On-Stage MS7701TB Telescoping Euro Boom Mic Stand
On-Stage MS7701TB Telescoping Euro Boom Mic Stand Reviews
This mic stand, the On-Stage Stands MS7701TB, does just what you need it to - it lets you easily position your mics right where you want, then holds them securely in place. Better yet, the MS7701TB features a bevy of up-down, and back-forth telescoping adjustments, so you can adjust it from 36"-63" tall and slide its arm anywhere between 19" and 33", letting you place your microphones accurately. Need to travel? No worries. The boom arm can easily be removed, and the whole stand folds flat. The On-Stage Stands MS7701TB mic stand is essential gear.
Mic Stand
The stand is ok. I buy from Sweetwater because I like working with Tyler
Both the mic stand and the 30' cable were received in a timely manner, put in place and are working great. Thank you Ryan and Sweetwater for always providing great service!
Functioning as it should
My old boom mic stand with a counterweight finally died after years of faithful service. On stage has always been a good brand in my experience so I picked this one up, plus a counterweight. So far everything is functioning just fine and as expected.
No microphone clip
Nice, well built stand. It does not come with the unbreakable microphone clip, the thing you slip the mic into. I have purchased other stands that come with this piece. Just be aware of that. But it is a good quality stand.
boom stand
so much easier to get the best position than using a traditional
upright stand. i switch alot from singing to playing Flugelhorn and would hit the upright before. Now it's clear sailing
Gibson Les Paul 60's
Just what I wanted , great guitar Gibson Les Paul 60's
Decent stand for the money. My favorite
I have four of these and I like them. One problem that you need to know about is that the plastic knobs on the tightening lever are too weak to last but you can get 1/4" #20 bolts, about 4" long with a lock nut. I get those and spray paint them black. The other thing to be aware of is that once you put a mic on and extend the arms, the stand may tip over if you bump it or extend it too far. You just have to be careful when setting up. Despite these two issues, I like these stands for their relatively low cost and their easy fold up and transport. I prefer not to use heavier more expensive stands for our five piece band, gigging about 40 gigs each year.
Boom mic stand
The mic stand is unbelievable, feels like pro equipment. The shipping is unbeatable. Sweetwater is the best hands down.
Sturdy!
I got it in an SM58 bundle thinking it couldn't hurt to have extra stands and now it's my main stand.
Telescoping Boom Stand
Love my new Telescoping Boom Stand and all my new gear I've ordered from Sweetwater! Cody has been so helpful with making sure I order the right gear for my kit! He always responds right away when I need something or have any questions about any products I give him 5 Stars!
Looking forward to ordering much more gear very soon!
Thanks Sweetwater you guys Rock!
Best stand on the market
we have dragged these stands to hell and back and they still work like new. from place to place time after time.
Parts great, execution lacking
Great Mic Stand
Works well. Great purchase.
Stand By Me
A great stand at a good price. Got tired of settling for cheapo mic stands that bend, break, fall over if you sneeze, etc. The telescoping feature is great. Recommend
Very Sturdy Build
This is my first mic stand. It is built very well. My application is home use as I am not a gigging musician.
Assembly is simple...the only concern I had was connecting the boom to the mic stand itself. As another reviewer noted, it is very easy to cross thread the boom to the stand. One way to eliminate this potential problem is to disconnect the boom from the boom pivot, screw the pivot onto the mic stand, and then re-attach the boom to the pivot.
My only concern going forward: I can see where, for a heavy mic, the angle the boom makes with the mic stand might slip and be hard to set. I'll see as I use it more.
It works, if you can’t afford nicer quality.
This came in a bundle I purchased. The stand was difficult to screw together. Every time I take it apart, or swap out my microphone holder, the screw mount loses lots of metal shavings. That type of metal should not be used for screws.
The boom arm took longer to adjust than my K&M stand, but I ended up working fine to hold mics. If this is all you can afford, it works. I recommend using it where you can leave it up, and won't need to take it apart often.
Excellant Mic stand
It is much sturdier than I expected for the price range. It came all together in the box and ready to go. I connected my Rode NT1 Microphone and was up and running. I have not had any problem with it trying to tip over, it has a perfect footprint to handle an extended boom. I am quite happy and would recommend this mic stand.
On stage stand
its a good stand but with the AKG P220 the weight of the mic will cause it to fall over, unless its the mic, is over a foot stand. Not good when moving from side to side. I now us a weight on the leg so it won't fall from any position.
stripped knob right out of the box
I bought a few of these last year, and today I finally opened up the box for the remaining one. The knob closest to the mic is stripped and I JUST took this out of the box...haven't even used it yet. .... I'll probably search for a better model in the future. I do like the fact that this one is lighter to carry to gigs, though. That's why this one WAS my favorite.
These are working out just fine
I needed a couple of mic stands to hold some SE V7 mics in my studio. These stands are really nice. I’m not sure why some people are having quality issues other than actually trying to defy gravity and balance. As long as you don’t try to shape these boom mic stands like an ‘L’, you’ll be fine. Make sure you provide reasonable balance. As of the time of this review, Sweetwater has the best price for these mic stands. I recommend these for the podcaster and the music minimalist. I can’t speak on the reliability of these with reflection filters and anything else attached to them. But, if you want some good tripod mic stands, these have a pretty solid build that will last.
Good mic stand
Good quailty stand at a great price
Love it
Exactly what I was looking for. Was so tired of my guitar bumping my straight up and down mic stand. This one is sturdy yet portable and easy to set up. Perfect!
