp while providing added versatility for creating different tones with simple to use controls for fine tuning. No regrets here. Highly recommended.

Best Value for Money OD pedal

By Paul Cooper from Warrenton, VA on April 17, 2016

If you've already got an amp that you love the tone of, this pedal just sweetens it. Whether its overdriving a clean channel or adding some extra sizzle on a dirty channel, you can't really get it wrong with the Mojomojo. Don't expect it to deliver bone crushing distortion or turn your solid-state 10 W amp into a Marshall stack - this is not what this pedal does. The transparency of this pedal is what makes this so great. Start with a great tone - add this on and you still have the great tone - just overdriven. Grit and drive without coloring.

That something extra

I have found me MOJO. This pedal is a solid professional quality tool. I played it through my Roland Cube Street EX 50 Watt dual 8 inch battery powered amp and it's incredibly dynamic response to my play of the volume knob on my fender strat pushed this pedal over the top! It will make a great base for my practice of blues and rock tones I have been using in the Oregon State Hospital Patient Band of which I am the guitarist and singer. At this point I am running the Mojo on battery into my Zoom G1X multi effects processor that is also on battery power. So far I have not been hassled by Nurse Ratchet for having to much equipment but she has eyed me pretty good. The pedal has a lot of good tone, and could probably survive being thrown into the bricks by a psycho!

I play bottleneck on a double cut Tele through a Blackstar and wanted to get a fatter sound for some songs. The guitar is a one of a kind so I didn't want to change pickups or alter it in any way. So I checked out a bunch of drive pedals, the winner being the Mojomojo. It gave me a wide span of tones as well as the drive which was important in my music. I love not only the thicker sound but also the grit it gave my solos. For the cost, you can't go wrong.

One of the Best Guitar Deals Out There!

By Rich from San Diego on November 6, 2015 Music Background: Hobbyist (occasional gigging)

I originally bought this pedal as a replacement after my Ibanez TS9 quit on me, and I was expecting it to be a good pedal with the other reviews being so positive; however this pedal is a real standout, and not to mention the price is fantastic. I was really not in the mood to by another $100+ OD pedal that would just die on me again, and $50 for something that seems to be really well built, as it has been traveling in a backpack almost every day for about 3 weeks now.

Now the sound, this thing goes from a whisper to a ROAR. The OD is really tight and focused, with no boomy bass at all, a major plus for me. It's also whisper quiet when in operation and the true bypass is really nice as well. The drive itself is really nice and transparent, Paul Gilbert in his intro video for this pedal really summed it up nicely, the nice amount of fullness added to high notes with no booming low end is really uncommon among pedals. The OD itself is very amp-like and the best description of it is that it adds some extra punch (or mojo) to your current sound, unlike my TS9, which while it did have a better midrange crunch, also put a blanket over my tone.

This pedal is an indispensable addition to any player's arsenal, and particularly good for those of us looking to build a pedalboard without spending a small fortune. I love this thing, TC Electronic has a new fan!

Played my Gibson SG through a Blackstar HT40 coupled with a Tech 21 boost/comp pedal and found this pedal to have a killer sound. Meaty, responsive, simple to use, clean if you need it, well built... Just absolutely can't go wrong at this price range. If the quality & build holds up over time, this pedal deserves 5-stars and more. I've owned T.C. Electronic devices before, and they've always been of exceptional quality.

Okay so i thought hey its a 50 dollar pedal. i'll get it for peanuts its cheap chump change whatever. Anyway, so i did purchase this on a whim and it took me 3 days after i got it to actually try it out (you know i figured a 50 dollar pedal who cares) and man it rivals analog man's overdrive stuff. its absolutely outstanding for a cheap pedal. its built well, you can dial in any amount of overdrive you want from practically clean to some crunch all the way to metal.....and it reminds me of 60's rock bands i.e. Cream, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, etc., sort of sound like a marshall breaking up and then some. plus you have eq with bass/treble. two voicing choices and of course the volume. I cannot believe that something this cheap turned out to be now one of the better pedals in my f/x chain. i kid you not. get it. it cost peanuts no problem. especially if you're on a budget.

MojoMojo lives up to its name!

This is my first TC Electronic pedal, and surely won't be the last. Got this because of the individual bass and treble controls- I liked the idea of boosting bass without sacrificing the high end. MojoMojo has a good range of overdrive, it can be a light "hair" on the sound or give your amp a nastier attitude. It can serve as more of a boost than OD, too. The Voice switch definitely makes a difference for humbuckers or single coils, too. It stands very well on its own and also sits well in between other overdrives and distortion- I have it between an EHX Soul Food and a Big Muff Pi w/Tone Wicker (and I recommend each of those as well!) It plays well with the SF and adds a nice touch to the BMPTW as well.
As for the pedal build- It seems like it will be around for a long time; nice solid case and knobs feel like they have quality pots under them. I think the switch would be considered "soft."
Great price for what you get.
Also want to recommend my Sales Engineer Alden Debee at ext. 1636. Super nice guy, knowledgeable and a pleasure doing business with!

