Outstanding piece of gear

By Larry J. Arszman from Cincinnati, OHio on April 8, 2024 Music Background: Been playing music since I was in the 4th Grade....I'm in my 70's and still playing professionally in a Las Vegas STYLE show band.

I needed something small, compact, lightweight with a DI and a great sound. This unit met all those criteria.

My only comment is that I would have liked a cover for it to protect it.

I've been out of the music loop for years. With my new amp I got more than I expected. I love the sound, performance, and overall quality of my peavey 150. I'm very happy with it and thank Sweetwater Corey for all his help.

Max Your Combo

Encore! Connectivity, control, projection. There just isn't enough I can say about the new MAX bass combos from Peavey. Everything about this amp speaks quality. The 12 only weighs 36 lbs and covers everything. Even the finish on the box is excellent! Thanks Sweetwater.

Perfect

150 watts doesn"t sound like much. But if u use this amp correctly it"s plenty. This series of amps is made to be a stage monitor for big gigs and an actual amp for small gigs. Everything runs through a PA nowadays and Peavey has built something specifically for that. I love this amp.

Cool but ???

So nothing crazy packaging wise, which isnt a big deal but no manual? Hmmm very strange

Comparing AMPS

Just bought this Peavey MAX 150 1x12" and the Galleien-Krueger (GK) MB 112-II....
The Peavey was ok and had lots of bells & whistles but did not come through with a Wide range of Frequency response. The Gallien-Krueger had less Bell & Whistles but I could tweet any Frequency on it and It really Came through ( High, Mid High, Low Mid, & Low ) the "Contour" Button works/sounds fine. A REAL Punchy Sound if you want it ...you can mail it in :)

So to sum it up for the price, it's worth it as long as your not going to Gig with it in large Venues and can make adjustments in you DAW if using the DI. my $.02 :)
