What resulted is the Darkglass Microtubes Infinity, an all-in-one stompbox that’s a versatile preamp/DI, a multi-voiced distortion pedal, a compressor, a tuner, a USB interface, a silent practice rig, and more! With three footswitches, six touch EQ sliders, preset options, and formidable I/O, the Darkglass Microtubes Infinity offers endless tonal possibilities, all rendered in immaculate Darkglass hi-fi that Sweetwater bassists have grown to love. Holy cow

By Eli
Music Background: Amateur

I picked this up direct from Darkglass, not from here, but I can't leave reviews there, so here it goes. Absolutely amazing. The tones that you can get out of this thing are killer. The controls are super intuitive, the default IRs are great, the combinations are endless. Really, really high quality stuff here. Absolutely worth the price.

Awesome Pedal

By Roland from Florida
Music Background: Bass player since 90's

I bought this because I have been wanting a Darkglass amp for a while and I couldn't decide. With this pedal, I can get Darkglass sound from all my gear. I can plug it in to my DAW, my combo, my PA and get great Bass tone. With the multiple inputs and outputs and routing options, you can use this like a quad for silent stages. I put an XLR wireless IEM transmitter into the DI or headphone out and monitor directly from there. It is very versatile. The Darkglass suite is not the simplest thing to learn but if you give it a solid afternoon, you can get it dialed in. After that, making changes to the presets and swapping out different community sounds is easy.

I may still end up with an amp from Darkglass but I will keep this anyways. I like that it can turn everything into Darkglass...and then after I buy this, they release the Anagram! I am back at square one! :)

Didn’t no my bass could sound so good

By Sweetwater Customer
Music Background: Novice

I have really enjoyed the tone changes this creates. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to figure out the controls since I don't have that much experience with this type of gear. This is not the case I was able to quickly dial in a tone that I love. The preset tones are fun to play with but I have yet to find one that I like as much as I got from just playing around with it.

One stop shop

By Richard from Dallas
Music Background: Gigging bassist

I've been using this on gigs for the past year, now I'm traveling with it as my stand alone pedal for my tone, and plan on it being my main/only pedal on our upcoming tour. Absolutely great tones, and easy to use. The phone app also makes it super easy to download presets from other users and dial everything in.

Darkglass is the ultimate brand of pedals for Bass!

By Sweetwater Customer

I was going to pick the ADAM or Infinity, but after hours of listening to videos on the two, I decided to go with the Infinity. Great pedal that is a swiss army knife and fills a lot of rolls.

Can't beat Darkglass

By Andy from Pittsburgh, PA
Music Background: Gigging musician

There's no better out there! Darkglass is top of the line of bass products. So versatile, you can literally get any sound you want. I used a B7k + B3K for years and the second I saw the Infinity announced I orded it! I have never been more pleased with a product. It does everything I need plus more. My ONLY gripe and its honestly not even that big of a deal for me is the touch sliders can be a little tempermental and unresponsive. (which seems to be common with these) I dont really adjust too much anyways so once I had it set I just saved it and let it go. Other than that 110% satisified

Fantastic Pedal

By Joe from Iowa
Music Background: Rock bass player

Bought this with the hope to condense my board. It had definitely done that and sounds great! For my preamp it replaced Sansamp BBDI II, which is a great pedal but this does so much more. Also replaced my DG Alpha Omnicron and SpectraComp. I only kept my Boss tuner because I like the display better. As far as the pedal goes, it has so many options that can be overwhelming but after some tinkering is pretty easy. The suite app is super easy to use as well. Having multiple pedal, compression, and cab options allow you to get a clean vintage tone to a gnarly distortion tone and everything in between. Plus having the 3 presets(6 if you use the app) makes going through different sounds for different songs a breeze. In the end... 100% worth the purchase. Now to sell off all the other pedals!

This thing slaps

By Alejandro C. from NYC

This thing is bonkers. I knock down a star for the touch sliders. I have small hands and find that they're not responsive all the time, BUT once you get them where you want them you can save them as presets. This is my first time ever using a Darkglass product and I have to say, it did not disappoint.

One point of interest:

I think if you're a compression connoisseur/have very specific compression needs that you may want an additional compressor. I run the Empress bass compressor first at subtler settings and then have additional compression from the Microtubes Infinity.

Shout out to Jon Mosacato my sales engineer!

FIRE

By David

I owned the AO Photon before purchasing this one. I love the Photon, but something about the Vintage Microtubes just gets my brain going, so I had to get this one. In terms of compression, EQ, noise gate, and cab simming, this works exactly like the Photon. All function great, although one issue I've had is that the touch slide EQ isn't as responsive as the one on my Photon despite being exactly the same. I did purchase a demo model of the Infinity so that may be the root of the issue (which frankly is still concerning for the longevity of the touch EQ because they're not putting it through the ringer as a demo model so it shouldn't be damaged). That being said I'm still giving this 5 stars because I just love it so darn much.

A tiny friend

By A R.

This little thing is basically $1500+ in boutique Darkglass pedals PLUS a tuner pedal PLUS an audio interface PLUS a headphone amp with bluetooth PLUS an IR loader. The only thing I wish it had was an effects loop but that's not as big of a deal for most bass players.
Another thing that should be mentioned is that even though this pedal is centered around the distortion engine they did NOT miss on the clean tube preamp model. It sounds extremely high end and I'm glad it didn't get glossed over despite Darkglass being known for distortion pedals.
