Multi-scale 7-string Electric Guitar with Basswood Body, Maple/Wenge/Maple Neck, Ebony Fingerboard, and 2 Fishman Fluence Humbuckers - Satin Orange Crush

The Jackson Pro Plus Series DK Modern HT7 MS is built for high-speed, down-tuned playing by virtue of its multi-scale 25.5-inch to 27-inch scale length. And it sounds explosive. Even before you plug it in, this 7-string electric guitar’s basswood body radiates warm, growling tones with defined mids that can cut through a busy mix of rapid-fire drums and throbbing bass. And when you do plug it in, multi-voiced Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers churn out a myriad of hard-hitting tones. This Dinky’s hyper-ergonomic design is top-shelf all the way — its graphite-reinforced, satin-finished neck and compound-radius ebony fingerboard are guaranteed to unleash the full potential of your playing. You’ll also benefit from rock-solid intonation, reliable tuning stability, and easy string changes via this guitar’s Hipshot 7- to 21-degree fixed bridge and Gotoh locking tuners. Complete with aggressive-looking black hardware and an eye-catching gloss finish, the Jackson Pro Plus Series DK Modern HT7 MS is a high-performance instrument that contemporary guitarists are sure to appreciate.

Incredible!

By Jordan Jackson from Jacksonville, FL on December 29, 2023

Hands down one of the best guitars I've ever owned. Even out of the box (after tuning) it was immaculate. I can't put it down! Amazing playablility on every string on every fret. The pickups have unparalleled articulation, even at super low end (I have mine set up for Drop F#) and sound beautiful clean as well. I had my reservations of dropping so much for a guitar but it's surpassed all expectations. Jackson may very well be the new leading name in extended range guitars.

Plays Amazingly

By Sweetwater Customer on January 3, 2024

On first impression, I planned on giving this guitar a poor review. Out of the box I noticed quality issues that shouldn't be present on a guitar at this price, including; fibers under the paint you can see and feel, overspray of clear coat on the head, sharp over-mold on the selector switch, seriously laughable "gig bag", more like cardboard wrapped in polyester, lol, totally useless. I wasn't impressed with the fretwork either. The frets are good, yes, but at this price, I expected even more refinement.

Then, once I started playing it, all of my complaints became superficial and downright forgettable. It makes me want to keep playing and playing... and playing. I mean, I'm finding it hard to put down. I play Prestige Ibanez's, PRS and Strandberg guitars and cannot believe how quickly this jumped to my top favorites. Do yourself a favor and go in with an open mind on the QC, budget for a hard case which it rightfully deserves, buy new strings, down-tune and enjoy. It absolutely shreds!