Great

By J on October 1, 2015

I bought this to add a little grind to the slightly broken up tone I get from my tube amp. It's great. The voice switch keeps thinks full. Drive, Bass, and Treble knobs fine tune. I often find that adding an overdrive pedal to my rig ruins my amp's tone. Not in this case - and at $45 it's a real steal. I use this along with a Spark Booster and Dark Matter. All by TC. I'm a big fan. Thanks TC and SW!

Great range, from clean boost to strong overdrive

By Matt W. from Yardley, PA on September 22, 2015 Music Background: 20 years playing acoustic, recent semi-hollow electric

You can't beat the value of this pedal--outstanding quality for $49.99. I keep it engaged nearly 100% of the time as a clean boost, with the drive set at 7:00 and the level at 3:00. The four knobs can be adjusted to give a wide range of distortion. I love the separate bass and treble knobs to shape the sound. Backing off on the bass is especially helpful at high gain. The construction is excellent. I'm sure to buy more TC Electronic pedals in the future.

MojoMojo is an excellent pedal

By john on August 24, 2015

I've been playing guitar for 40 years. I bought 2 of these pedals and they are on my pedalboard now. I gig with a band approx two times a week. They are excellent pedals that do as claimed. They have a very natural tubelike overdrive sound and clean up nicely if you back your guitar's volume knob. They also sound great in tandem, I have one set for modest overdrive and then sometime I will kick in the second for a more ballsy OD tone. The tone controls are sensitive and the pedal is whisper quiet. I love them.

Made my old Tube Screamer TS9DX sound somewhat blah by comparison. The TC Electronics MOJO MOJO is your guitars BFF! I could not find any fault with this high-tech, high-fidelity device.

great pedal

By Sweetwater Customer on July 23, 2015

I have been playing live for 35 years. I bought this pedal and I think its outstanding. It is very natural sounding, with a overdriven tube amp like vibe. The controls are sensitive and allow you to dial in the exact sound you want. It is transparent, very quiet and well built. The on light is bright. Reasonably priced as well. I am thrilled with this pedal. I also think Sweetwater is an outstanding company, great customer service.

Just got this MojoMojo pedal and it rocks! It's no tube screamer, but more like a Fulltone OCD on steroids. The bottom end is punchy like a sound of a Marshall 4X12 cabinet. Great for playing blues and hard rock.

pedalboards need a MojoMojo

By Roger Hausmann from Johnson City, TN on June 28, 2015

I didn't expect a whole lot from the TC Electronic MojoMojo overdrive, but the price is right and I have confidence in their products. My Tele and Strat tones were already well established with my Fulldrive Anniversary overdrive and the killer Wampler Clarksdale, but I'm always open to new solutions. The MojoMojo drives my existing pedals truly over the top: the controls are really working well and are precise. Result: I can now dial in a beautiful smooth "Santana" tone and violin-like sustain using the pedals with humbuckers AND single coils!! Honestly, the Mojo by itself is not suitable for my setup, but it adds a whole new dimension to the existing overdrives. Currently I am still using it with a 9 volt battery (not included, and no Power Supply either), but that's no big deal. The name is chosen well, because it does exactly what the name suggests: it adds the Mojo to your setup. No dead cats or chicken bones required for stellar mojo tone. Thanks TC Electronics, and thanks Sweetwater for the inspiration!

Awesome Pedal-Highly Recommend

By Owen on June 26, 2015 Music Background: Guitarist playing jazz and rock.

I knew it was going to be good, but just from playing around with it, I know its a versatile pedal. I use my amp and guitar to get most of my overdrive tones, but this adds a really thick, crunchy distortion. Used in front of a fuzz, it sounds amazing. I went from a bluesy sound to a heavy rock sound with this pedal. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a good pedal.

Just got the mojo overdrive from tc electonics, and let me say, there isn't a more complete overdrive pedal than the mojo and it is not expensive at all. Just a couple years ago this pedal was valued at a much higher price so do not hesitate to purchase one of these bad boys, you will be blown away.

MojoMojo delivers!

