Great mic at a great price

By Thomas R. from Roscoe, IL
Music Background: Director of Music & Worship Arts

I got this mic at the recommendation of my sales rep, because the one that comes with the Line 6 wireless system won't stay near my month, and doesn't bend well, just springs back to its original position.
I love it! Sounds great, shapes to my face, and works with the Line 6 transmitter just fine.
I highly recommend it as a replacement mic, and it appears to be available with several different connector styles.

Great mic for guest speakers

By Dave from Baton Rouge, LA

I was pleasantly surprised at this headset's clarity and overall usability. I bought it to do away with the lapel mic guest speakers use at the church. Compared to the countryman the senior pastor uses, I am just as happy with this. The gain and eq settings were very close. The countryman is super adjustable and this is more of a one-person mic. This unit is more bendy and easy to manipulate for different guest speakers. At a third of the price this works great. In our case we use a single shure blx wireless, into an xlr splitter, then into the mixer, so we can have separate channels and more importantly separate gains for the headsets but still share a single wireless pack.

You will not be disappointed

By Rev. E. from Hockessin DE
Music Background: Public speaker

I have been a public speaker for 30 years as a pastor speaking multiple times a week. This mic is by far the best speaking mic I have ever used. I have had the privilege of using mics that cost $100's of dollars more than this one but the Acacia Audio LIZ Roadster Headworn Microphone for Shure Wireless - Tan is just as good for the fraction of the price.

Not good on longevity - but...

By Simon B. from New London, NH

I love the way this mic picks up, and I love the way it makes me sound - some mics accentuate my sibilance, this does not. I use this mic often on the road from halls, to gyms, to libraries, outdoors - everywhere I need it basically and often. I have a case for it and look after it. I bought it in February of 2020, so 2020 through 2022, it was not used a whole lot, but I am a "road warrior" in New England. It has done well, but the mic cord (that goes to the pack) recently began crackling. Something is wrong and it is barely three years old, and the first two years were pandemic years, so really I have not used it that much. I did not pay a lot for this mic, admittedly, and here's the but... it has a replaceable cable, so I have ordered a replacement, thanks to my wonderful rep Dennis K. making a save! I really wish someone would make a good strong mic that will last that is under $. I use it with a Line-6 system, and that mic lasted a while longer. Maybe it's time to break open the wallet a little wider!

Acacia Dual-Ear Headset Mic, 3.5mm, Tan

By Duane B. from Saint Therese Senior Living, Woodbury, MN

We designated one person to use this mic to prevent abuse of the mic. It broke into two in less than two months and needed replacing.

Pleasantly Surprised

By Craig from Midwest
Music Background: sound designer and engineer

We bought two of these for a high school production due to budget constraints. I've been a professional theater sound designer for 20 years and have used most lav and headset mics that are on the market from very nice DPA's all the way to $25 specials. I must say these were a nice surprise at the price point. Of the 4 types of microphones used for this show, they sounded the most natural and required the least amount of eq to make them sound good. The top end was nice, not overly sibilant or crispy. The midrange was not hollow or overly woody sounding. My only complaint is that they don't have a ton of adjustability for mic placement, so if you're not careful, the mic can get in front of the performers mouth and cause some excessive breathing noise or a little fartiness at higher spls. Overall though, this is a bargain for what you get. For community theaters or schools, I would definitely recommend these. We've only used them for one show so far, so I can't speak to their durability yet. However, they do have replacement cables and parts so they are somewhat serviceable!

A perfect fit

By Tim P. from Spring Hill, FL

I originally got this Shure wireless with a lapel mic. We have a dance band with a Dance Caller and the lapel just didn't make the cut with constant feedback. Our Dance Caller loves me for getting her this headword mic...A Perfect Fit.

Performance Plus

By Tim from Spring Hill, FL
Music Background: 50 years live music performance & sound engineering

Let me start by saying that we play Old Time Music, 1850's. We play for lots of dances and we originally bought the Lapel mic but had so many problems when our Dance Caller tried to use it.
I purchased this headword mic and it performed flawlessly! Everyone happy, no feedback and plenty of headroom.
A great choice that won't break the bank.

better than the one ear model

By Sweetwater Customer

We just had too many issues with the one ear model being stable for different speakers. Went to this ant it is much better. Don't waste your time with the one ear model mic. This is much more stable.

MORE STABLE

By Sweetwater Customer

Get this over the one ear model. IT is much more stable when wearing it and not as prone to unwanted movement.

Great Mic

By Deacon J. from Mount Joy, PA

We had many concerns expressed about our sound system before we started to use this mic. In fact we were looking to upgrade the speakers in our church to address this problem. But since using this mic we have had very positive comments on how well the people can hear what Father Ted says and are no longer pursuing a speaker upgrade. Thanks Sweetwater!

You can Trust Ron

By Dale from Kent, OH
Music Background: Ordained Minister

I am a retired Ordained Minister and now I only perform wedding ceremonies in many states. I needed a new microphone and set up and didn't know where to begin. I reached out to Ronuel Viera from Sweetwater. He understood my needs and directed me to exactly what I needed. I have also reordered additional pieces to the sound system and once again he was the guy I reached out to. Ron is good, dependable and understands needs and I appreciate his professionalism.

Excellent Value

By Sweetwater Customer

We had been having static issues with our pastor's expensive headset microphone. At first, he commented that the Acacia LIZ seemed a little bulky, but his voice is now crystal-clear with great volume and no static . . . using the same Shure beltpack as before.
I think the Acacia LIZ is a great headset value. Thus far, I view the bulk as durability.

Fantastic Mic

By Pastor J. from Mansfield, Ohio
Music Background: Pastor, former worship leader

I bought this microphone to use for preaching at church. My old headset mic would not stay in position, so I wanted one that hooked on both ears. For the price, I couldn't lose with this mic b/c I knew Sweetwater would take it back if the sound was terrible. Man is this mic hot! The first time I used it, it clipped badly. Not good. Then I turned the mic volume on my Audio Technica pack all the way down. The mic is still white hot, but no clipping. Crystal clear sound. Puts the hand held mics to shame. Why would you pay more for some other headset unless you just want to throw money away. If you're thinking of a headset mic, look no further. Once the word gets out on these, they won't be able to keep them in stock! I would give it 10 stars if I could!
