Love my new mixer!

By bonnie hope from SANTA BARBARA, CA on April 17, 2023

I've had Numark mixers for years, and they just keep getting better!
Wasn't looking for any bells and whistles, just a tried and true mixer.
This is it!
Just bought a second one for my staff. Best decision!

Solid old school type unit that meets my current needs. Bought with confidence from Sweetwater

By Al from New Jersey on November 16, 2020 Music Background: Drummer, DJ and former Bass player

I have made a couple purchases from Sweetwater the most recent was the Numark M6 4 channel Mixer. This review is more about how satisfied I am with the superb service from Sweetwater during and after the purchase of my gear. I feel confident purchasing any equipment from Sweetwater, their highly knowledgeable sales and support staff are there to help and answer any questions you may have. Exchanges are a breeze, warrantees are honored no questions asked and their focus is in meeting and exceeding the customers' expectations as they have with every one of my purchases.
As to my recent purchase of the Numark Mixer, it is an "old school" type mixer without all the bells and whistles of the newer units available but it is what I was looking for and so far is working quite well. And as I mentioned before I am confident that if I have any issues with this or any other purchase Sweetwater will address them to my satisfaction. Thanks Sweetwater and keep up the great work.

Old School Build, Modern USB Connectivity

By Ken O on June 5, 2019

First thing, this unit is big, heavy with an old school retro-style construction. Think back in the day Radio Shack or Realistic brand and you get the idea. Second thing, this mixer does everything it's designed to do in a basic, straightforward way, and does it all really well. This isn't SSL quality, of course, but it handles simple DJ mixing duties while keeping the signal path pretty darn quiet. We use the USB channel for Virtual DJ software,or any other music output from laptop, then add in 2 secondary sources for DJ tracks via channel/ line in's. The faders, cross-fader, and potentiometer knobs are all old-school mediocre; they get the job done w/o any issues. The 3 band EQ could be better quality, although their range is a cut above average. Highly useful; 2-band EQ just doesn't cut it. The mic input deserves a better preamp but it does the job. We send the main outs of the Numark M6 to a Behringer XR12 mixer so we can easily get a FOH mix via tablet, then we output the XR12 to our PA system. We made a custom case/angled "rack" that allows the M6 to set at an angle on our DJ table, making it easier to see. Again, this mixer is BIG..and TALL. Yet, it's worked out very well for us,has proved to be durable, plus survived many gigs. We just bought another one from Sweetwater and it's awesome to get their 2-year warranty and product support with every purchase. All in all, the M6 does a reliable job, so we highly recommend you consider it when looking for a basic DJ mixer. Thanks Sweetwater, you guys rock.

Provides All The I/O We Needed

By Texasaurus Records on May 30, 2019

Does all the basics at a sweet price and has endured many hours of use. We needed a mixer that provided stereo USB streaming out for our main music source via software on our laptop, plus a couple stereo line-in's for two additional sources, such as tablet, CD player, phone, etc. The M6 has proven to be the best choice for us, by far. We use a basic Behringer wireless mic to handle any dialogue needs, but an SM58 works just fine, too. There are more expensive options but this one fits our needs, and budget, perfectly. DON'T forget... order from Sweetwater, as they are the ONLY people that fully back the gear they sell, and actually know what it's used for out in the world.

More the I expected

By D. Mindach from Indianapolis Indiana on October 15, 2018 Music Background: Dance Club DJ - IT Professional

I have been a dance club DJ for may years, and used a lot of expensive equipment and this unit does the same great job at very low cost! I use 2 computers and have settled on Linux (instead of Windows or Mac for stability) and this unit works great! The "Class Compliant" USB built in sound card installs itself and sounds exceptional even when compared to other much higher priced units.

My one wish is that it had 2 USB inputs but you can't have everything.

Con; (or in my case a plus) no CD player, I have gone completely digital.

M6 usb

By Olu Omokeji from Parlin, NJ on December 18, 2023

I went for this mixer because of the design and functions which seemed interesting. My only issue was that it has only one ground connector. Unfortunately, I have two turntables which have ground wires. I was told to connect the two ground wires to the single connector but it didn't work. I had to return it. However, I love the build quality and the design. If you don't need two ground connectors, this a very good device.

Ground wire post too small

By DJ Montague Free from Naptropolis on December 9, 2021

So the nut came off of the ground screw post and this thing is tiny . The manufacturer does not offer replacement parts . The ground post diameter is so small it is very tedious to hook up your turntables . A real drag and if you lose that nut good luck it's going to be even worse with a tiny replacement nut.

Absolute GARBAGE

By Sweetwater Customer from WI on January 20, 2023

I bought this and had to return it TWICE because the manufacturer did a REALLY BAD job making this. All three mixers didnt work and its a total RIP-OFF if you buy this. DO NOT BY THIS MIXER YOU WILL NOT GET A WORKING ONE EVER