By Ryan from Sacramento on May 27, 2015

Was watching and waiting for a price drop on this pedal for sometime...when it came I jumped all over it. Heard and read nothing but good things about this overdrive pedal and when I got it I was not disappointed! Quality is top notch. The true bypass is indeed true bypass and doesn't color your signal at all when not in use, which is worth it weight in gold alone. Then when you are using the pedal the range of tone I have gotten out of this pedal is amazing. I have been able to get all the way from Hendrix to AC/DC and everywhere in between. The bass and treble controls really make this pedal so versatile and works just great to get a wide variety of sounds. Really inspires one to play. Heard nothing but great things about tc electronic pedals and I was not disappointed. Will be buying more from this line.

I have tried many OD and distortion pedals and the MjMj blew me away. It has been my main lead pedal for 3 years now and will continue to be. My entire pedalboard is all TC Electronics pedals. The chain is 1) Polytune 2, 2) MjMj ODj, 3) Spark boost, 4) Arena reverb, and 5) Flashback delay. The quality of TC Electronics is superb and priced well below many "Boo tique" pedals that I have tried. TCE keep developing pedals and I will buy one.

Great Valve Style Overdrive

After buying several TC Electronic pedals, I recieved the Mojo Mojo Overdrive through a promotion offered by Sweetwater in conjunction with TC Electronic.

I love the Mojo Mojo Overdrive. This pedal offers a nice overdriven tone similar to a cranked tube amp. It is a responsive pedal that adjusts to how hard or soft you play, much like you would get from a tube amp. In addition, the sound and tone can be adjusted on the pedal itself allowing for many different tones.

This is a nice addition to my pedalboard. Highly recommended!

I own a TC Electronic rack mount processor and use a variety of the TC Powercore plugins. I have always been impressed with the depth and richness they bring to the mix. Being a guitar player with a limited budget for pedals I had to give the TC MojoMojo a try. I have a blues
ock\jazz style and often finger pick and slap notes trying to get a subtle, yet in your face vibe. This pedal hits the bulls eye and I'm 100% happy with my purchase. It also can rock and make your amp sing with no fizzy-fuzzy overtones, but also disappear to an almost clean sound when you back off the strings. Having separate bass and treble controls lets you have complete control for whatever type of guitar you plug in. True bypass is there and it takes up a small space on my pedal board This would not be a good fit for Shred\Metal but will handle anything else with TC quality and great tone.

I just got the MojoMojo from Sweetwater by a recommendation from the staff and I have not been disappointed! I play a Fender Tele Deluxe with two humbuckers through a Vox AC 15 w/ a blue speaker. The amp already has an amazing overdriven tone and I was concerned about coloring the already great sounding tone, just using a compressor to push the amp into overdrive. But with the MojoMojo I retain the low end warmth without all the fuzz on top and it really complements the source with a clear, tube sounding overdrive. It just plays beautifully and is wonderfully compact. It's also true-bypass, eliminating any line noise. I've played through modded Tube Screamers and Blues Drivers and a few boutique pedals but this one stands out!

I was in the market for a distortion pedal for a fly rig I was making. To be used when using back line amps at studios etc. I have other pedals on my main big board and I wanted one for this fly rig. The Mojo is an amazing value and offers great sonic ability. Easy to use. Solid construction. I get just the right amount of grit on the clean channel. You can add additional pedals after this for any sounds you desire. I bought the standard pedal which works out very well for me. There is the Paul Gilbert version as well for those looking for more edge. I think anyone would be very impressed with this purchase based on tone and pricing. Enjoy.

Worth every penny for a single coil Strat, Not worth a wooden nickel for high output humbuckers

By George Lester from LEBANON, OR on March 3, 2022 Music Background: 50 plus year guitar player and some keys/piano & harmonica

Yup, sounds golden with my plain ol' single coils on the Fender Strat. Totally unusable with my HH Fender Tele with high output Seymour Duncan pickups. On the humbuckers, the only way I can imagine to describe it would be it's like an Elephant with really bad loud gas in your face. Every other pedal I own (over 20) sound fine with either guitar, but not this one. The good - no to low hiss depending on the amount of grit, cleans up fantastic with the volume knob turned down, great for playing R&B/Blues style, stays in overdrive territory *Strat only*, pretty good sustain, wide range of sweet settings with the knobs *again, Strat only*, works pretty good with a coil spliting humbucker in split mode. It actually makes the rather drab sounding coil split Fender pickup sound fairly decent. Somewhat of a Magic Bullet for that Fender PUP. The bad, very subtle adjustment with bass and treble knobs, weighted pretty heavy on bass to the point to where I don't even use the switch in the 'up' position. All this is my experience, of course depending on your setup, your milage may vary.

