1x12", 60-watt Straight Guitar Extension Cabinet - Black

Mesa/Boogie's 1 x 12" Mini Rectifier Straight Cabinet guitar extension cabinet may look like a scaled-down half-stack cab, but this 1 x 12" enclosure gives you surprisingly big, full sound for its size (and, you don't need a van to get it to the gig). The Mini Rectifier Straight Cabinet comes stocked with a great-sounding V30 speaker that speaks with authority and works great with a range of guitar amplifiers. Plus, this cab is perfectly proportioned for mini amp heads. Plug into the Mini Rectifier Straight Cabinet and find out just how portable big-rig sound can be!

O...M...G!!!

By Damon Powell from Ellensburg, WA on September 26, 2023 Music Background: 25 years playing guitar.

Didn't realize that Mesa came out with a Mini 1x12 Cab and I instantly thought of building a portable rig with my MT15 and OMG!!! This thing rips!!! I have a Mesa 4x12 Cab, it's big brother too but this thing is so much fun to play! Are you kidding me?!?! At the end of the day this is really all I need. Thank you Mesa for doing something like this! How cool!

Excellent Mini Cab

By Sean Guitard from TAMPA, FL on August 5, 2022

First, shout out to Ken at Sweetwater who always checks up on me even if I can't answer the phone. The customer service is top notch!

This cab really brought what I was looking for. I use it as another speaker for my Mesa Mark V combo. It combines with the combos C90 speaker very well and brings me warmth and tightness, just what I wanted. This speaker is incredibly light and very high quality, but its from Mesa so that's expected. It is also LOUD! I will never have problems being heard and for live it will prove invaluable. Well Done!

Mini rectifier cabinet

By Jeff from Minnesota on April 16, 2022 Music Background: Amateur

Recently purchased this cab to compliment my Mesa mini rectifier 10-25 watt. The build and tonal quality is top of the line, and it looks like a million bucks. It's a little on the expensive side for a 1x12 cabinet, but it's a Mesa, so thats to be expected. It sounds great and was worth every penny in my opinion.

Recto can 1x12

Sounds great with a Mark V 35. Handles the "extreme" gain channel on this amp better than a lot of other speaker cabinets. Hard to beat the real celestion speakers that are actually built by celestion in the UK...like the old days.

Mini Rectifier 1x12" 60-watt Straight Extension Cabinet

Mega Mini!

I put together a mini stack using this guy and the slant version on top, along with a Quilter Tone Block 202 behind my FX processor based pedal board and it's a giant killer!

These cabs are fantastic. They're well built, look wicked and I can get all the massive tone I want at any volume from ear/practice room friendly to melt your face off.

Thanks Mesa for the awesome cabs! And thanks Sweetwater for having the best gear and the best service!

Big sound in a compact package!

By Steven Durantini from Cicero, NY on October 23, 2019

After owning all kinds of cabinets from 1x12's to 4x12's, I've finally found the right cabinet for me. I purchased the Mini-Rectifier 60W Straight 1x12 to pair with my JP-2C head and occasionally with my EVH 5150III 50W head. It's typical Mesa Boogie in that it sounds amazing, looks great, and is built to last. Now that I'm in my late 40's and can't really handle big cabs anymore, nor do I want to, this cab hits the mark with a weight of around 35 pounds. I'm not much of a combo guy, I like the tightness and percussiveness that a smaller, closed back cab provides. Of course, a bona-fide real Celestion Vintage 30 speaker is the perfect match for both my amps. I might actually get another one of these soon, I gotta believe two of these out of my 2C+ would sound simply amazing. Mesa hit it out of the park with these and their many other compact cab designs. Big sound with small form factor is the way to go! Thanks Mesa for being Mesa, and thanks Cristian Good and Sweetwater for being the best music retailers on this planet!

MESA 112 Rectifier Cab, Almost Perfect

By Benjamin Liberto from Mandeville, LA on May 25, 2023 Music Background: Mixer, Audio Engineer, Guitarist, Drummer

I just acquired a MESA Mark 5:25 head and was looking for a cab to go with it. I looked at the "Boogie" Cabs (Widebody and Thiele) but did not care for partial open back on some or the way they looked. I have Mesa Black Shadow speakers in other Mesa cabinets of mine and like them with the Mark 5:25 overall but the high gain tones we missing something. I usually love the Black Shadow speakers with my MESA Express and Stiletto amps for clean and lower gain tones. I have had a love/hate relationship with Vintage 30's, especially with all of the different variations over the years. Some sound balanced, some sound congested, some are fizzy...you get the picture. I ordered this cab knowing I would probably not like the Vintage 30 with the Mark Series amp because of its already prominent midrange. Vintage 30 speakers of most types seem to work with Rectifier circuits much better because of their accentuated lows and highs. I received the cabinet within 3 days of ordering and it was perfectly packed in the way MESA always has done. For about a month and a half I let the Mark and the 112 cab meld together as I tone-searched. I could not for the life of me dial that 3-4khz fizz out with the mark while retaining clear highs. I believe the Q on the graphic EQ sliders is rather wide and not as narrow as one would believe. I am a MASSIVE Eminence Governor fan for my other amps: Single Rectifier, BluGuitar AMP1 Iridium, Boss Katana, Hughes and Kettner's of all kinds, and Marshalls. I hooked the Mark up to one of those cabs and bam! instant amazing complex midrange with full use of each GEQ slider. There was no unwanted fizz or boomy lows, yet I could get crispy top end and tailor the midrange how I saw fit. The only thing I did notice was an abundance of low mids and maybe not as airy highs as I would have liked. I watched oodles of speaker comparison videos showcasing: V30s, K100s, Creambacks, Redbacks, Lynchbacks, and landed on one with the Eminence CV75. I have heard of this speaker and how similar to the Governor it was but never really looked into it. After some research it seemed like a Governor with more detailed high end and a dip in the low mids. Bingo! I ordered one and installed into the MESA cab and it was perfection with the Mark 5:25 and every other head I have run into it so far. I would say it's a mix of a Governor and an early Marshall Vintage (30) speaker with the feel and slight squishiness of a Greenback. This cab is incredibly well built, and has a brace on the inner rear baffle to help (I assume) keep the speakers low end projecting forwards as any good closed back cabinet should. I hope this review helps anyone else searching for their dream tone. BTW the MESA Fillmore 75 speaker is a white labelled CV75. So MESA is well aware of this greatness but does not put this fantastic speaker into as many applications as they should. Thanks Sweetwater for the great service and shipping as always, send some more candy my way!! Haha
