Great compressor, unbeatable price!
I had a Samson Scom 4 I used before for my vocal mic. But then it broke down on me and I took it to a repair shop near me. They were gonna charge me over $300 dollars to fix. I was about to go thru with the repair but then I saw this unit... on Sweetwater. Decided to buy this one and retire the old Scom 4 for good. Im impressed with the sound and quality of the construction. Definitely a great replacement. The Scom 4 lasted me a good 5yrs. Lets see how this unit does in the long run.
only good for drums
its sound reminds me of early 2000's daytime satellite tv compression; like really fatiguing. however it works as a surprisingly transparent drum gate and limiter, just dont try to be heavy handed
