Ibanez Mario Camarena (Chon) Signature MAR10 - Lavender Metallic Matte Reviews

Solidbody Electric Guitar with Basswood Body, Roasted Maple Neck and Fingerboard, HSS Pickups, and Tremolo Bridge - Lavender Metallic Matte

As one half of CHON's rock-candy melodic assault, Mario Camarena depends on his Ibanez signature guitar to deliver the goods and keep on ticking, night after night. The MAR10's comfortably curvaceous, tonally rich sculpted basswood body and C-profile roasted maple neck and fingerboard, radiused to 12" and handsomely appointed with Sharkteeth inlays and 24 long-lasting stainless-steel frets, gives the MAR10 unbelievable comfort against the body and the feeling of luxury in the hand. Ibanez's Super All Access Neck Joint seamlessly mates body and neck for unfettered access even into the highest frets. Seymour Duncan Hyperion HSS passive Alnico V pickups, powered by Ibanez's 9-way dyna-MIX9 switching system, endow the MAR10 with a wealth of great lead and rhythm tones that are just itching to find their way onto your tracks. A full outfit of rock-solid Gotoh hardware — MG-T locking tuners and a T1502 trem bridge — lets players whammy, dive, and texturize to heart's content without fear of dropping tuning mid-set. Stake your claim in a piece of CHON's tonal foundation — check out the Ibanez MAR10 Mario Camarena signature electric guitar from Sweetwater.

The search is over (for now)

I have had this wonderful piece of equipment for a month now and I have to say, simply amazing!! This being the first Ibanez guitar I own, I'm in love with this guitar.
First let me just say that this is the first guitar I own that is in the $... dollar range and I have to say it is worth every penny. It's like night and day compared to my other guitars. Now I did have a problem with a bridge anchor popping out when I was changing stings. A little glue and it was like it never happened.
What I love about this guitar is everything!! The pickups are the best I have ever heard, the Hyperions really are the most balanced and full sounding passives I have ever played. No hum, clarity is unrivaled, very sharp and pronounced. I play through a Peavey 6505+ Combo, I've gotten a decent tone with my other guitars but it wasnt there till now, I'm alittle closer. I was also extremely happy this guitar comes equipped with 9 different voicings, so many different sound journeys this guitar has taken me on. The neck on this thing is beefy yet so darn comfortable you dont wanna put it down. The color alone is a reason to buy this guitar. The bridge is a floater, so be prepared if you dont have any experience with these. They can be a hassle....buuuuuuuuut this one isn't! The locking tuners are a freakin lifesaver!!
Only downside was the bridge anchor coming out but that was a breeze to fix. This guitar is quickly becoming my #1. and I am sure if you get your hands on one it will become yours as well. Now to catch Chon when this pandemic eats it, Cheers!!
