Martin lifespan strings in bulk
These strings are a awesome deal as i gig 3 to 4 times a week and change my strings once a week. The customer service at Sweetwater is great!
Disappointed
I really wanted to like this product. Less packaging, the Martin name... But I found that the strings themselves were far inferior in terms of tone, feel, and lifespan to the coated strings from D'Adario and Elixir that I had been using (and to which I shall be returning).
Also, the packaging is very awkward. All of the low E's are bundled together with a zip tie. All the A's same thing, etc... To cut the zip tie would be to literally have loose strings unraveling. To keep them zip tied is to put a kink in the string as you try to pull it out.
Lastly, the box says they are "treated". I took that to mean that they had a protective, lifespan increasing coating on them. It neither felt or sounded like they did.
I will not be buying these again.
Not What You Think!
BEWARE! This IS NOT 25 packs of strings like you think. This is individual strings in long plastic sleeves, laying inside the box. There is no way you could put these in your guitar case and take them with you.
