Temple Audio 4-Way Jack Patch Module
Temple Audio 4-Way Jack Patch Module Reviews
Temple Audio Templeboard modules from Sweetwater make it possible to build the pedalboard of your dreams. Each module installs easily into your Templeboard's side micro or mini module slots to suit your evolving performance needs. The 4-way Patch Jack module adds 4 x 1/4" jacks to your pedal setup, which you can configure for mono, stereo, TS, or TRS operation. Mounts in the left or right mini module slot of your Templeboard.
Best Design
I have 2 Temple pedalboards and I use multiple 4-way modules. The way Temple thought out their module process is in my opinion is the best performing pedalboard you can get. There's not another board that can be set up for what you need any better. My main pedalboard utilizes 3 of the 4 jack mods. 2 gtr inputs, 3 loops (s/r) for incorporating 3 Synergy syn2's to run each one in a separate loop on my ES-8. Main L/R outs, a separate acoustic line out, (I use JP-15's) and an exp pedal input to run my volume pedal. I also use the midi jacks to control midi channels on the Synergy amps and a BOSS GT-1000 core.Having the option of the passive direct boxes built into your board, is simply genius!!
Incredibly convenient!
This little box makes cable set up so quick. Fits perfectly snug into the side panel. A practical add-on purchase if you're buying a Temple Audio board and run an effects loop. I bundled 3 same-length cables with zip ties for amp input, fx send, and fx return. Now there's just one clean path from my board to my amp!
Temple accessory
This Temple stuff is growing on me! It seems well thought out and its very nice you can buy it piece by piece so as not to cost so much right outta the gate!
Fantastic customer service!
The product is good, and really worked as I thought it would. But the real champ is Bryan at your sales department!
Great product with mounting fix.
This is a fantastic product that streamlines your cables with a clean professional look. The problem with this product along with all of their products (I imagine) is the mounting solution with the short screws. The following was my fix and it worked perfectly but proceeded at your own risk, lol. The unit's mounting plate is aluminum with aluminum ears. I took a 5/16 drill bit and countersunk the inside of the ears BY HAND, no need to to use a drill. I removed about half the original thickness from the center of the hole. I used a dab of loctite on the screw and the end result was a firm sturdy mounted accessory.
Compact and Solid Connections
Compact depth so it doesn't take up a lot of space under the board. The connections are quality and make a tight connection so accidental pull-outs are rare. It's a little pricey, but worth it.
ORGANIZE THE PEDAL BOARD
Good Piece of Equipment.
Easy to install and handy to use. Plus the red, white, and black colors look cool on my gunmetal pedal board. lol
The noisiest jack I've ever experienced.
Two reasons why this thing sucks: 1) Major parts of it are made of plastic, and because of that unshielded, and therefore it picks up noise very badly. I was tracing down why my rig had so much 60 Hz noise, and this jack ended up being the culprit. 2) The jack attaches by some very tiny - I think they are M2 - screws that thread into a very thin piece of aluminum. It hasn't broken yet, but I guarantee it will soon; the metal just isn't thick enough for more than a couple of threads.
It's really ashame, because along with the passthrough power port, this was the only reason why I bought a templeboard.
Solid!
I wanted a single input and optional outputs for my DIY pedalboard. The 4XMOD was the perfect solution. My guitar cable goes into jack #1, which starts the pedal chain, and then #4 goes straight out to my amp. I'm also using #3 to run a cable out to the foot switch port on my amp. I had a friend 3D print a mounting plate for the 4XMOD plus a USB-C (micro) coupler. The rest of the board is pretty rough, so this is easily the most professional-looking part of the entire project. :) A super clean, quiet, no-nonsense component for a (slightly) non-traditional application. Highly recommend!
Handy Piece
Adds easy access to my Temple 28" 3 tall for stereo sends and in and out for Drive daughter board.
You need this!
This is another piece of the puzzle that makes temple audio boards so awesome! If you're looking for a high quality, diy pedal board, is it! The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. I'm using the four cord set up. Guitar in and through a wah wah, compressor, overdrive/boost,SD-1,volume pedal and then out to the amp. The second set of in/out is send and return for my chorus and delay pedals
Just another cool accessory for the temple audio board
This was easy to install and understand. I use the first input from my guitar and then the signal goes through a crybaby wah, compressor,full-drive 2,ds-1,and a volume pedal and then out to the front of my amp. The second input and output are the send and return of my amp. I have a super chorus and a reverb pedal in that loop.
Temple Jack Patch Module
This helps the setup of all the pedals.
Great product.
Makes plugging in easy
No brainer if you have effects/volume pedal(s)
Great addition to my temple audio board
This unit organizes my cables and looks great doing it! I have my guitar in, through a crybaby wah, compressor, overdrives, and a volume pedal and then out to the front of my amplifier. The second set of in/outs I use as send and return to my amps effects loop.
Clean. Simple.
This works as expected, but truly shines within the Temple Audio pedalboard ecosystem as it slots directly into the board keeping routing so clean. The writeable label boxes are a nice touch, if a bit small. The type of jack nuts they use are a good choice as it is possible to find them in different of colors to make cable routing even easier. I just wish the unit shipped with spares in different colors.