The best OD I’ve ever played through

By Danny from VA on December 7, 2018

....No ! I"m not kidding . I"ve been playing guitar for 39 years and have played through almost every kind of overdrive pedal out there , The Mojo has the most amp / tube like sound in my opinion . It"s very quiet and really easy to dial in what you need from it . It"s very sturdy and can take some stage abuse . All of the controls have a nice range from min to max and the voice switch is a great feature . I keep mine in the up position which adds just the right amount of a mid boost that fills the tone out more....not muddying it up . I have also discovered that this pedal is very picky about what pedals it"s connected to . Pedals that are noisy or have inferior buffers or color the signal in any way will impact the response of the Mojo Mojo. Also make sure you have good quality cables too . This pedal is very transparent and dynamic and responds exactly to how you attack it playing wise . I love it and I don"t foresee it ever coming off of my board in the long term ...You can"t pass it up ....try one !

Impressive

By Josh from VA on September 3, 2018

I got this pedal because I had a some money left over after picking up a Pro Co Rat. I wasn"t expecting much but it really impressed me. It is very dynamic and works well as a stand-alone drive or as a boost. It has lots of low end, mabey too much, but the bass knob is very good at tameing it. The switch doesn"t really seem to do anything but for the price the tone and versatility is unbeatable.

Get your Mojo Working!

By Robert Ross from MA on July 11, 2018 Music Background: Advanced amateur

This is a VERY underrated pedal. For what it is, it's ridiculously cheap. I recommend this pedal over anything Boss has out now and would only suggest a very early, Japan OD-1 as the equivalent. But you will not find one of those at this price. Though I am not a big fan of overdrives with multiple knobs and adjustments, this one is fine. There is a notable difference in the tone when rolling off/up the bass. The treble can give you a fuzz tone when cranked, yet at the mid range and slightly rolled off, it delivers a tone that is tough to beat from any overdrive at any price. The drive range is broad. I am not a big user of the toggle, though again, it offers flexibility. I probably have over 50 overdrive pedals spanning 30+ years of guitar playing and if I was stuck with only this one in a studio, I would be confident I could get the tones I wanted. Great pedal.

Mojo for a happy wallet, a happy pedalboard, and a happy you

By Vash from North Miami, FL on March 13, 2018 Music Background: 10 years Guitarist/Vocalist

Bought this for my first pedalboard.

No regrets. The price and performance speak for itself. Saw Paul Gilbert use it on a YouTube vid (granted, I'm not even a fan of his, but I know that he plays well), and I thought "hmm maybe theyre just paying him to make it look good", but I wanted to believe that TC wasn't just paying him big bucks to do that. (I also didnt want to spend money on a pedal that I could potentially feel underwhelmed with)

But-- playing is believing. This works magic with the equally-priced TC Dark Matter. Get that raw, cutting tone of driven guitars, go hard, go soft, go bass-y; whatever floats your Tone boat. For the price and sound, no complaints, no regrets. Buy it today, don't worry.

I bought the TC Flashback 2... and I actually was underwhelmed with that. Can you believe it? That's almost 4 times the price of this lol. This one is a real trooper though-- I recommend buying it with the TC Dark Matter!

Not Bad

By RLT on November 21, 2017

Not my favorite pedal, but for the price not bad. I'm mainly using it for a low gain type of breakup.
Even though I have several other more expensive overdrives, I'll be keeping this one for a little different flavor. Takes a little time to find a setting you like but well worth the time working with it!
Overall good value. I've found TC Electronics pedals to be very good products.

Just a hobbyist player, and only ever had 2 other OD's (BD-2, Bad Monkey). I like this pedal for my uses. In front of my solid state, or tube amp this does what I need. Probably the cleanest and smoothest od/distortion I've ever heard in person. Cannot tell a whole lot of difference from the voice switch, but still sounds great. Fyi this I think is a relatively transparent od.

Awesome Value!

By Wesley Carter from Morrison, TN on November 19, 2016

I wasn't expecting much, but I was willing to try it out for $. Everything else I own by TC Electronic is high quality, so I ordered it. It might not be a boutique pedal or one with a cult following, but don't let that stop you from trying it out. It makes my Fender Deluxe Reverb sound like a Rivera era Fender amp. It sounds like a cascading 12AX7 tube preamp overdrive. It doesn't change the tonal characteristic very much at all. I liked it so much I put Velcro on the back and redid my pedal board.

By HaveMercyMissPercy from ATX on March 29, 2016

I will be totally redundant, no way around it...This pedal is the real deal...awesome,cool, totally useable. I put this as second only to the Ibanez Tube Screamer, it's that good. A bold statement, indeed! Adds a warm analog sound to solid state amps; acts like a super-duper amp mod in front of a tube amp. Incredible unit. I used it in conjuction with an MXR Full Bore on my pedal board, no way to describe the butter tones I got through a simple Kustom Defender tube head. I have never actually recommended any other drive pedals, other than a Tube Screamer, but for the price...wow. Don't be the idgit that passes up on this purchase, get one. If you want a friend for life, give this as a gift!

