We live in a great time when there a lot of new and NOS tube choices available. That said, I love the way these sound in my 18-Watt Marshall Clone. Very happy.

Have an Vox AC10, it started to act up a bit with some crackling, buzz sound. Went right to the technical section and it pointed right to the tubes. Read the reviews about the Meas EL-84 tubes and it seemed the right way to go. Put these in and it did the trick. Sounds great. Thanks Sweetwater.

Was getting some crazy squealing out of my Mesa Express 5:25 which I eventually tracked down to a bad power tube. Popped these in and it sounds good as new! Sweetwater great as usual.

Have a VOX AC10 (bought from Sweetwater) and love it, but one of the original power tubes burned out. So this was my excuse to do a total tube replacement. Ordered a complete set of tubes (that arrived extremely quick) from Sweetwater and installed them. WOW, it's like having a new amp. The amp sounds more open and rich. Ok. So I've got a Mesa Boogie Nomad 45. Bought it used for a great price. I noticed some volume fluctuations sometimes. So it was safe to say I needed new tubes. The Mesa Tubes are awesome. They've breathed new life in the amp.

Put these in a Blackstar amp and love the tone. Cut out a lot of the noise and feedback. Highly recommend. Thanks Derek.

So, I know this is supposed to be a review for the tubes so I will lead with: they're Mesa tubes. They are matched, conveniently plug-and-play, and perfect for my Mesa. They arrived undamaged and in a timely manner

Now, what I really want to talk about customer service. I spent ~$50 bucks on a set of tubes. That's it. I had some how never made a purchase from Sweetwater before in my years of buying gear off of the internet. The day after I placed my order, I was contacted via email by a customer service representative to let me know my order was being processed (not an automated email; I got one of those too). I was called by the same customer service rep to let me know when my order had been shipped and to ask me about my purchase experience to make sure everything was good to go - no survey requests or anything, just making sure everything went smooth. Then the department manager contacted me after my order arrived to make sure I had everything and ask if I needed anything else. Lastly, my order was packed well enough to survive a combat drop j to enemy territory. There was also a brochure, a Sweetwater sticker, and a bag of candy.

Now, I know this is a LOOOONG review, and 90% of it has nothing to do with the product, but I wanted to do this mostly to show my appreciation for the level of customer service experience I received. They probably spent as much money in employee pay, packaging, and "goodies" sent in the packaging as I actually spent. To me that says this is a company that truly values their customers, regardless of how much or little is spent. Further, with the lengths they went to over this time purchase, I feel extremely confident that if there was ever a problem that I would not get the run-around on a solution. Sweetwater has, with these simple gestures, earned my business on a go-to-first basis going forward.

My Mesa Rectoverb 25 combo was in need of power tubes as the gain was weak and tone controls were lacking control at all. Sweetwater really saved the day by having these in stock with free shipping. Best part is by getting the Mesa tubes I do not have to re-bias the amp. Just plug and play. Now my Mesa combo is breathing fire again, with gain and tone control for days.

I own a Vox ac10c1 amplifier and the original tubes were making noise. I replaced them with another brand and had a noise on the E note or any chord with an E note in it. Problem came within the first half hour of installation. Ordered these and installed and the problem went away. I think the amp sounds better than ever. I will only buy these tubes from now on. Lesson learned. Don't try to save a few bucks on tubes.

Awesome customer service and product

I bought these to replace the JJ"s in my Blues Jr. I just replaced the stock speaker for a Eminence swamp thing and in doing so I could hear the JJ"s making a ringing sound I didn"t care for. I looked on several tube sites and reviews and these kept coming up as a great choice. These are already matched, balanced, burned in and tortured. So no need to make decisions on what to add before ordering like on a tube site. They sound Phenomenal! Warm, clear, articulate and creamy, It"s all there. I just found my favorite tubes for my Blues Jr.

I get these tubes because they are the factory replacement and I'm not tech savvy enough to deal with bad tubes. These work great, are reasonably quiet (tubes just aren't silent) and provide fantastic sound. I only get about 125 hours out of them, which I guess is because there are only two tubes in my amp.

Installed a pair of these in a Blackheart Handsome Devil 15 combo. These tubes brought the amp to life! If you have a class A tube amp you should give these tubes a try. Top quality Russian made to last.

swapped out JJ stock power and preamp tubes with mesa EL-84 and mesa 12ax7 in my Dark Terror. I'm blown away! Worth the investment!

My rating for this power tube is 100 out of 5. Fantastic tones on clean & dirty. Dirty sounds very crunch and warm. Random static that allegedly DT25 is notorious for has disappeared!!! Rich bottom and great sustain. Highly recommended!

As someone who is fairly new to tube amplifiers, I was a little anxious about what to do when the tubes in my Line 6 DT25 combo started acting up. One of the guys I play with on Sundays uses a Mesa boogie combo with Mesa tubes and it always sound great so I knew I couldn't go wrong with this pair of EL-84s. They do not disappoint! The minute I put these bad boys in, my amp sounded as good as ever! Thrilled to have these new tubes in my amp! Well done Mesa Boogie. And thanks Sweetwater! You guys are excellent.

I have always replaced with the OEM brand matched tubes. There's a clarity that I expect from MB and that's exactly what I get. Boogie amps, Boogie tubes. BooHaa!

Makes my Line 6 DT25 sound great!

I immediately put the old tubes back in and everything was fine. I was reading up and this grey set is a little hotter than what my mesa mini rectifier will take. Went with a genelex set and haven't had the "on fire" smell! I need a green set and for some reason nobody carries those.