The device you never knew you needed!!
This is by FAR the best system for a floorboard for me. I use 2 of the 4-way jack plates to run different routings including L & R main out, FX loops,
amp control etc. I have the Temple duo 24 and if I ever need more space on a pedalboard, it will definitely be a Temple loaded with their modules!!
Easy to install, Easy to Use, no major issues.
The mounting screws are pretty short, so that's an area for modification/improvement but in general it does what it says on the box and if you use the four cable method reliably this is going to make life a lot easier for you overall.
Go read the manual to see expanded functionality
This is more than just a 1 to 1 patch bay. The normalization of jacks with TS and TRS cables provides so much more value. I have this for my HX Stomp XL where two of the jacks receive mono signals from the main L/R outputs (from the thru of the DI box). The other two I have to TRS to TS splitter adapters patched in and connected the two rings to each other. FX send from Stomp goes to some pedals for side chain effects, to separate DI/LI box and thru, to one tip connection which will loop back to the rings back out to the other tip connection which returns into the Stomp FX return. Get a lot of flexibility to either side chain, DI/LI out, use 4CM, or audition external pedals without having to repatch. Just turn on pedals or plug in proper cables for desired outcome.
Temple Audio
Great addition to Temple board to allow for easy input and output management. Great fit and sound.
Must have for Temple boards
I really think Temple should include these and the Power jack attachment on all boards but I realize not everyone has the same devices. In my case, I was connecting the 3 1/4" inches directly into pedals for the effects loop and front of amp input. The 2 pedals needed for connection were close and getting in off was cumbersome. So now it connects easily and looks more professional, plus I used colored tape to simplify.
Too much generated noise
Got tired of swapping pedals and rerouting power and signal lines so i took the time to methodically isolate one component at a time....finding this simple device was causing my noise issues certainly surprised me....will be looking for a buffered albeit more expensive solution
Noise problems in the jacks
I take the jacks out of the line and noise goes away, so its pretty well isolated to the unit.
Good board addition but overpriced
Very cool addition to a Temple Audio board for cable control. Looks and fits very good, decent quality. These should be included on every board sold. The price is ridiculous. I would buy again - just plan on the added expense. I really like my Duo 24 board and the add-on modules are excellent.
Great addition to my Temple-43
Makes input and output signal chain cleaner looking on your board setup. Guitar in, out to amp.
Nice product but over-priced
This is a very nice add on if you have a Temple pedalboard. The jacks and housing are plastic with a steel plate and the module mounts right on either side of the board. This is WAY over-priced at $
adds noise
Not sure why or how but it adds noise. Not a cabling issue, that was eliminated as a possibility. Seems like a simple enough device , its just a pass through connector, one jack goes on, and another connects at the back and goes out. so why the added noise? seemingly others have similar experiences.
Super helpful Once working
This is my second temple module as I got the iec module first. I first installed it and received a ton of noise, as it created a grounding issue. Sweetwater is great and sent a replacement right away, but was still having the same problem.
Turns out it was because I installed the iec module beside it. I had to tear everything apart and move the iec to the other side, then it started working just fine and is super convenient.
Simple Effective Reliable Patch Bay
Temple Audio Jack Patch Module ("Works for Me")
Patchwork works!
4 cables go in, 4 cables come out, cleans your rig up without a doubt.
This picks up noise, so it's worthless to me
Before I bought this, I was plugging directly into the first pedal of my chain, and had no noise issues. Added this, and all-of-a-sudden, there is a grounding type of noise, similar to what you'd experience on a guitar bridge without a grounding wire. Did some a/b testing, and sure enough, bypassing the module makes the noise goes away. Plug back into the module, the grounding noise is comes back. Did some research, and I guess it's a known issue. Some folks talked about work-arounds and ways to ground it. But for the price this thing costs, that's ridiculous.
Really disappointed. This makes it unusable for me.
Noise and useless
Spent over $ on temple audio board and accessories. This 4 way mod makes so much noise. What a waste.
quality wasn’t good

A very small screw keeps turning in vain. So I used toilet paper to tighten the screw very carefully. But 'sweetwater' service is the best.
Functional and Convenient Accessory for Temple Audio Pedalboards
It does what's expected
Almost a must-have for Temple Audio pedalboards. It does its job great.
Flawed product.
Jacks are unshielded so they cause noise in the signal chain. Could be eliminated with trs cables but hardly any guitar pedal in the world uses balanced outs. Pretty useless product and too expensive for what it's made of.
Very useful
Makes setting up your pedalboard much easier. Indispensable for 4-cable setup really. Highly recommend.
Temple Audio rules
This does exactly what it's supposed to and will last forever. Integrates perfectly in the Temple Audio pedalboards.
Nice
If you are building one of these pedal boards, just get this. It makes it so much easier to set up your rig at the gig.
No templeboard is complete without this!
What else can I say... It completes this board! Way cool tech!
