There comes a time when you just can't deal with inexpensive mic stands anymore. You know the kind, a rubber friction clutch that's herniated and a mic that drops from its perfect spot for your vocals to where you're stooping to sing. Mega annoying if you got a guitar to contend with as well.
Yep, not cheap but heavy duty, well designed and easy to use. The main clutch is lever controlled and extremely simple and feels solid, the storage design is great. My only minor concern is the mic clamp is all plastic including the clamp that attaches it to the stand, time will tell if it holds up. It's a relatively minor quibble as like everybody else, there's a ton of Shure threaded ones floating around at church/home and can be used to replace the included ones.

We have been using 3 of these for a couple of months now, they are great stands. A little pricey but we believe they are well worth it, we were getting tired of cheap stands always giving us problems so we bought these. No regrets, we 4 nights a week at many different places

Used cheap stands for years that would break and look bad. This Hercules stand is beefy, strong, very secure and looks professional. LOVE IT

I rarely write reviews, but this was worth the effort. Great stand. Design is awesome. It's so much less clunky than typical stands.

This stands feels heavy duty, well made and the squeeze clutch system is great, easy to operate up and down with one hand, no more twisting and turning trying to loosen or tighten. Also the way the boom stores inside the lower portion is genius for transporting and saving space. Best mic stand I've owned and I definitely recommend it. Used it this past weekend at a solo acoustic performance with iPad attached and a Sennheiser 835, no problems at all with it trying to tip, very sturdy tripod base

After purchasing dozens of mic stands over the past 50 some years, I think I've finally come across a stand that just might last! My wife and I play play an average of 20-30 shows a month and we easily go through 4 to 6 stands a year. And we've tried most every brand. They start sagging, or just falling apart. But these. wow! Heavy duty for sure. Pricey? Yeah, but I'm not thinking I'll be replacing these very often, if at all. Very solid. Happy camper!
