Superb bass amplification!

By Kelby Kimberlin from Emporia, KS on July 20, 2023

I'm a bassist of thirty years. I've played through a variety of combos and externally powered cabinets. This GK combo pretty much beats them all. It's lightweight and definitely packs a punch. It's easy to use and has a range of eq flexibility. I played a gig just this past weekend and afterward the sound engineer complimented my volume and tone and told me at one point he muted me in the p.a. and the amp was providing enough sound to cut through the drums and guitars. I actually pair mine with an old school Ampeg tube preamp. But the GK combo alone is more than enough for most players. Buy it!

Good overall

By Anthony Lukianowicz from Cape Coral Florida on May 25, 2022 Music Background: Very experienced

I use the GK mb-410-ii in a church the seats 300 people. I also have the 410MBP powered extension. This might be more than needed but my worship team wants "morebass" on stage since they expect me to drive the beat. With or without the powered extion there is more than sufficient headroom to monitor very loud without any distortion or breakup. These have become quite expensive but for what I paid, I am very pleased.

500 Watt combo that actually delivers 500 Watts

By Michael from Virginia on August 30, 2018 Music Background: Bass Guitarist

I've used and loved a small (200W 1x12) GK practice amp for years but relied on various larger amps for performances: Ampeg 50W tube head + 2x10 cabinet, Markbass 500W 2x10 combo, and Fender Rumble 500W 2x10 combo. But there's no substitute for the 4x10 configuration such as that featured in the GK MB410. Reason being, a head unit won't push more than ~ 300W max to anything less than 8 ohms of speaker load. The GK MB410 is the only high-quality, excellent-sounding, self-contained 500W combo... For Markbass/Fender/etc to advertise their 2x10 combos as "500W" is misleading -- you'd have to chain an external 2x10 cabinet to achieve anywhere near 500W of power.

Simply amazing!

By Kevin Forshag from Houma, LA on February 8, 2018 Music Background: Bass and drums

I ordered this combo after considering the Markbass 2x10 tilt back combo (overpriced in my opinion) and a few others. I got the demo model from Sweetwater for a significant discount and it arrived today. The condition of this demo model is pristine - no blemishes, etc. Like brand new! The packaging was great also. I bought this sight unseen and have never played through one, but I am blown away ... crisp, clean highs and booming lows. The horn adds sparkle if desired and it's not overwhelming. The contour button allows for a more laid back smooth tone, but I'll just mess with it when I gig to see what I like. I'll be playing a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass with Elixir Super Light gauge strings, and so far just from my initial fooling around with it, I am completely satisfied and can't wait to gig with it next week. I just wish Sweetwater carried the padded slip case for this model, but I'll order directly from GK. I can't thank my rep, Joe, enough for taking time to chat with me on the phone about this combo and let me make the decision, and the bag of candy that came with the order was icing on the cake. This is my first time dealing with Sweetwater and am completely satisfied, so thanks Joe and Sweetwater for a fantastic buying experience. Will definitely buy from them again in the future!!

Powerful and define sound

By Jaime A Holcombe from TX on May 24, 2016

I've been playing guitar for 35 years and have just started playing bass guitar. I needed a powerful amp that could compete with a loud Marshall stack for jamming with my band and boy, does this amp really gets the job done. Extremely powerful, with 500 watts of true power (no need to add cabs, it delivers the full 500 watts through the 4 10" speakers. The sounds is very defined and clear, and the on board equalizer is real handy to dial in the sound I'm looking for. I've tried both active and passive pickups and they both sound great using the contour and limiter options. Josh Dillon at Sweetwater once again did a great job helping me pick the right amp for my needs and taking care of everything so that I could get it delivered fast and safe.

Great Combo

By Joe B. from Kansas City on March 4, 2017 Music Background: Pro

Lots of power and great tone flexibility. This guy can keep up with a loud drummer and have headroom to spare. From round and fat to bright and punchy this guy performs above my expectations. I would like to see a metal grill on the front. The cloth grill is quite flexible making it too easy for something to hit the drivers.
I should also mention that as always, my friends at Sweetwater took great care of me during this purchase.
My GK - Sweetwater experience certainly a good one.