The MojoMojo is awesome! I wanted an overdrive pedal to boost my lead channel during solos and this pedal does the job perfectly. classic overdrive

By brett benson from shavertown, PA on January 1, 2016

Overdrive is hard to rate or judge because everyone has a different opinion on what sounds good. I play a tele with a fender tube amp. The sound I get from this pedal with the dials at 12 o clock reminds me of "summer of 69" by Bryan Adams. It also gets a good john mellencamp overdrive like " hurts so good". I guess what I'm trying to say is both those tones are timeless no matter what songs your playing and this pedal sounds great.

This is a great pedal and performed better than I expected. I have an OCD and this is a great compliment to it, they work well side by side. They separate tone controls make this pedal a little more versatile. I haven't compared them while running the OCD on 18v but they're a great team at 9v. The price is great and it's built really well. I'd buy this pedal again if it were stolen or lost. (It's built so well I doubt it will ever break)

Very Good Overdrive

By Damion from WICHITA on July 7, 2015

Versatile and great price. Sounds great over a Marshall Tube Amps clean tone. Nice overdrive at low volumes. Being able to throw on more bass sets this apart from the Tubescreamers' main complaint of sucking out the bass. This pedal helped me final figure out why the Tubescreamer and there copies can be so disappointing at first. A Tubescreamer sucks out the bass tone, but if you can add that back in, it starts to sound a lot more even and full. Also, the Tubescreamers' sound a lot better with backing sounds from a band or backing track for instance. It seems that the backing tones also help even out and make a Tubescreamer sound more full. The cool thing about this MojoMojo is, not only is it a good quality overdrive to start with, but just being able to add some bass into the tone brings the quality quickly up. Of course you have amp tone controls, but this is also able to add even more bass to your amp tone. Tone chasing can be quite tricky and complex, even frustrating at times, but keep at it, and some basic tricks to better tone start to appear. One of the easier overdrives to get a good tone out of.

Keyboard Application

By Ray from Tennessee on January 2, 2013 Music Background: Classically Trained, Funky Born, Jazzy life. Lifetime musician

I play a Nord Electro 2. Having a mobile clonewheel organ is awesome! However, compared to a real hammond, it was a little thin and not gritty enough for what I wanted. The stock overdrive built in is ok, but wanted a little more grit in the line to create a more realistic and unique sound.

This little brown box brought the heat!

I had heard a lot of audio clips online and I really appreciated how it didn't take way from the low end when it was switched on.

With the tone controls dialed in, I am able to recreate the organ sound I want with out taking out the mid range. You can hear the compression that this little baby simulates too.

***This thing is a great investment and keyboardists looking for something special to add to their rig should really check out this pedal!

A real nice overdrive pedal

By Chris Cutter from far far northern California coast on December 30, 2012 Music Background: Obsessed amateur with delusions of grandeur

I bought this and a Corona chorus and a Flashback x4. The combination offers a a very sweet ability to develop a number of luscious tones that fit in well with my style of blues and rock. TC is supposed to mail me my free Spark Booster as part of a promotion. The Mojomojo can go from subtle distortion to not so subtle, but TC suggests getting other pedals if you are looking for heavy fuzz distortion. There is a bit of noise from the Mojomojo that I believe is fairly common with all overdrive pedals and anything else that offers gain. It does not go away when I use the battery, hence I am not convinced I need to buy an expensive power supply over my One Spot. I am still using my Boss ME 70 and I pug the guitar (Tele, Strat or ES 137) into the Mojomojo then the Corona, and then the Flashback and then into the Boss. It works well and I can still use the Wah and other effects in the ME 70. I have to admit that pedals are addictive but they do give me some very cool sounds.

I Bought Two of Them

By Gordon K from Oregon on December 14, 2023 Music Background: Pro singer-songwriter, composer, guitar instructor

I wanted a good overdrive pedal with separate bass and treble controls. So I bought one for my acoustic rig (so that I could add a little growl to my flat-top acoustic/electric without the low end dropping out). I liked it enough to buy a second one for my electric rig. They both sound excellent. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably buy the Paul Gilbert model for the electric rig, for a little more shimmer and transparency, but this is still a keeper. My only real complaint is that the "on" light is mounted so near the foot switch that you can't see if the light (and the pedal) is on until you take your foot away. Somebody wasn't thinking that through. Still, the pedal is an excellent value, and I'm glad I have the two of them.

