Best Cab EVER!!!
I needed a good cab for recording and practicing all my riffs and licks at home. This is what I've been looking for. Mesa is IT! I paired this with my favorite Marshall and now I see the reason for the price. Its top of the line gear. And the cherry on top in of course the made in UK Celestion Vintage 30. You can literally FEEL the difference. Worth every penny!

Quality in construction and sound
After several gigs of lugging my 100W head up a flight or two of stairs I decided that I needed a smaller more portable rig. After research I settle on a Mark 5:25 head and a mini rec cabinet. While it is much more portable than a 4x12 it still packs a fantastic punch. It doesn't have the low end of a 4x12 but the amount of "boom" it puts out is quite respectable. It's built really well and ive lugged it to gigs, both indoors and outdoors, and through multiple states and seasons. It still works perfect. There are a few signs of wear in the vinyl from use but it sounds fantastic. High quality speakers and cabinets are like a nice acoustic guitar. The more you use it, the better it sounds. From the solid inset carry handles to the high quality jacks on the rear patchbay, its built to last. If you are in the market for a 1x12 this should surely be a top contender.

Massive sound in the coolest small cabinet around!!
First off, I waited months to write this review and so glad I did.

I've been playing forever and owned many brand name and custom built cabinets. I bought this little 1x12 beast to use in my home studio with a Boogie Mark 5:25, Dr Z KT-45, and most recently a Friedman Runt 20. All I can say is OMG it puts out some sound! I'm typically not a fan of running Celestion V30s alone preferring to mix them with other speakers, but it REALLY works in this cabinet. At first I wasn't sure but after several hours of break-in the cabinet just came to life! Cleans are full and blossoming, crunch is in your face (it's a V30, right?), and all the bottom end you could ever want, but the unexpected bonus is decent classic rock tones I usually associate with a greenback or G12H; playing the Friedman with my GT-1000 in the 4CM and holy cow it's good. I'm currently using it at home but would have absolutely no concerns using it in any live situation, even with a loud drummer.

Overall it's just massive sound in an awesome looking, easy to transport package that comes with a cool canvas cover! What's not to love?

Again, if you aren't sure hearing it out-of-the-box definitely give it time to break-in. Definitely made a believer out of me!

Oh, and a shout-out to Jake Hersha for his patience and excellent customer service during my never-ending tone search. Thank you and the rest of the great staff at Sweetwater!
Mesa cabs really make a difference
I am now a believer - Mesa cabs do make a difference! A big one! Before having this, I was mainly using a Laney Premium GS212VR cabinet with Vintage 30s. I was very satisfied already but wondered why people on FB groups always recommended getting a Mesa cabinet with UL V30s. I thought it was just a recommendation coming from brand love but now that I have it, it really isn't. The sounds of my Boogies really opened up. Interestingly, I don't need to dial in a good amount of gain to get where I want. As for the Mini Recto, I was reliant on having an OD to boost it for it to sound and "feel great" but with the slant cab, I can even dial it to 12 noon or less and be happy. This thing is also loud! I'm so happy with the cab that I bought a standard recto 112 cab to pair with the slant.

If you're thinking of pulling the trigger, do it!
Thank goodness
I have been fighting for years to get the high pinginess out of my marshal cabinets and heads. I picked up a TA 15 and I just got this little rectifier angled amp. It's exactly the sound I've been looking for. I have a 2011 HSS silverburst strat and I just dumped in a Seymour Duncan pearly gate humbucker into it. The combination of these 3 items together is exactly the tone I've been looking for my entire life. Its even loud enough for larger venues

It's hard to imagine a more quintessentially modern guitar amplifier than a Mesa/Boogie, and when Sweetwater guitarists want high-gain tone, Mesa is where they start. One thing we love about these amps is their sheer versatility, such as the massive range of tone you get from each channel, the freedom to use the tubes you love, onboard CabClone cabinet emulation, and MIDI control. And it's not just guitar amps - Mesa/Boogie's bass amps and pedals are equally cool. What's more, thanks to our incredibly close relationship with Mesa, you can even customize your own amp right here on Sweetwater's website! Get the sound and style you want from your next amp, with a Mesa/Boogie from Sweetwater.
