Yamaha LS-TA TransAcoustic Concert - Vintage Tint
Yamaha LS-TA TransAcoustic Concert - Vintage Tint Reviews
The Yamaha TransAcoustic LS-TA 6-string acoustic-electric guitar is a great-sounding instrument that delivers an acoustic experience like no other guitar before. Because the onboard reverb and chorus effects don't require any external amplification, you'll enjoy the tones of playing in a rich and lively acoustic space no matter where you are. The LS-TA is constructed from all solid tonewoods, and the spruce top has been treated with Yamaha's ARE technology for a broken-in tone. The Yamaha TransAcoustic LS-TA will add new inspiration to your playing.
New Way to Play
I watched a lot of YouTube videos on the TransAcoustic guitars from Yamaha and was intrigued and initially ordered one of the FSCTA units. After looking at the LSTA offering my sales engineer, Lydia Larson was able to make the change before shipment. She truly went the extra mile and a half.
I'm an older guy and have premium guitars in my collection and this guitar can go shoulder to shoulder. I am really impressed with the build quality. The sound is really good unplugged but when you turn on the effects it really shines. One thing, you don't hear the effects as well as I thought I might. Sound is being projected from the sound hole therefore the effect is louder out front.
All in all I am very pleased with this guitar.
A “forever” guitar!
I have been playing my LS-TA for about 3 years, and I'm still in love with it. The craftsmanship and materials are easily on par with guitars twice its price. The effects aren't campy and work beautifully. I can't imagine wanting anything more in an acoustic guitar and plan to keep it forever.
Fingerstyle Machine
This guitar outplays and sounds as good or better than the guitars costing 5 times as much. Arrived setup and ready to go. The most sensitive top I've ever experienced. Tone is Boutique+ playability is crazy good. One of those guitars you cannot fudge. The only negative comment I would offer is that I don't care gor Elixirs. What a froggin steal this guitar is!
Amazing sound and quality
The Yamaha LS-TA is a fantastic guitar. All I had to do with it was put a Graph Tech saddle and bridge pins in it. I guess it improved the sound, maybe a little. The sound was already wonderful. The size is perfect for my needs. The Chorus and Reverb is so cool. They make it sound like a 12 string guitar. It was such a nice surprise. I'm having a hard time putting it down. I know my Les Paul, Telecaster and Jaguar electrics are jealous. I'll be playing this thing in the nursing home one day. Oh, yeah, Sweetwater is the best place to buy music stuff. Great service and a bag of candy comes with everything. Always free shipping!
Very gimmicky
I bought the LS-TA 3 months ago. I thought it would be nice to have a builtin Chorus and reverb. Nice idea when it works. I put new fresh batteries in and it's hit and miss with the Transducer working or not. When it does work it sounds like a cheap toy and then I turn off the TA and it will still sound even when it's off. Then there are times when it's turned off and it sounds like maybe the Transducer is just vibrating when plucking the strings. It's a pice of junk. I feel like taking out the transducer all together and use the guitar without it. Think twice about buying one.
Brand spankin' new guitar
Just received my new Yamaha LS-TA and am more than happy. The guitar is in perfect shape. It was superbly packed and expediently shipped. Sweetwater provided A-1 service throughout. I will highly recommend your company to all!
