Short Microphone Boom Stand with 17" to 27" Height Range and 20" to 36" Boom Extension - Black

This microphone stand is perfect for miking guitar cabinets and kick drums. The On-Stage Stands MS7411TB adjusts to a maximum of 27" tall (not including the boom) to keep its center of gravity low to the ground. So whether you're blasting air through an amp or shaking the riser with a heavy foot, this stand remains rock steady. The MS7411TB is rugged and built to last, too, with a steel frame, all-metal adjustment clutches, and die-cast zinc legs. The MS7411TB's small footprint even makes it just as useful onstage as in the studio.

Built great

By Danielle U.

I was looking for the most flexibility in a microphone stand to have the microphone in different positions for when I setup to record my amp or even my acoustic and this stand is going to work great. It's on the cheaper side and I wasn't sure about the make of it but when I got it and tried it out, it's built great, no loose parts and sturdy. Adjusting the positions has no problems and the adapter pieces for my microphones fit with no problem. I would buy this again.

Great value, surprisingly good quality

By Eric from CA

I've bought several OnStage stands in the past and they're fine: you get what you pay for. I was expecting the same with this stand but was pleasantly surprised to find that it seems to be much higher quality than the other ones I own. The build quality isn't quite as solid as my K&M stands, but at less than half the cost, it's hard to go wrong with this one. Very happy with the price-to-quality of this product. I should mention that one of the 3 stands I received seemed to have a defective parts and Sweetwater simply sent me a new one. Great product, great service!

So simple to use

By Bruce P. from DAWSONVILLE, GA
Music Background: 2 years n00b....God help me!

I bought this to use to record with a Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ from in front of the stack and for the acoustics. So simple to adjust and the mic bolted right on no issues.

Kick Drum Mic Stand for Acoustic Guitar

By Stone H. from Florida
Music Background: '70s cover band stuff . . . Starting Home Studio Recording.

I was using a regular sized boom stand for mic'ing acoustic guitar (sitting). The boom was always in the way. I can put this stand in its lowest position, and when I pull the mic(s) toward the guitar, the boom is still within the footprint of the tripod. I haven't had it long enough to rate durability, but it get 5 stars for serving its purpose.

Absolutely Awesome!

By Jeff from Missouri

What a great stand! Quality is awesome, especially at the price point. I'm not sure about the review, that says it's wobbly. I didn't have that issue. On Stage stands have always worked well in my studio. Thanks!

Handy stand

By G-Dawg from Salado, Texas
Music Background: Musician, Mixing Technician.

I"ve cut down regular mic stands to serve the same purpose, but it is always extra work. I purchased two of these stands and I am impressed with the quality. Much more substantial than the modified stands I"ve made. Great product.

A Little Wobbly

By Rick
Music Background: Studio Musician, with professional opportunities

The stand has a ring located in the center where all parts join together that once tightened still wobbles.

Decent stands for a budget rig, or fill a few spares for a pro one

By AR from West Virginia

These are basically the accompaniment to the Heavy-Duty tall stands that On-Stage makes. They"re as rugged as those stands, and they"re not a bad price either. The key differences between these and the less expensive On-Stage are this:
1. This one has a much better clutch. On the cheaper ones, the rubberized plasic wears out and they eventually get to the point where you basically have to have Superman secure them against boom arm droop.
2. These are heavier. Therefore, less likely to knock over if a guitarist gets a little too Angus Young and starts running around on a small stage.
3. Tele boom. The cheaper ones have a fixed-length arm that can be very troublesome when trying to maneuver mic placement in a confined space, such as using a mic that doesn"t clip on a drum, or on small stages where amps are stacked next to each other.
Overall, this stand is a great buy if you"re not ready or able to spend twice the money on a certain German stand. I"ve used these short ones twice on shows, and I really appreciate that they fold up so small, thanks to the telescopic boom arm. They can even be used as vocal mic stands if your singer is around 5".
