Finally Found It

By Terry Hoffman from Kansas on January 4, 2024 Music Background: Professional Musician Singer Song Writer

I have been on a quest for the right combination for playing a harmonica while playing guitar and, to be able to sing by easily switching from vocal mic to harmonica very easily, quickly and, not have to make any adjustments. Set it and, forget it. That's my motto!
I have tried several extensions and harp holders and, microphones for about a year and, now January 1 2024 I have it!!! I was getting tired trying to play the harp and, beard, face and, vocal mic would always be in the way, very frustrating.
The combination is Harp Arm HA16 which is no longer made but, Thomann does have almost the same product Roadworx harp holder. Gator Frameworks adjustable mic extension listed here on Sweetwater. Audix Fireball harp mic.
Atlas heavy duty 3 section mic stand and, onstage mic boom with onstage counterweight for even balance. There's a lot of hardware here but, everything balances and, I can wail on the harp and, everything stays put.

Perfect extension

I was looking to mount an instrument mic to a mic stand. This adjustable boom really does the job. This is very useable in almost any situation and, even though it can expand out to 16" it still holds a mic and remains stable. Yes it does help to use a fairly stable mic stand but, if you are using a fairly light condenser mic it should work very well. As can be seen I have an Onstage 2.5 lb counterweight which really does make a difference.

Handy

I use this to add a bottom snare mic to my top snare mic stand. It's very handy, and the addition of the boom makes it really easy to position.
