I purchased this because I was experiencing noise with a particular group of equipment in my studio. I previously had a power conditioner that showed my power dropping as low as 110 at times. I replaced the power conditioner with this voltage regulator and the voltage stays at a consistent 120V and the noise issue is gone. It does have a tiny audible hum itself, but nothing that interferes with my recordings.

Works great.

This is the standard. It protects the unit and conditions the power. Thats what I need and thats what it does. Perfect!

I have used one of these for 15 years! Has saved me a lot of money. It has shut my equipment down may be 6 times in 15 years. And has kept me going due to lack of proper power no telling how many times! This is a must for anyone!!! And I'm purchasing another one!!! NO BAND SHOULD BE WITHOUT ONE! And the few times it shut down I was over powering it myself. Trying to run too much on one 15 amp circuit.

I'll try to be brief and concise. 1. My old Furman AR 117 Voltage Regulator finally met it's match at an outdoor gig. It saved all the gear, but it went down for the count.
2. Why a 5 star rating ? Because Furman has improved their product to be so much more than my old unit, at a very reasonable price. The M-8X AR even though it is heavier, it is also more protective of our expensive gear.
3. Last, but not least by any stretch of the imagination, my Sales Engineer Josh Estock has developed a excellent business relationship with me, and has earned my trust. He can guide me if I need any technical questions answered or if I just need some practical common sense shared for a happy outcome.
