All I have to say is that if you have the money to buy this set then go for it. (Don't finance instruments.. that's a stupid idea.) The shells sound great and have a very rich tone with a pleasant punch. For the price you pay you definitely are't scoring a deal as it doesn't come with any stands or cymbals, but if you have money then its worth it because it's just nice to flex on other musicians when they come into your studio and know exactly what you paid for it. These shells do a phenomenal job when it comes to tuning and it the reason why I made this purchase to begin with. They have also been an investment to my band as we tour for the next six months playing four times a month with a monthly revenue of $. So yea... the drums pay for themselves.Cheers.
