Ok, let's keep this short and too the point.

* These things set up in a minute. Fast, fast, fast.
* These speakers look elegant and professional, (I have a pair of black ones).
* These speakers sound INCREDIBLE right out of the box.
* These babies BUMP..!!!

If you have done your research you probably know all the specs on these and have watched tons of review videos. So, let me bring up 2 features that not many, (if any), reviewers have keyed in on.

First, the subwoofer volume knob. This simple little feature is fire. If I'm running a set of dinner music, then I have the volume down low. No problem, these speakers still sound great. However, I like to add a little bass to the sound to keep the energy up in the room. Having a knob on the back of the sub that let's me dial in as much as I want is very convenient. The same applies to the dance music part of the night. If you put on a song and the dance floor just filled up, adding more sub using the volume knob sounds better than adding bass eq.

Second thing is the fact that these speakers are actually a quasi 4-way system even though they are rated as a 3 way system. The columns have 2 groups of 6 speakers that are 3.5" and have waveguides to increase sound dispersion to about 120 degrees. However, those 2 groups of speakers are tuned to reproduce DIFFERENT ranges of mid frequencies. The bottom group of speakers produces mostly the lower mids and the top group produces the high mids. So, what does this do for you? It makes the speakers sound clearer. You can hear different instruments and vocals better because the speakers are more efficient when they are focused to produce a smaller range of frequencies.

Most column speakers are a 2-way design. A few, (including these), are a 3-way design but the LD engineers went a step further with the Maui 44 G2 and I heard the difference the first time I listened to them. I played a bunch of tunes I have heard many, many times and I felt like I was hearing them for the first time because I was hearing things in the songs that I had never heard before.

Just one more thing, I have to give a HUGE thank you to the Sweetwater team. One of my subs was damaged in shipping, (UGGH..!!!), but the awesome people at Sweetwater got a replacement out to me the next day even though they were BURRIED in Black Friday orders..! You just can't go wrong if you are doing business with Sweetwater..!!!

I cannot say enough about these speakers. The sound quality is out of this world good. The crisp highs to the great mids to the stellar sub. I was using this at an event for 2-300 people and one guy asked where is the sub located? I pointed to the bottom and showed him and he was blown away. Super great quality build again out of LD. I am super impressed with their whole line that they have. I do wish there was some more handles but it is all good. Great work as always with my sales guy Scott whom is the best.

I have had these speakers for about 1 year now. My old stacks of speakers have been sitting collecting dust so I sold them this weekend..paid over 20k for them and these LD maui sound way better, faster, easier. Lighter and better dispersion for sound