Versatile Pedal

By Gordon K from Oregon on November 10, 2023 Music Background: Award-winning composer, pro guitarist and guitar instructor

Most overdrive and distortion pedals roll off some of the low end when engaged. This makes sense in a band situation, as it helps the guitar cut through the mix. But most of my gigs I work as a solo performer (with either acoustic flat-top with pickup, or semi-hollow). So I can't use a conventional drive pedal with a single tone control. Separate bass and treble controls are a must, to keep the low end intact. The Mojomojo has this critical feature, making it a versatile pedal. I gave it 4 stars (instead of 5) because the tone of the drive could have a bit more sizzle. But on the whole this is a very useful pedal at a bargain price.

Growing on me

By Larry from Portland, Maine on March 8, 2020

I bought this pedal due to all the glowing reviews, but I think I was expecting a little too much. I love all the adjustability it offers and I'm still exploring it, but can't quite seem to get the "go to" sound I am looking for without a lot of fussing. The pedal is an extremely warm drive sound overall. I'm putting a PRS and a Strat Plus through it into a clean amp, so I've tried humbuckers and single coils. It seems to pair better with the single coils on the Strat. I just played it again prior to this review and I think you really need to experiment with it to appreciate it (and I am not afraid of adjusting things ten ways til Tuesday), as it just sounded so good that I added half a star. You really need to dial it in to the specific guitar and pickup selection. The pedal seems very well made, my first TC. If I could change something, I would have them re-center the Bass and Treble controls, as I tend to back the bass way off and crank the treble just to get normal tone. I will say this pedal works very well as a boost in front of my beloved 20+ yr old Proco Rat, for extra edge and sustain. The Rat to me is still the affordable king of OD/distortion for all guitars and it seems like you can find your sound in 3 seconds of adjustment, so maybe I am setting the bar too high. I also just bought a highly rated Wampler pedal, and that too did not measure up to the good ol' Rat. I actually like the TC better than the more expensive Wampler (Sovereign).

My new favorite

By Tim Ottinger from Illinois on November 22, 2016

I'm not a total nut for overdrive, but I like a little crunch (or maybe a lot) to accent bits and pieces of my playing for church, because we go a little harder than some congregations.

For blues/rock Mojomojo does a great job. Very responsive to the volume knob on the guitar, easy to dial in the right bass/treble mix, plenty of drive on tap for what I do.

Running it into a Digitech Hardwire distortion (crunch or saturation mode) will give you rather Satriani-esque smooth distortion which is good for solos and instrumental lead breaks.

I go between p90s, single-coil, and humbucking pickups (sometimes without changing out the guitar!) and it seems to really light up the sound of the p90s.

But mostly, for giving some oomph and crunch to the rhythm line behind vocals, reinforcing the acoustic player, or standing out from the drums and bass when needed, it's a good find.

Much better than expected

By bdog1776 from Madison, AL on August 20, 2016 Music Background: Rock, country, CCM, classical, pop

I received my mojo mojo today, and I have to say I'm impressed. I was expected a good pedal, but it is much more quality than the $50 price tag. The active EQ is very useful. The sound is really more towards the power tube distortion growl, but for a crunch sound this is great. I'm using a mildly overdriven tone out of it, with the lows at 10 o'clock, highs at 2 o'clock, and gain at about 2 o'clock. Good blues sound and responds well to dynamic playing. I can definitely recommend the mojo mojo, since it has such a versatile EQ making good sounds easy to get. Thanks sweetwater and Jim Watson.

TC Mojo O'drive

For the money, can't beat it!

Good little drive, but not for everyone.

By Matthew Hurst from Ephrata, PA on May 20, 2016 Music Background: Worship Leader, church musician

I picked up this little guy in hopes of replacing the drive on my multi FX pedal. And while it certainly does that, it took me a long time to dial in a tone that I really liked. Just like tc electronic's video says, this thing is designed to have a LOT of bass response, and they aren't joking. This thing is SUPER bass-heavy, to the point where I actually kind of hated it when I first owned it. Full chords played just sounded muddy and unpleasant.

But then I got creative and cranked the bass most of the way back, and the treble most of the way up, and suddenly, I had a tone I actually liked quite a lot. The voice switch at the top can give you even MORE bass, but I can't for the life of me think why you'd ever need to use it. This drive is anything but transparent, but really does give some nice sound if you spend some time tweaking it. This drive is probably best suited for someone who wants a dark, chunky sort of sound. But if you need a budget-friendly drive option and are looking for some lighter sounds as well, this thing can do the job with some patience. Overall, great value for the money, but it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.

