Incredible

By Dan from VA on March 3, 2023

I never write reviews, however I felt compelled to after getting my hands on this work of art. I've played guitar for 31 years now, and have owned a lot of guitars over the years, including several strats and les pauls. I have recently been playing a PRS Zack Myers for a few years, but tuning issues had me looking for my next guitar. I'm not rich, but am stable enough to splurge on what I hoped to be my "forever" guitar. The Majesty is it. The moment I played my first lick, I knew this thing was special. So smooth, so good. I've had it two weeks now, and can honestly say this is the best guitar I've ever picked up.

The pickups are a bit hot and will pick up EVERYTHING, but it allows me to play with more gentle touch and still get great tone. I play through both a Fender Super 112 and a Boss Katana Artist MKII depending on my mood. Usually the Fender gets more time, but the Majesty through the Katana is a great match.

The variety of pickup options is crazy. This guitar can and will do any tone you want. I've found the blending of Piezo with the humbuckers reveals a tonal complexity I didn't know I was missing. I almost always have a little piezo mixed in to my sound now. So rich, so full, so good.

The electronics on this thing might turn some people off - it will not make a sound without batteries. Also, the circuitry is a lot more complicated than your old 50's tech found in most guitars, so it might be more difficult to find someone to repair, but I'll cross that bridge if/when it ever comes up.

I've heard that when we go to a restaurant, we "eat" with our eyes first. Presentation on the plate influences our perception of how the food will taste, and we will naturally be biased towards that expectation. I think the same is true of guitars. When we see someone holding a strat or a les paul, we expect them to sound a certain way, and are biased towards hearing it that way. Remove the confirmation bias holding you and your guitar playing back and embrace the modern improvements this guitar brings to the stale world of guitar design. You will not regret it.