Poor wuality
Received this item last week. Very light weigh and not road worthy for a weekend rock band. . The tightening handle fell apart as well. Even though it"s in the 20 dollar range I expected more from the on stage brand. Not going to bother to return it, not with the hassle....
Exactly what I was looking for...
This mic stand fit my needs perfectly. It's sturdy and adjustable enough to fit my studio needs perfectly, but instead of being limited by a desktop stand, the MS7701B will also be great on stage. The price is good but I got it on sale which is great. Another fantastic transaction with Sweetwater accompanied by a helpful service call and a sweet bag of candy. Thanks again!
Very Satisfied!
Very much meets my needs. Sturdy and stable. Very reliable!
Horrible and Frustrating
Are you mechanically oriented? This stand might work for you. For people like me that expected it to screw together easily, a frustrating and defeating experience. I tried for about an hour then threw it in the garbage. How does it go together? Seems like it should be self-explanatory, but nope Oh, maybe they included instructions....nope.
ms7701tb mic stand
This stand is ok for home use, but its really TOO flimsy for gig work it falls over easily....should have spend the extra money.
On stage stand telescoping euro boom
Sturdy well balance with enough heft to not tip over when drunken fans bump into trying to get me to play requests!
Really a great all purpose stand
Very well made, light weight and reasonably priced adjustable microphone stand.
Solid
Nice and solid feeling. Great for home use, but doesn't feel like cheap gear.
Pleasantly surprised!
I didn't have very high expectations for these stands, being the cheapest ones available of their kind on Sweetwater's website. I was pleasantly surprised when I received them! The finish is great, the metal is very solid and sturdy. And, most importantly, the moving parts are well designed. They lock well, and the boom arm does not fall once you set it tightly!
Solid, dependable stand
Well-built, handles road bumps well. Very solid and dependable.
Solid stand light duty applications.
Good stand for the money. Very happy with it.
Versatile Mic Stand
Really nice at great price!
the best mic stand
Easy to assemble and sturdy, just great!
Just Okay
This stand is ok, but you have to be careful with it. Threading the boom to the stand is tricky, it tries to cross thread very easy, and you have to make sure that the boom when extended is in line with one of the legs, otherwise it wants to tip over.
"Stand"ing Ovation
Excellent price, excellent service and just what I needed. The stand is sturdy with wide set legs to decrease wobble. It's lightweight and collapses easily to a very stowable size. Black coating on all parts looks good. Thanks Sweetwater for a "sweet" deal.
perfect
Perfect and low price.
cheap....
really cheap....poor performance....fitting on the end of the boom is crimped but spins anyhow....mic will not stay where it belongs...
Great for the price
For the price this stand is just fine.. Actually I bought one of the heavy duty stands at the same time. Because it is a bit lighter in weight I take it with when I go out and play
MS7701TB
The stand works perfectly for my needs--at a lecturn. It's light, but sturdy and the folding legs make storage very easy. I would recommend this product to others.
Great Stand, Greater Price
As always Sweetwater provides great products and super prices. They've done it again with some really good mic stands. These worked as well as their top name brand counterparts. I would definately buy these again.
I can only rate it as fair....not strong
Fair at best......not heavy duty. Got me through a party and I will use it for practice.
Gets the job done!
I really like this stand. Sure it's not a $400 stand but it's solid enough for my home sound studio and it's a breeze to use.
Great bang for the buck
Lightweight but strong, and a proper mount for our SM-58s. Adjustable height and boom length provided plenty of options for our sit-down players and stand-up blues vocalists. On-Stage is a solid brand and I would recommend this product.
Mic stand stands
Lightweight but typical stand. Good for studio work. Functions fine.
Great Value
This is a great deal for the money. The boom tightening mechanism seems as though it will hold very well and I prefer the telescoping ability. The base legs have a solid click when opened up so moving the stand isn't any problem (my old stand legs would fold closed and could not be tightened). The only complaint is the stand height adjustment takes a lot of turns to loosen/secure it. Hopefully the black finish will hold up - if not out comes the black spray paint can!
Great for the price.
This mice stand is okay for our use. We don't have a lot of activity so it is sturdy enough for us. Had to do some adjustments - tighten things up etc but it is good for us.
Nice Stand
Great stand for my HH mike! Sturdy and perfect hight!
Excellent service and quality
For his extructura, their hardware is good quality, as well as their presence and convenience in handling, about the price, you can not ask for more, no doubt we are witnessing a great microphone stand.
Great Stand
I really like this stand. I am liking the telescoping boom and the whole thing is built sturdy. I will likely replace all my boom stands to the On-Stage brand. Highly recommend this stand.
nice mic stand
I'm a drummer vocalist and this mic stand is great for tight places. I added a short goose neck to it and set it right behind my right shoulder. keeps it up tight and out of the way.
It was broke
it came via Fedex. And the very end of the stand, the part that you screw the mic clip to, came undone. It's under engineered, but it's a great price when it comes intact.
mic stand with boom
really good for an inexpensive piece of equipment.
Good, but not great.
I bought several of these for a church that does set up and tear down every week. They have served us well for a couple of years; I have only 2 complaints. 1) the screw to adjust the boom arm is not well-designed. It's too small, giving you no mechanical advantage when tightening or loosening. I have other stands with larger plastic knobs that are easier to grip and use.
2) After 2 years, they are starting to fall apart. Out of 6 stands, 2 are in trouble: one of the boom arm thumb screws has been stripped; another is detaching/coming apart where the tripod attaches to the stand.
I would have hoped to get more than 2 years of use out of these.
Pretty awesome for this price!!!!
I just love it. It's very strong and useful. And this is my first time for me to shopping with sweetwater. I love it!!!!!!!