Closer to what I want than anything else.

By Donny Mason from USA on April 28, 2016 Music Background: Life time Guitarist

I have tried Boutique, Cheap Chinese and Vintage. Nothing gave me the 'just at the edge of breakup' I have sought. This is a well made pedal. Extremely so for the price it gives me the closest thing to low volume breakup without going into overdrive. BUT I have to back off on my heavy hand, which is a timely development after 50 years of Blues playing. The gradation on the drive potentiometer is what I have been after. About a quarter of the sweep is available to you for very low gain push. I used it last night on The Wind Cries Mary for an example of close to clean timbre. I tried it on the solo to Sultans of Swing. Very Good. I tried it without any pedals. I also nailed Back In Black. If you seek a low gain pedal this may be the one for you.

Good Value

By Oliver from Florida on January 26, 2016

In my short time playing with the Mojomojo, I have to say that I am pleased with the overdrive sounds. With the drive level below about 11 o'clock, it just seems to kind of beef up, or fatten up the sound of the guitar. From about 11 to 1, it gives a nice overdriven tone with a bit of grit/dirt. The voice switch does not seem to make a significant difference in the bass, but it is noticeable. My only criticism is that it definitely colors the tone, I find it difficult to dial out the bass, so it doesn't impact my EQ, also the treble can also get a bit ice-picky. Overall, for the cost, I think this pedal is a great value. I would buy it again.

Versatile and Interesting Pedal

By Lawrence Gillespie from Whitehorse, Canada on December 4, 2015 Music Background: Guitar, Piano, Vocals

The TC Electronic MojoMojo is a very versatile pedal. I'm not sure if it sounds good for every set up, but my Strat and Deluxe Reverb setup, it's perfect. The reason for this is that the pedal has a noticeable low-pass filter effect that works well for bright guitar/amp setups. You may not like it at all for a humbucker with a darker amp.

I actually use it for my "clean" sound, with the drive knob at nine o'clock, but I've found every drive setting, including fully dimed to be useful. Note that even at when fully overdriven, it's still not a saturated, high gain sound. I've had it for a few months as a tone shaper in front of my amp, and it's fairly transparent - whether on or bypassed, it does exactly what I want it to do: give a slight bit of dirt, and boost or cut highs or lows, but it still sounds like my guitar and amp.

TC Electronic MojoMojo Overdrive

This is a great little pedal that gets the job done. I love the design! Solid knobs, a smooth footswitch, and a simple one screw battery compartment make this pedal a joy to use. A solid bargain for only $49.99!

Mojo-rific!

By Frobie from Findlay, OH on October 9, 2015 Music Background: Active Gigging Bassist, Live Sound Engineer

I received this pedal today to use exclusively in my bass pedalboard in hopes that it would sound warm and tubey without coloring too much of my tone. I normally play through my Sans-Amp but sometimes I want a different sounding overdrive and I just haven't ever really found it. This really is the sound I have been looking for! It is definitely an overdrive tone, not really a distortion- very much like a tube amp driven hard. I also use a Bass Big Muff Pi but it's just fuzz/distortion and sometimes it's over-the-top. What really is interesting is running the Mojomojo in front of the Big Muff. Great, rich, warm, mayhem! Exactly what I wanted to hear. The Mojomojo is very responsive to how hard or soft I play and that's really cool, too. Very well made, nice switch, and very transparent. I LOVE IT!

Can't Go Wrong with TC Electronic

By James Couts from Canton, Ohio on April 23, 2013 Music Background: musical hobbyist

My position has always been "If you need a distortion pedel, then you probably bought the wrong amp...". Needless to say, this is the only overdrive in my collection.

I bought it because a buddy recently let me borrow his 1968 Fender Super Reverb for a classic rock gig. The Super has tone to die for, but no gain structure. The MojoMojo perfectly complimented the natural tones of the Super and let me push it anywhere from "slight breakup" to full-on Crazy Horse saturation. Afterwards, I received several compliments on my tone.

This is the fourth TC Electronic pedal (Flashback, Hall of Fame, Polytune) in my collection and I'm very happy with them all.

A lot of tone for the price!

By Carl from New york on February 14, 2024 Music Background: Gigging, recoding.

You can spend more but not necessarily get better tone. I wanted that vintage jcm800 tone, looked at a number of pricey pedals but this one works just fine without breaking the bank. Nice it has bass and treble and the mini switch, very versatile!

Nice surprise

By dvaoa from Marlborough, MA on April 3, 2018

Good, solid OD pedal, much more transparent than I was anticipating, good pick dynamics and cleans up well by rolling back the guitar's volume knob. Active tone controls a plus. No real character of its own, but that's par for the course for a transparent OD. Well done.

