Unbelievable!!!
I have owned many Les Paul custom shop guitars over the years. This is BY FAR the nicest looking and playing. LOOK at that top!!! I pre ordered this, and got SUPER lucky to get this when it came in! My sales engineer Jonathan is the best. You just can't go wrong with Sweetwater! If you are thinking about one of these, pre order now and hope one comes in because they are a limited run and already discontinued by Custom shop.
The Bengal
I'm gonna keep this short and sweet…
This is the most comfortable, easy player, I've ever put my hands on. 1/2 the credit goes to the Luther at Sweetwater for the PERFECT setup. Other 1/2 goes to Gibson. What a wonderful instrument. If you're on the fence, jump off it. Well worth it.
Beautiful guitar
I bought this guitar and returned it simply because I needed it to be in ebony. This guitar needs to be in ebony (without a Floyd Rose). Other than that, it played extremely well.

I'm a guitar collector and purchase most of my music equipment at Sweetwater. I've recently purchase a New 59' and 60' reissue custom shop Gibson with other competitor and got bad experience getting a used and display model.
This Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom Figured from Sweetwater came fresh out from the boxed, fully inspected, double box, tune. Its worth to wait if they have back order. Very Happy Customer.
I have been waiting for the right Les Paul and this is it
I honestly can't find anything I dislike about this guitar, it truly is one of a kind, even for a Gibson Custom Shop Axcess. The guitar is expensive, yes but if you can afford it, my advice would be to buy it. It's one of the few times in the music world where I actually feel like I got what I paid for. The guitar is very light, resonant and bright, obviously made from a great chunk of wood and the craftsmanship is off the chart. Also a shout out to JP Kapp at Sweetwater for making it happen.
Just what the doctor ordered!
I got this as a demo with a minor paint imperfection on the back of the neck. I was a little weary how the total qaulity would be, but I was amazed at the craftsmanship! Not only is it well made, beautiful, and sounds great, it's a back saver! It holds that Les Paul sound at a lighter weight. I recently had a major back surgery and needed a Les Paul that wouldn't fight me. I can play this as long as I want without hurting the upper fret access is also amazing and just a joy to play. I highly recommend this guitar if you want something modern, comfortable, and want that original Les Paul sound. The coil split is also a nice touch for versatility.
Amazing Guitar
I have a Les Paul Signature that I thought could not be a better guitar. I was wrong.
This Custom Bengal Burst has completely blown me away. Its craftsmanship is above anything I could have thought it would be, it's playability, sound, just freaking everything is perfect. My only hard decision was if I would add a pick guard as I do drag my pinky a bit. I decided to to add it, as I bought the guitar to play, not hang on a wall.

Dreams come true with Gibson's LP Bangle Burst!
If you love to play your guitar every day like I do, then you will, fall in love with this guitar! After waiting for Gibson to produce this work of art, I realize that it was worth the wait. Tyler and Justin took great care with my order, and were very professional in keeping me updated as to the progress of this new guitar's delivery date. The spectacular look of the Bangel Burst defies words. The neck is very fast and extremely comfortable to play. The sound from the Humbucking Pickups is a rich full vintage Gibson sound with a deep and dirty, to a bold and clean. I've been playing for over 50 years and have a nice selection of great guitars, but this awesome instrument from Gibson tells me that they have turned the corner, and are back on the tracks of building and producing very high quality guitars. You only live once, but if you live right, then once is enough. Yes, you deserve to own, play, sing, laugh and smile like I do every day! Finally there is no place like home, and Sweetwater is it for me! Their goal is to exceed the customers expectations, and they accomplished that with flying colors. I added a high quality Gibson strap to my order, and it arrived in a beautiful Gibson case safe and sound.
Beyond My Expectations
Before even purchasing this piece of instrument art, the Bengal Burst with the beautiful flamed top captured my attention at first sight during of this year (2019). Upon further investigation online, the appointments of this guitar were right up my alley. I wanted a classic guitar with modern appointments, and it looked like this Axcess Custom fit the bill. From the classic appeal of a beautifully flamed maple top, ebony fretboard, and ABR-1 bridge. To the modern appointments of an axcess neck joint, contoured body, apex headstock, and hot pickups that split with push/pull tone controls.
So after a few months of internal struggle, I decided to contact my awesome sales engineer, Norb Berninger (whom I whole-heartedly recommend to anyone) in May, and he put me on the waiting list. Come August, my guitar finally came and shipped out. Needless to say, at this price point, I already had certain expectations about the quality of this instrument before it arrived. Anything short of amazing would be an utter disappointment and I had set my mind that I'd send it back if it was. I was pleasantly shocked when the guitar came. Not only did it meet my expectations, it pleasantly surpassed it with ease. The playability of this guitar is second to none that I have personally played, including a PRS Custom 24 and a Custom Shop Tele. I have always loved my Gibson USA guitars (a Studio and a Standard). But the attention to detail on this instrument from the playability (fret work, neck carve, body contours, etc.) to the immaculate finish is simply on another level. The Custom Shop lived up to the hype. In my opinion, when they get it right they are clearly a cut above the rest, as they should be (considering their price point).
To be truly honest, the whole time I was waiting in line for the guitar and even during the shipping process, there was this nagging notion in the back of my head that my expectations wouldn't be met. I'm glad I was wrong.
