I needed something for clip launching and other control functions in Ableton Live, and had a very tight space where I wanted it to go -- the right top deck of a Native Instruments Kontrol S/49 mkIII. It's a perfect fit for that spot! It's making it possible to make my live jam streams smoother and more interesting.

I bought one with the intention of using it with Reaper and Ableton, which it should be able to do. I have no interest in using Studio One. Both DAWs I use won't recognize it, and Presonus's Universal Controller also isn't working with it. I tried contacting to Presonus's customer support, but it's terrible. And I've seen on forums that other people have had this same issue, and Presonus is only interested in pushing more products, and not acknowledging issues with their products.

One of my user defined pages is all my live shortcut keys. It really streamlines my workflow. Highly recommend. The pads and lights are really nice for how cheap it is!

This is the first time for me using one of these and I did have some reserves until I researched it more and then decided to purchase one. So Glad I did. Using the software it works flawlessly and I caught on quickly in creating my own beats. Definitely a must for your studio and to use on the go. You can easily create a whole ensemble at the push of a few buttons.
Create your tracks and loop them together. Don't know why I never got one sooner. As far as being smaller then the other ones, Doesn't bother me. It's easier to carry around with you and from what I have read it performs just as good as the bigger ones. My advice, Buy one and see for yourself.

I've been in the process of trying to put together a small starter studio for my son. Everything I get from Sweetwater is top notch equipment that comes with warranty. Once again Sweetwater has came through strong with a quality piece of equipment. If you use Ableton 10 live this sound pad is perfect. Plugs rights into your computer through USB. My son loves it. I'm happy the equipment Sweetwater sells usually has tutorial videos to help you learn your gear. The last guy I called at Sweetwater wasn't very friendly to me and pretty much told me to youtube it. My guy Cameron is awesome though. He's 10/10 on service and would strongly recommend him in any customer service environment. Cameron is definely someone who lives up to the Sweetwater name. The only thing in my sons studio that I did not order from Sweetwater was a pop screen and its cheap junk. Anything I get for the studio I will only get from Sweetwater simply for the quality of product and warranty provided. Amazon is not a good place to get gear. I would recommend getting anything and everything through Sweetwater if you want quality product!

I use this to control custom actions in Reaper.

With the free and open-source DrivenByMoss Bitwig extension the feature set is better than what is supported in Ableton. I own an Arturia Keylab Essential 49 keyboard and it doesn't support clip operations in Bitwig. With this little guy next to my Keylab I have all the DAW control I need without having to invest in a Nektar keyboard in addition to my Keylab.