Always colored

By Carlos from Miami on June 23, 2018 Music Background: Experienced guitar player.

This overdrive is quite good, but it is fat and cannot be set from a transparent tone to a colored tone.
Bass needs to be almost zero and it is still fat.
It has a market for people that likes this tone, but for me it is a huge limitation.

It's what you paid for

By Anthony on April 12, 2018

This was my first guitar pedals ever. It was a gift and in my opinion it's just a little too dark for me. The only tones I can get that I like is when I roll the bass knob all the way back and keep the treble in the middle. And even then it's difficult to find a tone I like and can keep on with this pedal. Also it seems as though Dynamics don't come through very well on this pedal, no matter how soft or hard I play. It does however work well as a bass booster for a lead solo. But if I'm playing chords the lower notes are just too muddy. For the same price I would recommend getting an sd-1 the drive is a lot more transparent and you can make it a lot brighter then this pedal. I still use both I just use the sd-1 more often because it's more diverse

Cheap sounding distortion

By Adam on March 8, 2024 Music Background: Guitarist/ audio engineer

I had higher hopes coming from TC Electronic,, but the drive on this pedal sounds really cheap, reminds of the orange boss distortion pedal I had in middle school lol,,,not terrible if you keep drive wayy down and use it as a slight boost but overall a pretty bad sounding overdrive pedal.

I wanted to like it

By Chris from Massachusettes on February 13, 2022

It is well built, but sounded loose and muddy.
No matter how I tried it, as a boost or stacked with other dirt pedals, it just didn't sound good.
I kept it, in case they become desirable in the future...

Sounded like its cost

By David from California on September 8, 2018 Music Background: Singer/Songwriter, Church musician, recording hobbyist

So, I don't think this pedal is objectively bad; I just think it's no better than its price. It's nothing special, and I couldn't get a lot of the classic rock tones from it after a couple hours of messing with it (Fender American Pro Tele through a Fender DeVille and then an Orange combo). A-B'd it with a TC Dark Matter and had the same problem with that pedal. These pedals are entry level. Honestly, I like my Boss DS-1 better for the price. They lacked grit and true crunch, then when the gain was turned up, there was this weird "space" between the waves of breakup/distortion, almost more like tremolo was being added to the distortion. TO give the benefit of the doubt, these are German engineered, so maybe the Germans enjoy their OD/D this way; but these aren't the greatest for classic American rock/blues.

TC MojoMojo for bass

By Andrew from Arlington, MA on April 18, 2017

II am using my Gretsch Junior Jet II bass (thank you, Sweetwater) and have been on a quest for a really particular thing, pedals that will come near to my Marshall Blues Breaker pedal's sounds. That's the 1990's big square tank in black--painted metal with the blue graphics. It has little actual volume boost power, won't achieve "unity" with the input until the volume dial's been turned most of its way, but the clarity and tearing sheets sound of its overdrive are lovely. It does not seem to have a 'warm' or emphasized midrange, but is balanced and neutral. Most of the overdrive pedals I tried have a midrange boomp or buzz that I dislike and which cannot be eliminated with tone controls. Most also add a significant overlay of chipper, chatter, or snappy plastic sounds at each note strike. This may be because my bass pulls stresses these elements of the overall sound and that with a guitar they'd be part of the overall distortion sound. Anyway, I dislike the chatter and most pedals produce it. The Blues Breaker seems to have less of this. Because I am using a short scale bass, there is perhaps NO fair comparison with what any pedal I've tried will do with guitar. I had high expectations for the TC, based on the excellent company demo (guy in the baseball cap), but with bass it was unimpressive. It took me very little time to decide to pass it along.

Keep Looking Guys...

By Sweetwater Customer on March 19, 2018 Music Background: Semi Pro

I had high hopes for this coming from TC Electronics...but I couldn't get a decent tone no matter how hard I tried. I have all top gear and am a working musician, so I just don't have room on my board for a pedal that does not cut the mustard.. This this is buzzy, fuzzy & fake sounding. Sure, it's cheap in price, and that should have been a tip off. You win some & you lose some. I lost with this pedal.

Waste of money

By Mike D from Ocean Springs, MS on September 13, 2016

Don't bother with this pedal, it's too bassy. I really don't understand the rave reviews. I've put it away for a few weeks and then tried it out again, with the same result.

I tried to love it but....

By Sweetwater Customer on March 14, 2016

I love the tone quality, but the bottom end is floppy. I keep digging it out occasionally to see if there is something I'm missing, but it keeps getting pulled back off the board. Maybe tomorrow I'll try it again.
