Jackson Misha USA HT6 Laguna Burst
Well, this. This is a beast of a guitar. Easily one of the smoothest guitars I've ever played, let alone owned. The color is beautiful, the feel is solid, and the sound is butter. Whether it's ambient cleans or crushing distortion, this guitar sings. The action and neck bow are easy enough to adjust, fine tuning can take as little as a minute, and full string changes can be done reliably in a matter of minutes. This is quite possibly the greatest guitar I've ever had the pleasure of having in my hands, let alone own. The only way it could be better would be if it were at a more fair price point. I think $ for this is a bit of an overreach. I snagged a demo, but I think the guitar brand new is worth about $. That said, I would absolutely drop another $ for a second one of these to have two absolute monsters in my arsenal. I am stunned and in love with this shred machine!!
Shout out to Duffy, absolutely incredible sales engineer!!!
Overall incredible guitar for modern metal, but…
This guitar overall is great. If you are a periphery fan, you are gonna like it. It gives you that periphery tone pretty quick with any modern metal plug-in. I even used free ones and got a great tone quick. The tone is very balanced, thick but not muddy, articulate and bright but not overly harsh and the cleans sound amazing. The guitar looks fantastic, looks classic yet aggressive. My only complaint is that since these started being made in the custom shop couple years ago, the qc is kind of crappy for a 5k instrument. They have some tool marks around the neck and body, including scratches on the horn. I thought the guys at the custom shop will make them better but is quite the opposite. If you expect it to be completely perfect, it will not be. On the other hand I'm really thankful for the customer service at sweetwater. These guys couldn't have done it better helping to get this guitar.
