Thin 6-ply maple/gumwood shells
For warmth and dryness, Pearl's Masters Maple/Gum shells are crafted from six thin plies of maple and gumwood — a recipe most famously used by jazz kits from the mid-20th century. Rounded-outer 60-degree bearing edges give these drums a rounder, more classic response for a sound that is sure to withstand the test of time.
